  2. We don't live in simpler times when there was a problem in our dating life, we'd either sweep it under the rug or address it in a rather vague and ambiguous manner. But in all fairness back then (and by back 'then' I mean way before social media was even a thing), we didn't have too many complicated relationships or problems in our dating life. Everything was rather simple, like it was either there or not there. Today, though, there are at least a thousand definitions, terminologies, synonyms and urban dictionary defined terms for all the sh** we experience in our dating life. © UTV Motion Pictures Well, sure it's easier to call out bullshit behaviour by inventing terms to suit that behaviour. For example, if someone didn't show up or stopped calling you, back in the day, it would qualify as a lack of interest or standing someone up. The matter would be debated both internally and externally and it would come to an end, where both people would move away or on from one another. But today, there's a complete term for such behaviour and it's called 'ghosting', which means the person who didn't show up had traits of a ghost, since they're definitely there but not visibly around you anymore. But as far as I know we all dwell in this misery and enjoy every minute of this complex giant wheel we're constantly on. Women love the chase and men love chasing them and while the chase is on, new and fresher words are invented to keep the momentum at par. © Fox Star Studios For instance, a new dating trend is doing the rounds and we personally are quite fascinated by it. By we, I mean the 'woke' generation that indulges in soft play and harsh realities, to make it through the day. 'Fireworking' is the latest term and it's definitely here to stay. So, fireworking is the exact opposite of stashing. Stashing is something which was propagated last year and it was a phenomenal hit because before the term 'stashing' came about no one really knew they were being stashed. Stashing is basically keeping a dirty secret. Well, not so dirty after all. It's when you stash your love affair away from family and friends so no one can know who you are dating. Fireworking though like I said is quite the opposite. It's when you date someone for the purpose of putting on a display for other people. A fireworker, as the person who's indulgent in this act is called, usually dates a person to show them off to their friends, make an ex jealous, to tell their parents that they're not awfully alone and tell the world through social media that my gf/bf is better than yours, to obviously build some kinda clout. It boils down to 'eye candy', someone good looking you wanna hang with so you get extra brownie points from family and friends. (1) You're Being Used To Show Off While that is rather flattering indeed, it's really not respectful at all. If you're a good looking bloke and she just sees you for that, maybe it's time to end the shallowness? Unless, of course, you want to bask in it. But you must know the person fireworking you just cares about other people's opinion and the fact that she feels good around you because of how you look mostly. When the temperature hits even 15 degrees, most of us start cribbing about how cold it is, how we cannot step out of our houses and decide to call it a day when we'll do absolutely nothing, but stay in the comfort of our blankets. While we have the privilege of doing that, there are some people out there braving hostile terrains and harsh weather to ensure that we're safe in our homes. Vivek Oberoi & Aishwarya Rai vs Salman Khan Salman and Aishwarya were one of the most good-looking couples in B-town and post the success of 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', fans couldn't wait for the couple to tie the knot. However, things turned sour when the actress broke up with 'bhai' following accusations of harassment. Well, recently, a bride from UP called off the wedding because the groom broke into a 'naagin dance' before the pheras. Yes, that really happened! According to a TOI report, a bride stopped the wedding right after the varmala was done. Reportedly, the groom slapped his would-be wife when she said that she doesn't want to marry him. The police were called but the families didn't file any formal complaints after the groom's family agreed to return the gifts. © BCCL As per the news report, as soon as the baraat arrived at the wedding venue, the groom's friends asked him to dance and started misbehaving a little. The bride's family tried to get his friends off the dance floor but they started getting aggressive. Subsequently situation became calm when the varmala took place but after that, the groom couldn't contain his excitement and jumped back to the dance floor to do 'naagin dance'. He reportedly fell on the floor and misbehaved in his inebriated state, and looking at the ruckus, the bride decided to call off the wedding and left the venue. Speaking on this, the bride's brother said, “The groom was inebriated and didn't care about anybody during the ceremony. All the pre-wedding ceremonies were complete and whatever happened was just not acceptable.   