  1. Whether it's a man or woman, their wedding day is arguably one of the most important days in their life. Starting a new journey with a person is full of excitement and the pre-wedding functions add to the fervour. Similarly, the photoshoots have also become an integral part of the modern-day wedding. From picturesque locations, eye-catching attire to romantic poses, wedding shoots remain a big hit among modern-day couples. While everyone's looking to make theirs a memorable one, have you wondered what a wedding photoshoot of a cricketer looks like? Well, thanks to Sanjida Islam, now we know the answer. © Twitter/@BCBtigers The Bangladesh women's cricketer recently tied the nuptial knot with Mim Mosaddeak, who plays first-class cricket for Rangpur. While there is nothing new about cricketers finding their soulmates in the same profession, Mitchell Starc and Alyssa Healy being a prime example, the 24-year-old Bangladeshi cricketer stumped everyone with her unique wedding photoshoot. Dress ✅ Jewellery ✅ Cricket bat ✅ Wedding photoshoots for cricketers be like ... 🇧🇩 Sanjida Islam pic.twitter.com/57NSY6vRgU — ICC (@ICC) October 21, 2020 Dressed in traditional attire and sporting pretty ornaments, Sanjida got her wedding photoshoot done on a cricket field where she was snapped playing her favourite game. The International Cricket Council (ICC) took note of her uncanny photoshoot and shared it on social media. Lovely pic...one of the best I have seen in recent times. God bless her.. — Prit (@prit_raman) October 21, 2020 Making her international debut in 2012, Sanjida has represented Bangladesh in 70 matches. A top-order batswoman blessed with natural timing, the right-hander has scored 174 runs in 16 One-Day International (ODI) games. When it comes to Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), the Bangladeshi cricketer has 520 runs to her name in 54 matches. She last featured for Bangladesh in a T20I against Sri Lanka on 2nd March. 2. Seriously man, how does Anil Kapoor manage to look so young, day and day out? Just take a look at his contemporaries, and you’ll see that at times it seems that the man hasn’t aged a single day ever since he turned 35. © Instagram/anilskapoor Just a few weeks ago, he posted a few pictures on Instagram, showing his biceps off, which went viral on the Internet. Honestly, it wouldn’t be farfetched to say that he definitely put most 30-year-old men to shame. © Instagram/anilskapoor And if that wasn’t enough, he is now seen to be working out at a beach in Alibaug. View this post on InstagramDuring the lockdown I was dreaming about the beach...dreaming of escaping...finally I get to the beach and my trainer @marcyogimead, makes me sprint...fitness always comes first...It’s not about the location but about the dedication... 📸 @marcyogimeadA post shared by (@anilskapoor) Well, now, he has dropped a rather tasteful masterclass on how to pose for and take elegant, but drool-worthy shirtless photos. © Instagram/anilskapoor First of all, there is the whole manscaping bit. Although we strongly believe that men ought to accept their body hair as it is, we also support it, if someone chooses to get rid of it, as long as it is done in a healthy manner. Then there is the backdrop of the photos. A clean, sandy beach, without any people or pesky hawkers in the background, with a part of the sea in the background, making waves, is just perfect. © Instagram/anilskapoor And then, of course, you ought to have the obligatory photograph, inside the pool. Now, it may seem to be a cliche, at times if you pose in a very cheesy way, it is, but this is far better than those shirtless selfies people click at the gym, trying to pop a vein. © Instagram/anilskapoor Say what you will about the man, but it seems like he has an endless supply of the elixir of youth. In all seriousness though, if we manage to look this good, and are somehow this fit when we cross 60, it will be nothing short of a miracle. View the full article
  3. Shivan and Narresh, for their 10-year anniversary, showcased their collection Wilding20s yesterday. Earlier, scheduled in March, the launch of the collection was postponed as the country was put under the lockdown amid the Coronavirus crisis. Now, changing the format of the show entirely and going digital for the first time, the resortwear luxury label set their show amid the rocky lakes of the Aravallis. The collection showcased 5 prints (represented by the 5 Iconodots of the label's logo), namely Gardenia, Oriri, Nebulous, Dame, and Camo Heart. © Shivan and Narresh We caught up with the designer duo to better understand how they organised this show and what challenges they faced. 1. The pandemic delayed your ten-year anniversary show which was originally scheduled in March. Have you altered the collection in response to the pandemic? © Shivan and Narresh It (the pandemic) changed everything, from the way things were done and the way we felt about everything. We have worked on the entire thing again. There is a drastic difference between the illustrations that were planned for the original show in March and the one that is taking place now. We have really simplified the show now. I think before the pandemic really hit us in March, like the rest of the world, we too were consumed with the consumerism of the fashion industry. Earlier it was defined by a lot of excessivenesses. However, in the pandemic, we just felt a lot more lighter in relaxed silhouettes. This, made us change the collection completely. This collection is completely refined, and completely wearable when you are on a holiday. It is generally a more ready-to-wear collection. View this post on Instagram#WILDING20s ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #ShivanAndNarresh #10thAnniversaryShow #Oriri #Swimwear #ResortWearA post shared by (@shivanandnarresh)2. What precautions have you taken for the show? What was the process of organising it and dealing with COVID-19 restrictions? There are both positives and negatives that come with organising a show in the middle of the pandemic. Getting 50 people to a location, getting them tested, making sure that they all reach on time. Shooting when a crowd of over 1000 people is watching us, the locals had gathered around, and we had to handle the crowd as well. Figuring out the technology and making sure it ran smoothly on the internet, were all things that were incredibly taxing. On the plus side, digitising fashion makes it very democratic. We're now able to reach out to so many more people than a physical show would have made possible. If it reaches that many people, they also get to see our dream and vision. View this post on Instagram#WILDING20s ⁣ ⁣ Stemming from the Latin word ‘origin’, the genesis of existence is constructed with a stirring blend of colors in Oriri, namely a syrupy Rouge, musky Fern, and sombre Haemo. A vibrant reimagination of the building blocks of life - the foundation of a single cell binds human evolution; the print is a textural amalgamation of whimsical yet chromatic undertones.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #ShivanAndNarresh #10thAnniversaryShow #Swimwear #ResortwearA post shared by (@shivanandnarresh)3. You have displayed iconograms this time for your show? What do each of them represent? © Shivan and Narresh The iconograms have been with the brand for ten years. We felt like it was time to show off all five animals together. With this show, we're showcasing all 5 holiday lifestyles which include the snail which represents the beach, the peacock represents resort wear, the dolphin represents the cruise, the elephant represents a safari and a reindeer represents the ski. We're also showing all 5 collections with this show. 6. In the last 6 months, there has been growing debate about luxury face masks, however, considering it is a crucial part of the 'new normal', what was the idea behind the conceptualisation of your line of masks? © Shivan and Narresh When this pandemic happened, we were the first ones to launch the designer masks here. For us, the economic argument played precedence. We felt that we needed to take care of our workers and continuing to employ them meant producing what was needed in the market. In order to ensure that their livelihoods were taken care of in these tough times, we decided that if the only category of clothing being purchased online was masks, we had to endorse it. © Shivan and Narresh Fashion is always the first industry to adapt to changing times. Fashion designers adapting to a new product line which the world wanted, was only natural in these changing times. Within the first few hours of going online with the face masks, we were selling them like crazy. In the pandemic that is here to stay till the time the vaccine is out, the mask is the new t-shirt of today. It's going to exist at all price points from Rs 20 to Rs 20,000. We're catering to the market that was anyway buying our products. © Shivan and Narresh 7. You introduced Menswear for your brand in 2016. How has the market changed since then for men? Are men more open to experimenting than before? We started out menswear only because we knew it would be a