The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finally decided to move on from their mundane, text-based Twitter updates to providing high-quality video and digital graphic content through their social media profiles and it is the least to say that the fans have appreciated this strategy truly.
In the latest video shared by the Indian cricket board, the Men in Blue can be seen in their first team practice session after completing a three-day mandatory quarantine in their respective rooms and reassembling at the Ageas Bowl cricket ground in Southampton - the venue where the inaugural World Test Championship final will take place.June 10, 2021
The compilation shows some of the biggest names of the Indian cricket fraternity, like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Shami, among others, completely in their element and gearing up for arguably the most important one-off Test match of their lives.
However, with the background music and the slow-motion cuts of our bowlers taking their run-up, Pant’s iconic single-hand sixes in the nets, and close-up shots of the skipper have the followers of the squad ask whether it was a practice session video or a trailer for the next Avengers movie.

While the Indian cricket team made it to the United Kingdom just last week and the lack of practice time is expected to have an impact on their performance, their opponents, New Zealand’s Blackcaps have been since last month, have already played a Test against England at the Lord’s Stadium and will get to play another match before the WTC clash.View this post on Instagram
Arguably the greatest threat to the Indian batsmen, Trent Boult has finally joined the Kiwis and will be available for the second Test against Joe Root’s Englishmen which will help him warm up, get accustomed to the England pitches and become a valuable asset to the team.
On the other hand, NZ skipper Kane Williamson, who had a disappointing outing during the first and second innings of the Lord’s Test, has suffered an elbow injury and was ruled out of the second Test.
