Former chief national selector MSK Prasad has revealed that he used to have long heated debates with skipper Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri while picking the best combination for the team. Prasad added that their arguments used to be so intense that sometimes they didn't want to see each other. Prasad, who held the chief selector post from September 2016 to March 2020, further added that their differences lasted only momentarily and they used to greet each other nicely the next morning.
“There was a perception that you were too humble in front of someone like Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli. People can’t imagine how you could win arguments against such aggressive professionals?” Prasad told Cricket.com during an interaction.