guilty purchase category at the beginning for us. Women would splurge lakhs on resort wear and we would constantly get asked about a collection for their significant others. Initially, we started off with swim shorts and polos for men. It became a kind of a guilty buy for women that if they're shopping anyway, they might as well shop for the men in the family as well. But within three months, we had men coming to the store asking for options in polos, varying styles in swimwear, asking for looser silhouettes, espadrilles, trousers, towels, and even accessories. Indian men are evidently not as conservative as we make them believe. In fact, their category is far stronger, as men in our experience have been extreme loyalists to our brand. Our repeat customers, in terms of men, have been so much higher. Once they buy a particular type of polo then they want the same in other colours as well and so it goes on. © Shivan and Narresh 8. How do you think the industry as a whole is dealing with the issue of sustainable and 'eco-friendly' fashion, especially this year when there is a growing use of plastic this year? The fashion industry is being affected in a huge way. Customers now care where the clothes that they buy are coming from, who is making them, and what will they do with it once they've worn it. This sort of awareness is cornering designers and brands to have a sustainability discourse that examines everything. From the chemicals that are used for dyeing fabrics, if they are harmful to the environment, to the number of collections that designers make in a year. There's no reason today to only make collections that are for editorials. All these arguments are simplifying fashion. They're making sure that if we make a collection, the edit is much smaller. Capsule and ready-to-wear collections are becoming more prevalent. It's completely rewiring the way our industry works and I feel like it was a much-needed change. View the full article
  4. While their rivals have been making merry, Manchester United has struggled to find their elusive form and even match-winning players in a painful era post Sir Alex Ferguson's trophy-laden reign. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been trying his best to bring the days of glory back to the hallowed Old Trafford, but it has undeniably proved to be an uphill battle. But, on 21st October, neither their past performances nor the lack of match-winners in their squad mattered, as Manchester United turned the clock back with a spirited performance against much-stronger rivals Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League group stage clash. Taking on one of Europe's biggest clubs, the Red Devils left everyone shell-shocked with a thrilling 2-1 win at Parc des Princes. © Reuters Solskjaer's men had taken a first-half lead following a Bruno Fernandes penalty. But, it looked like PSG would escape with a draw despite a poor performance when Anthony Martial headed a Neymar corner into his own net 10 minutes into the second half. In the end, Marcus Rashford, who had also scored a winner against PSG in 2019, once again stepped up to the task and slotted home the deciding goal in the 87th minute. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - tactically outplayed PSG away in the Champions League yet you’ll still hear people repeating the phrase “he has no tactics” that they’ve read from someone on the internet. — Jack (@UnitedHeaven_) October 20, 2020 For a team that had nowhere to hide following their embarrassing 6-1 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, United's result was a much-needed result for their distraught fans. From Solksjaer's tactics to Rashford's winner, the match had many positives for United. But, there were only two names, Axel Tuanzebe and Alex Telles, on the lips of Man Utd fans who're seen singing their praise. We finally have someone that can cross a ball, Telles you beauty 🇧🇷 — Aidan Walsh (@AidanWalshMUFC) October 20, 2020Tuanzebe is so clear of every other defender we have it’s not even close — Moe (@MoeThe6th) October 20, 2020Deploying a more defensive 5-3-2 formation to contain the attacking threat of PSG, Solskjaer handed their Deadline-Day signing Telles his debut on the left and academy graduate Tuanzebe his first senior start in 10 months to play with Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof in a three-man central defence. Both Axel and Alex couldn't have asked for a tougher assignment, but, contrary to popular perception, the performance of the Man Utd duo was nothing short of impressive. While the England defender impressed everyone with his defensive abilities that allowed him to successfully contain the PSG top three, his Brazilian teammate was lauded for his accurate crosses. Mental that Tuanzebe hasn’t played a game since Colchester in the League Cup last December because of injury and he’s not looked out of place tonight against PSG! — Ryan Jones (@RyJones93) October 20, 2020 Quick on his feet and physically strong, Tuanzebe has the right attributes of a top defender. But, it's his inability to stay fit that has worked against him in the past. But, in Paris, a fully-fit Tuanzebe looked in ominous form. © Reuters On a couple of occasions, the 22-year-old was left one on one with Kylian Mbappe but he stood up against the French star, dispossessing him of the ball without going to ground. He won 100 per cent of his aerial duels, had a 92 per cent pass accuracy and made seven clearances (more than any other United player in the game). these Telles crosses my word we might have the Brazilian Beckham — ‘ (@vintageredss) October 20, 2020 While Tuanzebe impressed in defence, Telles had a debut to remember against PSG. The left-back's technical ability showed that he can cross the ball with pinpoint accuracy - something United has missed dearly in the past. He ended the night with most crosses (eight) and created more chances (three) than anyone else on the pitch © Reuters He took a couple of excellent corners in the first-half and then followed it up with some menacing crosses in the box after half-time. In Telles, United have a player who'll not only bust a gut to make those overlap runs but also aid his teammates with solidity in defence. Placed in a difficult group, United will now face Rb Leipzig at home next week, with the German side looking dangerous following their 2-0 win over Istanbul Basaksehir. After that Solskjaer's men will find themselves bracing for a double-header against the Turkish champions before hosting PSG in December. View the full article
  5. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge completed 25 years yesterday and people celebrated the day as the nation's favourite jodi Raj and Simran continue enjoying a cult following, 25 years on. Just like many others, Swara Bhasker took to Twitter to share some photos of Shah Rukh Khan’s character Raj and wrote, “Find a guy who looks at you the way Raj looks at Simran!!!! #DDLJ25.”Find a guy who looks at you the way Raj looks at Simran!!!! #DDLJ25 ⁦ pic.twitter.com/49PrSmVF1J — Swara Bhasker (@ReallySwara) October 20, 2020 Soon, a Twitter user reminded her of how problematic Raj was. He wrote, ‘Raj does the following to Simran: 1. Lie that he raped her as a joke. 2. Tears her clothes in public (accidentally, but who pulls a woman by the back of her dress anyway?) 3. Forces her to dance, and in the process gropes her and feels up her bareback Why do women love creeps?”Replying to the same, she too criticized Shah Rukh Khan’s character in the film. In her tweet, she wrote, “Sadly u r are right.. I mean about what all Raj does. This is precisely the power of #Bollywood, right? It makes stalking seem romantic. And we all are influenced by it - sometimes in the form of nostalgia & sometimes despite our own best intentions. We all need to learn & change.”Sadly u r are right.. I mean abt what all Raj does.. We all need to learn & change :) :) https://t.co/LTXIDMz3NP — Swara Bhasker (@ReallySwara) October 20, 2020 Well, we do agree with the fact that we have been idolizing Raj for all the wrong reasons and the film did promote stalking and managed to send out quite a few wrong messages. Unfortunately, however, Swara was trending by the next morning for calling out Raj from DDLJ and people started to troll her opinion. Ha penchow...... Movie mat banao... 6. While Indian people were busy debating who would play all the characters in a Hindi remake of Money Heist and wondering if Shah Rukh Khan would actually play the professor or not, Pakistan has gone ahead and actually made their own version of the show. © Netflix Yes, a lot of popular shows are remade in different countries and the results are almost always disastrous, and yet, people have not learned the lesson that it's not okay to copy, especially when it's turning out to be extremely cringey. © Twitter I mean, look at the Pakistani Money Heist copy called 50 Crores, an action movie with an uncanny resemblance to the hit Spanish show. #50crore #action #ComingSoon #aijazaslam pic.twitter.com/GwGKtGkLhp — aijaz aslam (@aijazz7) October 18, 2020 Hmm. 7. Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s 2018 film, Zero. The film didn’t do well at the box office and the actor hasn’t shot for any other film since the release of Zero two years ago. © Red Chillies Entertainment However, fans can rejoice now as Shah Rukh is finally getting back to work again. As per reports, he will begin shooting for Yash Raj Films’ Pathan, from November-end this year. Initially, SRK was expected to collaborate with director Rajkumar Hirani but due to a delay in the script, Khan is set to work on YRF’s Pathan first. © Instagram Shah Rukh Khan The Ensemble Cast The film, as per the reports, also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham among others in pivotal roles. The two are expected to join the shoot from January 2021. The reports suggest that John will be seen playing the antagonist in the much-awaited film. © Twitter Shah Rukh and Deepika shall be romancing in this film which would be their fourth collaboration after films like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express and Happy New Year. When Will The Shooting Begin? As per a report in Mid Day, Khan will commence shoot of Siddharth Anand’s Pathan at Yash Raj Films studios in Andheri, Mumbai. The report says that given that there will be a lot of excitement around Shah Rukh’s return to films after nearly two years of sabbatical, producer Aditya Chopra has planned for a ‘tentpole actioner’. Other Details An unnamed trade source was quoted as saying, “The first schedule will be a two-month affair that will focus solely on Shah Rukh’s portions, after which the unit will take a New Year’s break. Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, who plays the antagonist, will join the second stint that is slated for January 2021. Like Siddharth’s previous outing War [2019], Pathan will be a slick and stylish revenge drama. Since the film marks Shah Rukh and John’s first on-screen union, Adi and Siddharth have etched out dramatic scenes featuring them. They have roped in action director Parvez Shaikh, who has worked on War, Brahmastra and Bell Bottom, to design high-octane fight sequences between the duo.” © KKRiders Twitter Shah Rukh is currently in the UAE, where his team Kolkata Knight Riders are taking part in the ongoing IPL 2020. He is often seen sporting long hair with a light beard, reportedly, the look for his upcoming film Pathan. The source added, “Shah Rukh will sport a stylish look with outfits curated by stylist Shaleena Nathani. Like Raees [2017] where he was seen wearing spectacles, this film will have him flaunting customised sunglasses.” SRK On Not Signing A Film After Zero © Red Chillies Entertainment Shah Rukh Khan had told Filmfare last year, “I have no film with me right now. I am not working on any film. Usually, what happens is when your one film is coming to an end, you begin work on your next film and I get involved within 3-4 months. But this time I am just not feeling like...My heart doesn’t allow me to...I just felt that I should rather take time out, watch films, listen to stories and read more books. “Even my kids are in their college stage...my daughter is going to college and my son is about to finish his studies. So, I just want to spend more time with my family,” he added. Well, one thing is for sure, SRK fans are going to be waiting with bated breath for the return of their hero. View the full article
  8. In actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s case related to his sudden and unexpected death, several angles have come to the limelight, including fake theories and false claims too by people on social media. © Twitter In that context, on Thursday, the cyber cell of Mumbai Police arrested a Delhi resident, identified as one Vibhor Anand, for allegedly spreading misinformation and levelling false claims around the deaths of Sushant Singh and the latter's former manager Disha Salian. © BCCL Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020, and the CBI probe into his death case is still going on. Who Is Vibhor Anand? © Twitter Vibhor Anand claims to be a lawyer (also a former pilot and self-styled aviation expert) by profession and has apparently had an unsettled past on the internet. From making sensational allegations on certain popular Bollywood actors and political bigwigs to dropping provocational statements regarding the 2012 Delhi gang rape and murder (Nirbhaya case), Anand has left no stone unturned in stirring controversy on the micro-blogging site. Recently, a Reddit user posted about Vibhor's profile. A post on Reddit's r/BollyBlinds community by u/BornJinx, which has now gone viral, elaborates a take on the backstory behind the internet notoriety of this self-proclaimed “lawyer”. Here’s What The Reddit Thread Says"Mr Anand has an interesting past: in 2012 he was calling Modi a murderer, but now calls himself deluded. Then he claimed that he fought for the Nirbhaya rapists for legal reasons and then lately claims that the girl's boyfriend who was also beaten up was the"biggest villain" and part of the rape. But "Delhi Police" was "helpless" and so they let him off.” Why Was He Arrested?Vibhor Anand was arrested from Delhi for allegedly spreading fake conspiracy theories in connection with the deaths of Sushant Singh Rajput and talent manager Disha Salian. The FIR was registered with the police in August this year after he allegedly posted three YouTube videos in which he was making defamatory statements and allegations against the Cabinet Minister Aaditya Thackeray, along with the state home home minister Anil Deshmukh. Why Is #ReleaseVibhorAnand Trending? Now many people on Twitter are demanding his release in relation to this case. In its crowdfunding campaign ad, Anand stated, "Since its inception, IABM has filed over 100 criminal cases across India against actress Swara Bhaskar, Dhruv Rathee, Sagarika Ghose, Shekhar Gupta, Aroon Purie, Barkha Dutt, Shehla Rashid, Rana Ayub, etc. collectively for spreading Fake and Biased News. And all these cases would soon reach courts for logical conclusion." In relation to this, High Court lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud, as quoted by a report, went on record two years ago to agree that IABM was trying to "silence dissent with the threat of harassment." Vibhor Anand has been booked for defamation along with other charges under the Indian Penal Code and Information Technology act, as per the reports. View the full article
  9. Say what you will about our film industries, but the one thing that they do get right most of the times, is making cop films very interesting, whether you speak of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, or any other film. It's as if they have perfected the formula for making films, based on the police. © Reliance Entertainment Believe it or not though, as good as those films are, and as stylish as the actors playing those cops can be, they don't hold a candle to the people who are cops in real life. Heck, some of these cops should act in their own films. © Instagram/sachinatulkar_ips Here are a few real-life cops, who are giving all the Singhams and Simmbas of Indian cinema, a good and hard run for their money through their style. 1. Sachin Atulkar © Instagram/sachinatulkar_ips Often dubbed as the most handsome cop in India, Sachin Atulkar is an IPS officer, who is currently posted in Madhya Pradesh. Apart from being one of the fittest cops in India, he is also one of the most impeccably dressed ones, with an amazingly sharp sense of style. 2. Naveen Kumar © facebook/naveen.kumar Naveen Kumar won the title of Mr Haryana in 2013, so that should tell you just how ripped the man is. He is currently with the Haryana Police, and is currently a senior sub-inspector. 3. Tejender Singh © facebook/tejendersingh Tejinder Singh was already a renowned bodybuilder in Punjab and Uttarakhand before he joined Uttarakhand Police in 2006. He is considered to be of the fittest policemen in India and has set many fitness records for the police, at a national level. 4. Motilal Dayma © facebook/motilaldayma Motilal Dayma is with the Madhya Pradesh Police force as a constable today, but that wasn’t his plan. Initially, he wanted to join the army and had started preparing for the fitness rounds for the NDA. However, he decided that he would be able to serve his country better, by joining the MP police force. He is currently posted in Indore. 5. Kishor Dange © facebook/kishoredange Currently a constable with the Maharashtra Police, and based in Jalna, near Aurangabad, Kishor Dange has often been called the Arnold Schwarzenegger of the Indian Police. Dange too holds a number of national records in fitness and strength tests for the police and has won a number of titles, including Mr Maharashtra, and Mr Marathwada. 6. Rubal Dhankar © Instagram/rubaldhankar Rubal Dhankar had a brief stint with reality television before he joined the Delhi Police as a constable. He has been a fitness model for a number of years prior to his stint in reality television and continues to be a major fitness influencer on social media platforms. 7. Baldev Singh © Facebook/baldevsingh 52-year-old Baldev Singh is an SHO with the Chandigarh Police and has represented India in a number of international bodybuilding competitions, including the Asian Body Building & Physique Sports Championship and the 11th World Body Building & Physique Sports Championship. He is an antithesis to the notion that only young, under-30 cops are fit, and truly is an inspiration for a number of people. 8. Deepak Sharma © Instagram/deepaksharma_jailor Finally, we have Deepak Sharma, a jailor at the Tihar prison in Delhi. His transformation from a skinny fellow, weighing just 60 Kgs, to a chiselled mass of pure muscle, weighing 90 kgs, is truly inspiring. So inspiring, in fact, that criminals that are under his charge at Tihar, often take fitness tips from him. View the full article