9. When we talk about inaugurations, we are conditioned to always expect it to be some celebrity or a public figure who conducts the ceremony. It has always been the norm in India. However, the trend is changing now and the initiative has been taken by the people of Bengaluru. According to a TOI report, a 10-year old labourer's daughter was recently asked by the South Western Railway authorities in Bengaluru to inaugurate an escalator installation project at KSR Bengaluru City Railway Station. Turns out, 10-year-old Begumma is the daughter of Chandbi, a labourer who was working at the project site for few months. The railway authorities have garnered a lot of love and praises from people across the country for this heartwarming gesture. © BCCL As per the news reports, the escalator along with a renovated AC hall was supposed to be inaugurated on November 9 by Bengaluru Central MP PC Mohan, but because of the imposition of section 144 due to Ayodhya Verdict, the formal inauguration ceremony was cancelled. However, the authorities wanted the site to be made public, so they asked the labourer's child, who was sitting at the railway station, to take the ribbon-cutting ceremony forward. © BCCL Also interestingly, the renovated AC waiting hall was inaugurated by two senior citizens waiting at the platform, reports said. This was the first time in many years that a government project was inaugurated by common people instead of a VIP. Amar Kaushik's new movie, which highlights the ordeal of a prematurely-balding young man, asserts on how our society is obsessed with one's appearance and almost neglects everything else, irrespective of how one is from the inside. Interestingly, the movie kills two birds with one stone as it's not only talking about the woes of a man who has lost his hair at the age of 25 but also targets the unhealthy obsession with fair skin, particularly for women. From attacking age-old, bizarre 'solutions' that help you make your hair grow back (like applying cow dung on your head!) to how fairness creams are being sold by luring darker-skinned people, the movie touches all aspects of our society's obsession with 'looking beautiful', without paying heed to the cost it comes at. © Maddock Films Ayushmann Khurrana, who we know by now has a knack of picking out-of-the-box scripts, shines bright once again in Bala. He is the perfect fit for a script like this, as his character is convincing and relatable. A man consumed by self-loathing and his continuous hair-loss makes him even more miserable and he desperately looks for a permanent solution to get back the perfect hair that he had in his childhood. How would you react if you were the hottest person in the school because of your hair and cut to the present, you are struggling to keep a lush mane on your head. It's pretty common knowledge that men are obsessed with their hair and premature balding is a subject which was neglected earlier but now, the movie is trying to create a healthy discussion around this matter © Maddock Films Khurrana adds a certain vulnerability to the character and makes a point to convey the message with some well-written dialogues in the movie. In the movie, Bala falls in love with a TikTok sensation Pari (Yami Gautam) who is only obsessed with looking good all the time (in a way, the movie also attacks the whole social media culture). Following a failed attempt to tell Pari the truth about his wig, the two get married and when Pari discovers the truth, her reaction is just epic. Truly, Yami has done a brilliant job and you will end up feeling mighty impressed by her work. © Maddock Films As I mentioned earlier, the movie has also dealt with how our society tends to look down upon darker-skinned women. In the movie, it's through Bhumi Pednekar's character, Latika that the director touches upon this much-talked-about, but often neglected issue in our society. Bhumi doesn't believe in outer beauty but focuses on the idea of accepting the real you. But somewhere, I feel the movie had more potential in terms of showing the predicaments faced by the dark-skinned people in our country. Well, I cannot really complain here since the movie is about premature balding and still, they have tried to incorporate this issue. The movie boldly attacks the idea of using fairness creams that promote the concept of fairness being equivalent to being beautiful. © Maddock Films All the three leads have given their messages loud and clear but it's always the supporting cast that helps the lead actors shine. In Bala, we have an ensemble cast that includes Saurabh Shukla, Abhishek Banerjee, Seema Pahwa, and Javed Jaffrey. They help in bringing the extra laughs and have given justice to their roles and somewhere, without them, the movie wouldn't have been this interesting. © Maddock Films Now, moving to technicalities, the movie's music and score blends perfectly well and glides smoothly with the narrative of the movie. It has been shot pretty well and there are no such bumpy rides in the film. To sum it up, Bala is a light-hearted comedy that hits the bullseye with the message being loud and clear, which is to accept the real you and overcome the fear of body shaming.   23. The Kerala cabinet has officially approved the “fibre optic network project” that enables free high-speed internet access to approximately 20 lakh households in the state.   25. Listen up people, here's your feel-good story of the day. A regular visitor of a cloth shop in Andhra Pradesh is a cow. Yep, a cow! In order to escape the hot weather, a stray cow started coming to Sairam Showroom, a shop in Mydukur in the Kadapa district of the state about six months ago, and well, now it has become a daily thing. © Twitter Months ago, the cow came and chose the place for itself, much to the owner and the shop's customers dismay. The first day, they tried to shoo it away out of the shop, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Unbothered, the cow came and sat for about two to three hours before getting up and leaving. And thus, a tradition(?) was born. Talking to Deccan Herald, the shop owner said, "It comes every day and sits under the fan. But if we shut off the fan, it simply walks away. It has never troubled any customer, urinated or soiled the white mattress that covers the floor. It relieves itself only after leaving the store." What a well-behaved cow, I'm truly impressed! There is a shop named saibaba cloth Store in Mydukur town in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh.
