  1. Social media is a wonderful place to be. Every day you get to discover something new about human civilization and the world around it, which may not have been possible at a time when people were devoid of smartphones and other technological advancements that we see today. For instance, there was a recent video of a camera drone flying right above the Fagradalsfjall volcano in Iceland, with the end product being the magnificent high definition footage of the volcano spewing lava everywhere in its path. I mean, would you have been to relish such a spectacular sight from the comfort of your homes? Nope. Now, while there are definitely some good things that come out of social media like the volcano incident, cute kitty and puppy videos, and a whole lot of revolutionary movements, there are some things that continue to baffle people and divide them. One such recent incident was that of a tweet posted by popular content creator and entrepreneur Ranveer Allahbadia AKA BeerBiceps. The Instagrammer in his tweet said, "If your entire opinion about someone is decided according to their political opinion, the problem is with your political opinion." If your entire opinion about someone is decided according to their political opinion, the problem is with your political opinion. — Ranveer Allahbadia (@BeerBicepsGuy) April 12, 2021 Now, while there is no information on who or which group of people the tweet was being directed to, social media users did not take time to speak their minds on it. पापा सुनो, If your entire opinion The problem is with your political about someone is opinion decided according to their political opinion https://t.co/Bgax4TnQHm pic.twitter.com/i1oNGnTtVC — Harshit (@KnowHumour) April 12, 2021Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Loved how this tweet went viral Mostly, I love helping folks achieve their maximum potential. Occasionally I love making people question themselves. For people who are still finding themselves, these questions express themselves as online hate. Peace and love — Ranveer Allahbadia (@BeerBicepsGuy) April 12, 2021For the record, I’m apolitical. 3. All of us, or well, at least the remaining 50 percent of the entire population who had escaped the "Thanos Snap", had loved and relished the moment when Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther (love you Chadwick), and co kicked the purple-colored genocidal warlord's a** in Avengers: End Game. Now, having grown up watching superheroes like Batman, Superman, Spiderman, and the rest through movies or TV shows, we have always gotten up from our seats at the sight of them demolishing supervillains back to their very layers to restore peace in the world. © Twitter However, since most superhero movies star actors from the United States, the United Kingdom, or Australia (our very own God of Thunder, Chris Hemsworth), Indians unfortunately, have not had a chance to see any of their countrymen don the glittering, spandex-made superhero costumes. Unless, of course, you are counting Krrish from the Koi Mil Gaya Franchise. Well, while we all love Hrithik for his abundance of talent, the franchise, unfortunately, does not have a lot of suitors within India, let alone, overseas. Luckily, for Indian superhero fans, we could finally be seeing one of ours jumping skyscrapers or flying alongside Thor and the rest of the Avengers in the next MCU Phase IV. Yes, according to recent reports, our very own talented actor/director/musician/screenwriter Farhan Akhtar has bagged a Marvel film, which is currently under production in Bangkok. Well, while the project is said to be top secret and his role is kept under the wraps along with everything else, we decided to make a list of superheroes the Kartik Calling Kartik actor could end up playing. Well, here it is: 1. BANSHEEWhen Walt Disney's acquired the 20th Century Fox back in 2019, the Marvel Cinematic Universe or MCU gained access to a plethora of characters and storylines from the X-Men universe, which had earlier been kept separate. © Comicbook This means the likes of Wolverine, Cyclops, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool can now join hands with the Avengers. Well, while it looks unlikely that Farhan would be lining up to replace Hugh Jackman any time soon, one character that he could end up playing might be the Banshee. A mutant, who possesses the capability of unleashing a "sonic scream" that can harm the auditory systems of enemies, the Banshee could be a perfect character for the Indian actor. It was last played by Caleb Landry Jones in 2011's X-Men: First Class, however, Farhan could spring a new life into the character by channeling the inner rockstar of his old Rock On! days. 2. QUICKSILVER © Screenrant Quicksilver or Pietro Maximoff is said to be one of the fastest mutants in the Marvel universe and we couldn't find a better candidate to play the role than India's on-screen Milkha Singh, Farhan Akhtar. Not only is Farhan familiar with competing at the highest level in sprinting, but he also has the acting talent to bring the best out of the superhuman speedster. However, with Evan Peters already showing up on the WandaVision tv series as Quicksilver, it looks like Farhan might not have the chance to have a go at it. He'd have been a good choice though. 3. THE HUMAN TORCHThe Human Torch is one of the four members of the team of Fantastic Four along with Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Girl, and The Thing. With the last Fantastic Four movie bombing at the box office, there is a big chance that there will be a new casting for it altogether. © Comicbook The Human Torch has the ability to engulf his entire body in flames, fly, absorb fire harmlessly into his own body, and control any nearby fire by sheer force of will. Well, it is safe to say that Farhan would literally light up the screen if he plays this character. 