  10. When the news dropped today that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was going to address the nation at 6 pm, everyone was bracing themselves for something super serious, but it's fine people, we don't have demonetization-level news today. PM Modi basically gave an update, of sorts, with no big bombs dropping and just updated the people about the pandemic situation we have going on. He talked about how India is doing pretty well in handling COVID-19 compared to countries like Brazil and the USA and assured citizens that the government is working on the vaccine. Sharing a message with my fellow Indians. https://t.co/tNsiPuEUP3 — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) October 20, 2020 But, the main reason people believe that the national address happened was so that PM Modi could also get a chance to show off his quarantine beard. © Twitter/PM Modi No shave November? Nope, this year has been 'No Shave 2020' and everyone is participating, because well, who's thinking about shaving when there is a freaking pandemic going on and everyone's lives are turned upside down? 11. We have had a plethora of people who started out with their acting careers pretty early in life, and then continued to entertain us with their films, and impress us with their style. There is Kunal Kemmu, Aftab Shivdasani, Imran Khan and Kamal Haasan, for example, all of whom started acting, before they were 10. © BCCL The thing is though, even though they did make their debuts at an early age, most child actors take some sort of a hiatus, and disappear from the public eye for some time, before resuming their filmmaking careers. © Facebook/ActorImranKhan These 6 child actors, however, never disappeared from the public eye. Sure, they may not have acted in films for ages now, but you can still see them pop up in TV commercials, OTT series, or YouTube videos, every now and then. Here are 6 child actors who grew up to be legit style icons: 1. Darsheel Safary © Instagram/dsafary Darsheel Safary had a debut that people can only dream of, in 2007. Since then, he has acted in a few movies and a few YouTube sketches, and music videos. Mostly though, he has stayed away from the big screen. He now has grown up to be a proper style icon, who has a dope sense of fashion. 2. Siddharth Nigam © Instagram/thesiddharthnigam Now 20, Siddharth started out with a TV commercial, before making his debut in Dhoom 3, as a young Aamir Khan. Since then, he has gone on to work in a number of television shows. In a few of these shows, he also played the male lead. He has a very vocal fan following on Instagram, all thanks to his sense of style. 3. Abhishek Sharma © Instagram/abhisheksharma_4 Remember Hrithik Roshan’s brother from Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai? Well, that’s Abhishek Sharma, who has grown up to be a model and a television star. Apart from that, he is also seen in a number of minor roles in cinemas. Given that he is an established model, and has often been a part of print and television ad campaigns, it is safe to say that he knows his style. 4. Athit Naik © Instagram/athitnaik Athit Naik was a part of a number of really good films, which included the likes of Kal Ho Naa Ho. He was also the lead actor in a number of movies that were centred around kids. Now, though, he prefers to be behind the camera and is learning the ropes of filmmaking. Take a look at his Instagram profile, and you’ll see, just how good his sense of style is. 5. Jibraan Khan © Instagram/jibraan.khan Another child actor who has taken up directing instead of acting, is Jibran Khan, the boy who played a son to Shah Rukh Khan & Kajol in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. As of late, he has been working as an assistant director to Ayan Mukerji, & reportedly, to Karan Johar as well. 6. Ali Haji © Instagram/iamalihaji As a child, Ali Haji was seen in films like Fanaa, Partner and family. After a brief hiatus, during which he was focussing on his studies, he resumed acting and worked in a number of sketches, and TV shows. He was last seen in Super 30 opposite Hrithik Roshan. Just take a quick scroll through his Instagram profile, and you’ll see a number of really tasteful and yet, hip-looking outfits. View the full article
  12. What makes a smartphone great? Is it the performance? Its build quality or it's the ability to take incredible pictures? Usually, you would settle for one of these features but what if I told you can get all of them in one phone that doesn't cost a lot? Don't believe me? The Pixel 4a is here to prove you wrong. We've been using the phone for a week to play some casual games, browse the Internet and click photos; a lot of photos. It was by far our favourite thing to do with the Pixel 4a and here's what we think about the recently launched smartphone. Design And Display When you look at the Pixel 4a, you won't find any flashy design or a glossy back that most smartphones have started to adopt in 2020. Instead, you will find a design that looks like it came out of the German art school 'Bauhaus'. The bezels have been slimmed down considerably, the camera sensor is on the top right corner and it's got that polycarbonate finish that hides smudge and fingerprints. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Pixel 4a is not particularly big as compared to any recent smartphone launched in the past three years and only comes in black. The phone measures around 5.7 (h) by 2.7 (w) by 0.3 inches (d) which makes it one the smallest and thinnest smartphones of the year. The smartphone can fit in almost every hand and feels kind of cute to operate. The back of the phone borrows the design from the Pixel 4 including the square camera module. However, it only houses one sensor. There's also a fingerprint sensor at the back that lands perfectly on your index finger when using the smartphone. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The smartphone also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port for charging. The left side of the phone has a distinct mint colour power button and the volume rocker. The design is quite standard here apart from the fact that it doesn't have any water and dust resistance. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Pixel 4a has a 5.81-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,340 by 1,080 pixels and 443ppi density. The display is easy to use in closed environments; however, the brightness could be better as it gets particularly hard to read the text under sunlight. We also noticed some issues with the auto-brightness feature as some of the shifts were too aggressive and not appropriate to the environment we were in. We instead chose to use the brightness slider manually. The display on the Pixel 4a is decent overall; however, we did notice a slight blue hue and colour than what we're used to with OLED displays in general. Having said that, the pixel density of the display is quite impressive and is a dream to watch video content in general. Camera The marquee feature on the Pixel 4a is its photography capabilities, thanks to Google's computational photography algorithm. While it uses the same 12.2 MP Sony IMX 363 that was used in Pixel 3; Google's computational photography makes it one of the best camera smartphones to own in 2020. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla We tested the camera in multiple lighting conditions and we have to say that phone did not falter in delivering great results. The algorithm gets the colours right most of the time. However, you will notice a bit of oversaturation after the image has been processed. In good lighting conditions, the Pixel 4a can take some incredible shots, especially when capturing portrait images. The portrait mode worked incredibly well on my hairy dogs and even objects. Many phones can't do portrait shots of objects well but the Pixel 4a delivered every single time. Sure, sometimes it can get the details wrong since it isn't perfect; but we would pick the Pixel 4a's portrait mode over the iPhone 11 Pro and Samsung Galaxy devices any day. If you want a comparison with OnePlus phones, let's say it's not even worth doing because the recently launched OnePlus 8T doesn't even come close in almost every photography mode. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Pixel 4a can even take some incredible night mode shots with its Night Sight feature. The phone excels in this department. When you are clicking a night-mode image from the Pixel 4a; you will find a lot of grain, noise and light flare which disappears after the Pixel 4a is done doing its magic. Check out some of our camera samples below to get a better idea about Pixel 4a's photography capabilities: Performance The Pixel 4a is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 730G chipset and has been coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM. In our usage, the overall performance was quite impressive, although there were a few jitters when opening apps. However, that was quite rare and even when it happened it wouldn't hinder your overall experience. The smartphone also comes with 128GB of internal storage and cannot be expanded since it doesn't come with a MicroSD slot. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The other time you will notice some delay is when you click images on the smartphone. Expectedly, it takes a tad bit longer to process the image in the gallery which we weren't bothered by since the final result was quite impressive. In terms of gaming, the Pixel 4a performs on the same level as smartphones priced at the same category. We didn't notice any problems while playing Asphalt 8. However, with games with large environments such as Genshin Impact, we did notice some frame drops when the world was populated with multiple enemies. The chipset yielded a score of 469 (single-core) and 1179 (multi-core) in our Geekbench 5 benchmark test. The Pixel 4a has a 3,140 mAh battery that can be fast-charged using the supplied PD-charger or any other power delivery adapter. The smartphone can last longer than you would expect it to. We streamed video content in full HD on Netflix and it lasted about 7.5 hours on a single charge at full brightness. That's quite impressive given the size of the phone and it's battery. However, it's not the best when compared to the other options available in a similar price range. Software © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Pixel 4a ships with Android 11 out of the box and it delivers the pure Android experience Pixel smartphones are known for. Having said that, OEMs have spoilt Indian smartphone users with features that might make the Pixel 4a seem bland. Having said that, you get all the improvements Android 11 offers on the Pixel 4a and will keep getting the latest updates by Google for the next three years. The most loveable features on the Pixel 4a are the Android 11 features such as live captioning, voice note captioning and better texting experiences via the messages app. Live Captions comes most handy when you are listening to podcasts or watching videos and even phone calls. As of now it only works for the English language but we expect Google to add other languages soon. The Final Say If you're looking for a smartphone that can take incredible photos, isn't too big and gets all of Android's latest updates; then the Pixel 4a is a great option to consider. We particularly like the photography features and its performance that even puts 2020 flagship phones to shame. The Pixel 4a comes with Google's unparalleled image processing capabilities that nobody has been able to match yet. For Rs 29,999, you simply can't pass up this great smartphone. 13. Kapoor's signature style consists of oversized hoodies and classic suits and now that Winters are on the way, we will be seeing more of his signature looks soon. Apart from his signature style, the actor also keeps experimenting with risqué silhouettes from time to time. A big part of this is his collection of iconic sneaker silhouettes, which he sports from time to time. © Viral Bhayani However, this year, amid the pandemic, as we're in the middle of Unlock 5, Arjun Kapoor too is keeping his style low-key like his contemporary actors. This essentially means he's now sticking to basic, wearable, and functional outfits that also happen to be extremely relatable for his followers. © Viral Bhayani With three films underway in production at this point, Arjun Kapoor has a busy schedule once again. He is currently working on films like Kaneda, Bhoot Police, and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. Unlike the pre-pandemic times, now stepping out is a completely different experience for everyone. Arjun Kapoor too, having fallen sick once, is taking all the necessary precautions seriously. Recently, he stepped out in a colour-block outfit that we loved. Take a look at his outfit here: © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani He was seen wearing a bright blue hoodie by Palm Angels for 495 Dollars which comes down to Rs 36,000 approximately. He paired the versatile hoodie with a pair of black jeans and neon orange sliders. He also completed the look with a mask from Adidas worth Rs 999. Evidently, Arjun Kapoor knows how to turn around a basic outfit with simple tricks like colour blocking. This regular outfit does become a lot better with the mix of colours that Arjun Kapoor has simply thrown in. © Viral Bhayani This is not the first time that Arjun has decided on a specific theme for his outfit. Last week, he stepped out in a 'nocturnal' themed outfit which was also a big hit. We hope to see more of such themes in his outfits soon. View the full article

  16. Skullcandy has been making excellent audio equipment for years now, and the company recently introduced a set of truly wireless earbuds. We've been using their Indy Fuel true wireless earbuds for quite some time now and we think this particular pair of earbuds have a lot going for them. Here's our full review of the Skullcandy Indy Fuel earbuds. Design & Build Quality Straight out of the box, the Indy Fuel earbuds won't excite you because of the way it looks. They look like, you know, every other stick-style earbuds in the market. It even comes in a very simple black box that's much bulkier than something like the AirPods Pro. © MensXP/Karthik Iyer Honestly, the whole presentation is very offputting but it at least gets other things right. For starters, we really like the fact that it uses a USB Type-C port for charging instead of micro USB. But we didn't even have to use it to charge this bad boy because it supports wireless charging as well. There are 4 LED lights to indicate the battery level and charging status of the case. You can simply flip the lid open to get a quick glimpse at the indicator. The lid's hinge feels nice and snappy, although it's worth pointing out that it wasn't giving a full seal unless we applied some pressure to close it properly. © MensXP/Karthik Iyer It's also worth pointing out that the earbuds and the charging case feel like they're made out of cheap plastic. We're not paying a premium price for these earbuds, but we think the build quality could've been better. Overall, we think Skullcandy could have put in a little bit more effort into making this feel a tad bit premium. It's not bad by any means, but we won't be recommending this to someone who's looking for something that's a bit more sophisticated. How Do These Fit? It's often hard to find a pair of earbuds, especially wireless ones, that fit. Well, we're glad that we didn't have any issues with the Indy Fuel when it comes to fit. In fact, we were able to get a snug fit with the Indy Fit. They come with interchangeable silicone tips and ear wings. We totally love the earbuds that come with these wings because they tend to fit better than the ones that don't have them. You can always remove them if you don't like them. It's all about finding the right combination of ear tips and wings. Once you have a stable fit and a great seal, then you're good to go. © MensXP/Karthik Iyer The Indy Fuel doesn't have noise cancellation unlike some other premium offerings on the market, but we found the noise isolation to be pretty good. Controls and Features The Indy Fuel earbuds come with capacitive touch controls and here's a set of controls that you get - Single tap: Volume up (right); Volume down (left) Double-tap: Play/Pause or answer/end calls Triple tap: Digital assistant Tap + tap and hold: Toggle ambient mode Double-tap + tap and hold: EQ Mode These controls work flawlessly and they're very reliable. You also get a companion app on both iOS as well as Android to check out the features of the earbuds. We'd like to mention that the Indy Fuel comes with built-in Tile tracking. It's an awesome feature to have considering the fact that these are very easy to lose. Sound Quality The Skullcandy Indy Fuel sounds great, especially for the price. Of course, these aren't the best sounding pair of earbuds out there on the market. There are other expensive options out there for that. But these are certainly great for the price. They have a good balance between the most common frequencies with nice defined bass. Treble is sharp without being shrill, although it's worth pointing out that these are more mid-heavy. There's no EQ in the app, by the way, so you're stuck with the profile you get. Overall, the sound quality is great for the price. © MensXP/Karthik Iyer Battery Life In terms of battery life, we were able to get around 4 hours of battery life and an additional 3 charges from the case. It's on par with what you'd get with most wireless earbuds on the market. We also like the charging case support wireless charging, making it very convenient. The Final Say The Skullcandy Indy Fuel is priced at Rs 6,999 in India and at that price, we think they're really good. The design and the build quality could've been better. But the audio quality is pretty good and you also get features like Tile tracking, wireless charging, and more. You can buy them from Skullcandy's official website. View the full article
