Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora have been dating each other and it's no secret anymore. They have very much admitted to being in a relationship and it's out in the open for the people to see. The two often share pictures on Instagram too. When they made it official, it was Malaika who had to deal with trolls and people who called her desperate. People even slammed her for dating someone who was so much younger than her.

Opening up about the age difference between Arjun and her, Malaika had told HT Brunch in an earlier interview, "The age difference doesn’t really pop up when you are in a relationship. It is about two minds and hearts connecting. Unfortunately, we live in a society that refuses to progress with time. An older man romancing a younger girl is hailed everywhere, but when the woman is older, she's called 'desperate' and a 'buddhi'. For people who think like this, I have just one line: Take a flying f***."

She was also asked about how his son Arhaan reacted to her dating Arjun. On this, she said, “I believe the best way to approach any situation is with honesty. It's important to tell your near and dear ones what's happening in your life and then give them time and space to understand and process things. We have had that conversation and I am so glad that everyone is in a much happier and more honest space today."

It’s sad that Malaika had to face the brunt of narrow-minded trolls. Calling her ‘buddhi’ and ‘desperate’ is downright demeaning.

Even Priyanka Chopra Jonas was questioned when she chose to spend her life with Nick Jonas.

Isn’t it unfair to target women when you have examples of male celebs marrying younger women like Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan? We also have Shahid Kapoor’s example who married a much younger Mira Rajput.