4. Marvel Boy © Comicbook Marvel Boy is one comic book character that has never been adapted to the movie screens till now, but with MCU now bringing in newer superhumans into the fold to expand the multiverse, he might just get his chance. Also known as Noh-Varr, Marvel Boy belongs to the militaristic alien race of Kree and has powers of superhuman strength, reflexes, and mind-controlling saliva. With the Kree already being introduced for the first time in Captain Marvel, we might just get to see Farhan Akhtar becoming Marvel Boy. 5. CHAKRA: THE INVINCIBLEThe best is usually saved for the last, and it happens to be no different in this particular list. © Comicbook While all the other characters had different origins, some from other parts of the world, or well, galaxies, this superhero actually happens to be the first Indian superhero created by the late Stan Lee. If things materialize, Farhan could end up playing Raju Rai, a resident of Mumbai who possesses a technological suit that weaponizes all the Chakras in his body and makes him a superhero. Well, we cannot wait to imagine Spiderman and others carrying out an "Avengers Assemble" cry near Gateway of India. View the full article
  4. “My intention is to take his (Irrfan's) legacy forward and not to become a star,” Babil Khan said on the sidelines of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa that he attended along with his mother Sutapa as the festival paid homage to Irrfan. Irrfan’s son Babil Khan is all set to make his acting debut with the Netflix film Qala. Directed by Anvitaa Dutt, the film is produced by Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma's production house, Clean Slate Filmz. It will surely be an interesting watch as we will get to see Babil working his magic for the first time. With Babil taking Irrfan Khan's legacy ahead, we feel that he would surely try to keep his father alive through his presence in the cinematic world and we also feel that the young lad is following the footsteps of his father. Here’s why we think he is Irrfan 2.0. 1. Unconventional Entry To CinemaIf you have seen Anushka Sharma’s work as a producer, you would have an idea that she doesn’t follow the cliched ways of storytelling and Qala is expected to have a unique storyline too. With Qala as his debut movie, Babil has already chosen an unconventional path. Sharing the teaser, Babil Khan wrote on Instagram “Tripti freaking Dimri is back again!!!!!! Whooooooo!!! (and a little bit of me) Also, I’m a bit skeptical about the phrase ‘getting launched’ because the audience should launch off their seats while watching our film and not any individual actor. ‘From the creators of Bulbbul, Clean Slate Filmz, and Anvita Dutt, we bring you #Qala, a Netflix Original film. Qala will be here soon to share the story of her fight for a place in her mother's heart (sic).’” View this post on Instagram When he attended the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, he was asked when the audience would get to see him on the big screen. In response, Babil said, "The thing is I have to do it the right way and I'm working on it giving my energy towards it. But, the thing is that I have to come in the right way. I don't want to do a big movie where I'm dancing and like it makes 100 cr...there is no artistic value in it." As his father changed how the audience perceives cinema, we are certain that Babil is here to do the same. 2. Here To Break StereotypesIrrfan smashed stereotypes of a typical hero as, earlier, the audience thought of the protagonist as a tall, handsome, and good looking man but Irrfan proved that it’s only the talent that matters. Well, Babil is breaking stereotypes in his own way. For instance, he'd earlier spoken about making makeup normal for men. He was trolled by many for applying makeup whenever he stepped out of his house and then, he gave it back to all those people who have such a narrow mindset. He wrote on Instagram, "Can you believe some people STILL go, 'Are you a girl?' when I apply face masks or make-up before going out? I think every person is made up of a cosmic duality and what truly makes you a man is recognizing the woman inside you. You are not a man till you realize your feminine dimension, because that exactly is toxic masculinity. I love looking after my skin, I love looking sexy, I love women and I love being a man (sic)." View this post on Instagram 3. Compassionate And Humble Towards His FansIf you have ever seen Irrfan greeting his fans, you would have noticed that the actor was his usual fun and jovial self. Babil, too, is following suit and has shown his humble nature while interacting with his fans a number of times. In one of the interactions with his fans, he was asked to unfollow the star kids and his humble response won our hearts. Babil, replying to the comment, wrote, “Bhai toh meri yeh hi ummeed rahegi ki mein apni mehnat aur performance se aapka dil itna khush kar doon ki aapko yeh lage hi na ki mere journey mein koi unfairness hui hai.” He also added, “brother, do you understand the pressure and expectations of being the son of someone who changed the acting in India cinema? I understand your frustration against nepotism, but there are two sides to every coin.” © Babil Khan Instagram © Babil Khan Instagram 4. Dresses And Talks Like IrrfanWhen Babil attended the 2021 Filmfare Awards, we couldn't help but notice the similarities between him and his father. Right from the outfit he chose to his mannerisms while accepting the posthumous honour given to his late father, it all reminded us of Irrfan. He chose to wear an outfit that his father wore in one of the fashion shows. Even his voice reminded us of Irrfan’s style of speaking. Here’s the snippet from the award ceremony: A very emotional moment from #FilmfareAwards when Irrfan Khan's son Babil come on stage for collecting award behalf of him. Babil & everyone else couldn't stop their tears. We all miss you #IrrfanKhan. Cont....