  17. Often labelled as one of the most popular and successful teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), to everyone's surprise this season, have looked a mere shadow of the three-time champions we cherished in the past. From losing key players, struggling for form to unfavourable results, nothing has gone CSK's way in the tournament this year. With seven losses in 10 matches, the Chennai brigade is currently languishing at the last spot in the points table. Their recent seven-wicket loss to Rajasthan Royals (RR) has potentially ended their Playoffs hopes and the fans aren't impressed. Amid CSK's poor run, skipper MS Dhoni has drawn a lot of flak for the fortunes of the 'Yellow Brigade' this season. © Twitter/@IPL The Punjab opener had anchored the chase for his team with a brilliant knock of 77 runs which allowed them to tie the match and push it into a 'Super Over'. Facing a daunting task of defending just five runs in an over, Punjab were once again aided by Rahul whose brilliant piece of glovework, that led to the run-out of Quinton de Kock, allowed his team to tie the first 'Super Over' before eventually winning it in the second. My thala ️️ pic.twitter.com/Av7DUPyn8R — ɢαjαl (@Gajal_Dalmia) October 18, 2020 Rahul's performance with the willow had already earned him plaudits, but it was his exceptional run-out that became the highlight of the match. The right-handed batsman was lauded by cricket pundits and fans alike on social media. Amongst all the praise, one Punjab fan shared the photo of Rahul's run-out on Twitter alongside the caption: "My Thala". There is only one Thala Gajal and everyone knows who he is. — K L Rahul (@klrahul11) October 19, 2020 In response to the fan's tweet, Rahul, who can't seem to do any wrong this season, won many hearts by reminding everyone that there is only one Thala. "There is only one Thala Gajal and everyone knows who he is," Rahul replied. A thrilling win against Mumbai did give Punjab a ray of hope to turn their fortunes this season but the road ahead is extremely tough. Having lost six games in nine matches so far, the Rahul-led side have little margin for error if they intend to make the cut for the Playoffs this season. And, their next clash, which against table-topper Delhi Capitals (DC) on October 20, is not going to be easy either. View the full article
  18. As rare and difficult as they are, epic body transformations have become a lot more common in the acting business, ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe came in and revolutionised the superhero genre. Heroes were now required to not only bring their A-game while acting but also look like a comic-book based character with well-defined muscles. Here are eight actors’ bodies before and after they got to play a superhero’s role in the MCU: 1. Robert Downey Jr. - Iron Man: © Aricia's Album Struggling with drug abuse while trying to get the trust of Hollywood as an actor, RDJ was given the opportunity to play Tony Stark to begin his MCU journey. Good friend and director of the movie, Jon Favreau entrusted Downey and required him to completely get committed to the role and it goes without saying that he didn’t disappoint. © Marvel Studios What a lot of people fail to realise is exactly how much effort Downey put into getting in shape for the character, and the final product that we saw onscreen even mesmerised some of the other hunked-out colleagues of his in the films to come. 2. Chris Evans - Captain America: © Twentieth Century Fox Chris Evans belongs to a small group of people who got the opportunity to play two superheroes at the peak of his acting career, which meant that he needed to stay in great shape throughout. © Marvel Studios Back when he was the Human Torch in the first rendition of the Fantastic Four (2005) he appeared to be in shape but was very lean. He took his aesthetics to a whole new level when he got the role of Steve Rogers, aka Captain America in 2011. 3. Chris Hemsworth - Thor: © Elaine Davis - Pinterest Yet another Chris who wasn’t really ever out of shape. While he didn’t possess the muscle-mass of a Norse God before he signed a contract with Marvel Studios, he’d still boast a lean but impressive physique, a 'surfer’s body', to go along with the cliched term. © Marvel Studios However, with the picking up of Mjölnir, came the long blonde locks and a majestic body that a majority of the Marvel fans consider to be the best shape any actor from their universe has managed to achieve and maintain for so long. 4. Chris Pratt - Starlord: © Man v FAT Arguably the most different Chris of them all, Chris Pratt was nowhere near the kind of shape Marvel Studios were hoping for. At the time of his audition for the role, Chris Pratt weighed approximately 136 kg, had a swollen face and a beer belly to complement the look. © Marvel Studios But when he was seen as Peter Quill aka Starlord in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014, his unbelievable body transformation startled everybody. 5. Chadwick Boseman - Black Panther: © Adali Nelson Pintesest Chadwick Boseman’s body transformation into King T’Challa aka the Black Panther becomes so much more impressive when you realise that he’d gone through all that training and pain and struggling while battling cancer. © Marvel Studios The actor, who recently succumbed to his illness, was a rather skinny man ahead of his Marvel debut in Captain America: Civil War. Unfortunately, fans could see his health deteriorate with time and see how thin he’d gotten when he uploaded this video from his Instagram account months before his death. View this post on InstagramA post shared by (@chadwickboseman) 6. Paul Rudd - Ant-Man: © Dreamworks Pictures When the first Ant-Man movie came out in 2015, Paul Rudd was 46-years-old but the man looked as if he barely aged ever since we saw him in Friends over a decade ago. He’s been the kind of a man who’s always been in good shape. Not loaded with rock-hard abs or bulging biceps but a flat stomach who could run a mile on command. © Marvel Studios But when Rudd was signed to become the smartass thief-turned tiny superhero (or sometimes super huge), he went to work and started pumping iron. 7. Jeremy Renner - Hawkeye: © Jeremy Renner - Twitter With or without his contract with Marvel Studios, Renner was the kind of man who loved to be in shape. He once revealed on Twitter that he got fired from a job because he “looked young”. © Marvel Studios But when he was approached for the role of Hawkeye, Renner put on some muscle and his arms looked a lot bigger than they did before. Too bad that he felt his role in the first Avengers movie was not what he’d expected. In fact, he wished that the scriptwriters would kill him off in the first film itself. 8. Mark Ruffalo - Hulk: © Pinterest - Dyah Prabaningram When you are supposed to spend 90% of your time as a Marvel movie actor in a hilarious looking mocap suit with white spots painted all over your face, you don’t have a lot of incentive to go to the gym every day. © Marvel Studios Mark’s Ruffalo’s role as the Hulk was completely taken care of by the studios’ visual effects artists and his job as Bruce Banner, a nerdy scientist didn’t require him to be in great shape, as a result, the man remained just the way he is and people loved him the same. 19. We all love Jay Sean for his massive hits like Ride It and Down that defined our childhood. In fact, Ride It is a song that keeps getting new versions and is definitely going to be on your upcoming party playlist even today. Recently, Jay Sean released his new single Nakhre in collaboration with Rishi Rich. We caught up with him to know more about this song and his other hits. 1. What can you tell us about your new work? What has inspired you and what's the story that you're trying to put across? My recent body of work has been more focused on the singer/ songwriter genre. It is less production driven and more focused on the lyrical content and musical top line melody. I do have some party bangers, of course, but I recently spent a month writing songs with real meaning and depth. © Instagram/Jay Sean 2. Is Film/Cinematic soundtracks something you would be willing to explore in the future? I have done some work on movies and will continue to do so, as it is a fun and different experience. 3. The Indian music scene has been revolutionized by record labels recently. How did songs like Ride It which were massive hits affect your career and its trajectory? Yes, what’s funny about Ride It is that it has been the gift that keeps on giving. Recently, it was remixed by a DJ called Regard and became one of the biggest songs in the world. To hear my voice on a different up-tempo beat was fun and of course, the fact that it became a hit once again was truly fun. My original Ride It was also the song that got me signed to Cash Money six years ago. There is a lot to be said about the power that massive record labels have, but that said, our recent release, Nakhre was a joint venture between my own label, Kamouflage, and Rishi Rich’s label Break the Noise. And we have currently had so much success it has been number 1 across many charts globally in terms of streams and sales. 4. As rave as the reviews for your music is, there is also a fan base for your sense of fashion. Is fashion something you have a keen interest in? I like to dress well and feel good, that is my take on fashion. I am aware of trends but I will always stick to what I feel most confident in. Not everything that is in fashion will necessarily look good on me though and that's okay. © Instagram/Jay Sean 5. How tough is it to break into the industry? What advice would you give to young artists out there trying to make it in the Indian music scene? It’s hard to say whether it’s harder now or easier now. The one thing I do know is that there is way more competition now than there ever was, but it is also easier than it ever was to get your music out there. You can be unsigned and literally release music across multiple platforms independently. My advice would be to be authentic, it can really work. © Instagram/Jay Sean 6. A growing debate in the industry is centred around artist-producer relationships and whether producers get enough credit. Throughout my career, I have always split the song with the producer equally. Without his or her music, I can’t write melodies -and without my melodies and lyrics, there’s no song! Always best to be fair and do what is right for the sake of the song. I don’t like any bitter feelings or energies around my music. © Instagram/Jay Sean 7. What’s your creative process like? Is it more spontaneous and free-flowing? I am definitely a freestyler. I don’t ever overthink a song. I go on the vibe and feeling only during the creation period of the song. Melodies flow freely and I tend to do those first then I will fill in the lyrics depending on what topic the song feels like to me. After the melodies have been laid down, that’s when I do the tweaking. © Instagram/Jay Sean 8. What has your experience been with Triller? Which was your favourite entry among the videos received for the Triller #nakhrechallenge? There have been so many incredible entries - I have enjoyed lots of them! Working with Triller is such fun and an excellent way to engage with and interact with fans globally. It is a fun and creative platform. © Instagram/Jay Sean 10. How was your experience collaborating with Rishi Rich? What I love about us is that no matter how many years have passed, our vibe together and our way of working has remained exactly the same. We have such chemistry and magic in the way that we bounce off each other musically. We love the same things and disregard the same things. We both know what is the vibe and what’s not, and that’s why it works. 11. What’s the story behind the song Nakhre? Nakhre is a fun, feel-good up-tempo song that sparks nostalgia but feels current and modern at the same time. Lyrically, it is playful, musically it is truly global, encompassing elements of Reggaeton, Afrobeats, Bollywood, RnB, and Punjabi! It’s is fresh and fun. View the full article
  20. It's heartbreaking to see kids work so hard for their entrance exams only to not get the score they wanted. It's even sadder when kids start to doubt themselves when it wasn't even their fault, and it was just a technical screw up that made them fail a test they were actually scoring really well on. That's exactly what happened to Mridul Rawat, a 17-year-old from Rajasthan, who ended up virtually failing the NEET 2020 exam after he got back his result. On October 16th, he got the result that said he had gotten 329 marks out of the maximum marks of 720. © Twitter He was, understandably, distraught as he was completely sure that he had cracked the exam and was sure he was scoring 650 marks out of 720 on the basis of the recorded response sheet and answer key of NEET 2020. Talking to HT, he said, "As per my marks in the NTA results, I had virtually failed in NEET 2020 as I would not get any medical college with those marks. I cried and went in depression as I was confident that I will crack NEET with 650 marks but NEET result led to my heartbreak." © Twitter Well, turns out he was right and it was the National Testing Agency (NTA) that had messed up. After challenging the result, he went from basically failing to becoming the All India Topper of Scheduled Tribe category. What a moment, so happy for him! He went on, "My parents motivated me after which I challenged the result sheet before NTA on the basis of his recorded response sheet and answer key. My despair turned into delightful surprise today when NTA today accepted its mistake and released the corrected result sheet in which I got 650 marks and was adjudged All India Topper of NEET 2020 in Scheduled Tribe category." © Twitter He probably started second-guessing himself after the first result and just imagine if the poor kid had not gotten to the bottom of it. He would have ended not getting into the career he wanted to and it would be truly devastating. This was an avoidable mistake, of course, and it's great that Mridul ended up standing up for himself. The lesson here is always believing in yourself, even when someone else accidentally screws you over. View the full article
  21. On one hand, we have celebrities like Ranveer Singh and Aparshakti Khurana who are usually seen wearing off-beat, zany outfits and then we have John Abraham, whose outfits are quite basic and casual, making it easy even for us to cop. For him, fashion is comfort and it's his holy grail, as he is usually seen donning a basic T-shirt with joggers and he doesn't forgo of his chappals. Now that the Bollywood industry has resumed functioning albeit slowly, keeping the pandemic norms in mind, recently, John's new look caught our eye, simply because of his head-to-toe black outfit and secondly, his sneakers. © Viral Bhayani Before we get into the details of his shoes, let's talk about his ensemble first. © Viral Bhayani Most men dig the black T-shirt and joggers combination as it's a safe bet and doesn't require much work. Here, we see, John, wearing a basic number, paired with track pants by Ecko Unltd. For the uninitiated, John is the co-owner of the brand and hence, you would see him wearing versatile styles from the same brand, often. © Asics In his recent appearance, he seemed to have switched up his style choices a bit and we couldn't help but notice his shoes, which were the main highlight of his outfit- the Gel Contend 4B Running Shoes by Asics. Even though this pair is pretty basic, it offers exceptional cushioning and has a great fit with its rubber outsole. The heel is comfortable and helps with foot encounters during the running sesh. © Asics These are truly affordable as they retail at Rs 3,499 but are currently available on the official website for as low as Rs 1,749. Yes, that affordable! We are so used to seeing celebrities wearing outrageous sneakers that are sometimes worth more than the price of an iPhone. These sneakers, on the other hand, are a great choice and a good bargain as well. © Viral Bhayani To sum the look, John wore a black cap and a black mask. Since he is a trying to ace a monochromatic look here, this one is a pretty cool choice for the airport. In all, it's a stylish way to head out and even though the sneakers may not always be John's first preference, we still wouldn't mind dissecting more such pairs from his wardrobe. 22. Officially, the iPhone 12 Pro is set to launch in the US this coming Friday, however, we already have unboxing videos that show off the phones in all their glory. The video of the phones being unboxed was first posted by a Twitter account called DuanRui and it gives us a closer look at the iPhone 12. © Twitter The first thing you will notice is its new flat-edge design and the graphite colour variant of the iPhone 12 Pro. The video was later uploaded to YouTube and here are the videos below: From the videos, we can see the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro up close and how the colours look like in real life. The graphite colour, in particular, looks quite impressive, however, we can’t get over the flat-edge design inspired by the iPhone 4. It also shows the edges on both devices have somewhat of a glossy/shiny effect when put under light. Other videos have also surfaced online that show off the silicon cases and the clear case that can be purchased separately for the phones. Apple will be selling five different colour options for the silicon cases namely: Navy, Plum, Pink Citrus, Cyprus Green, and Kumquat The silicon cases show that it covers the entire body of the iPhone, however, the clear cases leaves the bottom edge of the phone exposed. Similarly, other accessories, such as the MagSafe charger were also featured in a separate video that shows it is compatible with older iPhone models as well, albeit it won’t snap on like the iPhone 12 series. © Twitter We can’t wait to get our hands on the new iPhone devices ourselves, however, the phone will launch in India on October 30th. Stay tuned for our official review of the phone when it launches in a few weeks. The iPhone 12 series is powered by Apple’s latest A14 Bionic chipset and comes with nifty new features as well. 23. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been one of the most successful cricketers to have led the Indian Cricket Team to great highs. The 2011 World Cup, the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy, the Indian cricket team’s trophy room got stacked under his leadership. He is regarded as the best wicket-keeper the team ever had and he stayed true to his duties as a middle-order batsman who soon came to be known as the ‘Finisher’ for his squad. MS Dhoni announces retirement from international cricket.#Best Indian captain #Best finisher of all time 2007 T20 World Cup☑️ 2011 50-50 World Cup☑️ 2013. Champion trophy☑️ Miss u captain cool pic.twitter.com/YAk4nbVWk1 — Peeyas Mandal (@PeeyasMandal) August 15, 2020 In the Indian Premier League, Dhoni remained loyal to Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiant when the former franchise was suspended for a couple of years. He’d won three IPL titles and two Champions League titles with the ‘Yellow Army’. ‘Decision Review System’ quickly became ‘Dhoni Review System’ because of how accurate his understanding of the situation was that often made him go against the umpires’ decision and take the review which would be in his favour nine out of 10 times. pic.twitter.com/7svpMveP1s — CSK hater (@sk_4862) October 17, 2020 The man remained cool as a cucumber under tense situations, the commentators would try to estimate what he’d be thinking when games were on the line, but Dhoni’s ‘poker face’ refused to give away information. Sneaking quick singles, supernatural running between the wickets, crafty means to dismiss opposing batsmen off the pitch and some hilarious commentary wearing the keeper’s gloves that got picked by the stump mics. That was what Dhoni’s legacy was supposed to be. It was supposed to be a big fat happy ending with the character in the lead role riding into the sunset after a mesmerising career, only to be immortalised by the tales of his heroics. Unfortunately, Dhoni, much like some other legendary Men in Blue, continued to come back for more and it is safe to say that the legacy is getting tainted day after day. When the former Indian skipper played a thundering 113-run innings off 78 balls in the warm-up match against Bangladesh ahead of the 2019 World Cup, fans thought the man had a lot left in his tank. On This Day in 2019 Dhoni smashed the century in the WorldCup partice match against Bangladesh. 113 Runs 8 Fours 7 Sixes pic.twitter.com/EL3V3HaewH — DHONIsm™ ️ (@DHONIism) May 28, 2020 However, that would be the biggest highlight of the twilight of his career and it came off a friendly match. Since then, Dhoni has been criticised for lack of intent by international players and former teammates alike. He has been called out for not being able to finish the match against New Zealand in the World Cup semi finals. He has been lambasted for creaming his “two-month sabbatical” from the team which lasted for over a year (this is before the coronavirus pandemic hit us). And now he is once against being hammered for the extremely underwhelming performance by CSK during the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League. Fleming frustrated... Dhoni not responding... Lack of intent is clearly visible. There is something wrong inside #CSK . I have already mentioned that and doing again that there is something wrong inside the #CSK . 2 seniors opted out infact Raina is doing everything expect #IPL — Utkarsh Tripathi (@cric_utkarsh_) October 11, 2020 Ever since the season opener between CSK and reigning champions Mumbai Indians, fans noticed something rather odd about Dhoni’s captaincy. He’d let less experienced players like Sam Curran bat ahead of him and he’d demote himself to the seventh or eighth spot in the batting line-up. After a couple of games, Dhoni said that the long break from the game had taken a toll on him and that the 14-day quarantine in UAE didn’t help him either, and it was the reason why he didn’t bat sooner. Gautam Gambhir lashes out at MS Dhoni for not leading #CSK from the front. #RRvCSK #IPL2020 pic.twitter.com/TgyocoN8l5 — Circle of Cricket (@circleofcricket) September 23, 2020 Former Team Indian athletes like Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag said that Dhoni was failing to lead the team “from the front” and that it looked as if he wasn’t even trying to win games for his franchise. Currently, CSK, the team that made their way all the way up to the IPL final last season, is dead last in the Points Table. They have won one out of their last five matches and with four more games left for them in the regular season, the chances of making it to the playoffs are slim to none. Those who once worshiped the Ranchi-born cricketer have now begun to contemplate whether Dhoni is jeopardizing his reputation by continuing to play cricket on such a high level. Indeed his achievements as captain and keeper batsman is unmatched. But I feel like ye DHONI ka last season hai.....he should not destroy his reputation more.... Whatever he has achieved would be a dream for current set of players from any country. Sad to say but bye #DHONI — prince rai (@BajrangiBhai8) October 19, 2020Dhoni is risking his reputation like other elite indian cricketers did at the end of career.I think cricketers should learn when to retire or quit else it will spoil whole good things done in lifetime @msdhoni @imVkohli @ImRo45 @hardikpandya7 @yuzi_chahal #MSDBigFan #ThalaMSD — ydf (@chagayafaraz) October 19, 2020There is no point in abusing Jadhav. Even after repeated failures Dhoni is backing him for what? All the reputation and legacy gained over the years has been completely lost in this season all bcoz of Dhoni. #CSKvsRR — Ritul (@ItIsRitul) October 19, 2020Sure, he got himself away from international cricket on Independence Day 2020 and even got a flowery farewell, but to continue to be the captain of such a prestigious organization doesn’t feel like a well-deserving job for him anymore. The question now is, can one year of horrible cricket ruin all the work Dhoni has done for the franchise over the last 12 years? Probably not. But it is always beneficial for an athlete to accept the fact that they aren’t as good as they used to be once and that it’s be better to retire with fans cheering them on, rather than booing. No? 24. The iPhone 12 is all set to launch all over the world but it is notable that it doesn’t come with a beloved feature that would have made sense post the COVID-19 breakout. The iPhone 12 will still use FaceID as the only way to unlock the smartphone using biometric authentication, which is a bit of a hurdle since most of the world wears a mask when stepping out. It was expected that Apple might include a fingerprint sensor or Touch ID of some sort, since it has been added to the new iPad Air as well. © Unsplash/david-svihovec Now, new leaks have surfaced online for the next iPhone i.e. the iPhone 13, where it is being reported that the phone will have some sort of Touch ID. The leak suggests that Apple is looking to either use an under the display fingerprint scanner or it might be embedded on the power button like the new iPad Air. © Unsplash/filip-baotic Leaker @L0vetodream posted something very cryptic that could only be understood by people familiar with the term. The account posted "MESA uts for iPhone” where MESA refers to Touch ID and “uts” has been abbreviated for under the screen. It doesn’t seem like a long shot, especially since Android smartphones have been using this technology for a long time on both flagship and budget devices. However, Apple has opted not to implement this tech in iPhones simply because it isn’t accurate or fast-enough to their standards. MESA uts for iPhone — 有没有搞措 (@L0vetodream) October 16, 2020 L0vetodream is known to leak accurate information, however, Jon Prosser later commented on his tweet saying the in-display fingerprint reader has a possibility of 50/50. iPhone 13 (Pro or whatever they call it) wishlist: - USB-C - 120Hz display - in-display fingerprint reader (or in power button) basically take the great things about iPad Pro / new Air and bring them to iPhone :) — Sam Sheffer (@samsheffer) October 18, 2020 There’s other information that Jon Prosser also revealed in his tweet where he expects the iPhone 13 to come with a 120Hz display as well. He also added that Apple will probably never adopt the USB Type-C port on any future iPhones as well. © Unsplash/filip-baotic It’s prudent to point out that the iPhone 13 is exactly a year away from launching and Apple is known for changing specifications and features. Due to this reason, do take these leaks with a pinch of salt as even reliable leakers can get information wrong at such an early stage. View the full article