@Riteishd @ayushmannk @RajkummarRao pic.twitter.com/99kIJltvNA — IMShubham (@shubham_jain999) April 9, 2021 Talking about the clothes, he shared on Instagram, “Mamma dressing me up - So in my little speech, while accepting baba’s awards from @jaideepahlawat @rajkummar_rao @ayushmannk, I basically said, “this is not my place to say anything. People always say that you cannot fit into your father’s shoes but at least I can fit into his clothes. I just want to show all my gratitude to the audience and our industry because of the warmth and love that you have hugged our family with, and all I can really say is that you and I will make this journey together and take Indian cinema to new heights, I promise.” He added, “The story behind the clothes was that my father hated participating in fashion shows and ramp walks but he did it in these same clothes in order to continuously break out of his comfort zone. That is exactly what I was doing last night, tearing through into new spaces that I’m uncomfortable with.” Here’s the post: View this post on Instagram We really hope that Babil makes a mark in the industry. 5. Male Pattern Baldness is a sad reality for a lot of people, especially Indian men. Hairloss or dealing with thinning hair, is an unfortunate reality for most of us. © PVR Pictures While a few of us have really great genes, and a good head of hair because of them, a vast majority of people aren’t that fortunate. For most Indian men, no matter how good care they take of their hair, male pattern baldness, or hair fall is all but certain. © Instagram/akshaykumar The only way to completely avoid male pattern baldness is to take extremely good care of your hair and scalp, consult expert dermatologists regularly, and most importantly have good genes. © Instagram/ayushmannk Or, you can take the easy way out, deal with the male pattern baldness as it progresses, and use some basic hairstyling hacks to cover things up. Can you use hairstyling hacks to actually cover up male pattern baldness? Sure you can! Here we list a few: 1. The Length Of Your Hair © Instagram/aparshakti_khurana You don’t want your hair to be too short, nor do you want it to be too long, as both of them make things very obvious. Ideally, you should aim for a length that allows you to comb your hair backwards, and does not make it go haywire. So keep your hair moderately on the shorter side. 2. The Hairstyle You Choose © Instagram/vickykaushal09 A pompadour or something similar, where you get to shape your hair in a way that concentrates volume, and is preferably upwards in direction is your best bet. There are a number of variations of the classic pompadour that you can consider. If you trust your barber to help you out with a style that would work for you, then great, otherwise, consult a hairstylist if you feel like it. 3. The Hair Products © iStock You need to choose your hair products very carefully. Forget products like hair gels, and wax and other heavy products. Invest in a good shampoo, and a mousse, both of which, should suit your dermatologically. The idea is to make your hair look voluminous, so go for products that add volume. 4. The Accessories You Go For © Instagram/aparshakti_khurana Accessorise as much as you can. You also have a ton of options to choose from apart from baseball caps. Pick up a bucket cap, or a fedora hat, and trust us, you will be amping up your style as well. Just make sure that whatever you go for, it is a bit breathable, and does not suffocate your scalp. 5. Or, Just Flaunt It Like A Boss © Instagram/therock For most of us, there will come a point of time when no matter what you do, you just can’t hide your bald spot anymore. If you really don't want to go for a hair transplant surgery or a scalp micro pigmentation, we suggest that you shave it off completely. Trust us, you will look far better with no hair, with half a head of hair, that is trying to cover up your entire head. The Bottom Line… Although male pattern baldness is something that we all have to deal with at some point in time or the other. There are some ways using which you can style your hair in a certain way that hides your bald spot, but in the longer run, it is better if you just shave things off, and embrace going clean-shaven. 8. Harshvardhan Kapoor is undoubtedly one of the biggest sneakerheads in the country. Proof: his Instagram feed often gives a sneak peek inside his never-ending and mind-blowing sneaker closet. To add to that, from sneaker maintenance to rare finds that are worth collecting, he knows it all. So, we caught up with him, to know more about his personal life and how his sneakers factor into his outfits on a daily basis. View this post on Instagram1. What is your personal style statement like? It is rock and roll luxury on some days and a college drop-out skater aesthetic on others. View this post on Instagram2. A style icon that you take inspiration from?/A Historical figure whose style you admire? I’m greatly inspired by Hedi Slimane and his Saint Laurent collections. He is now at Celine making clothes for them. I collect vintage Saint Laurent at times. I also love Mike Amiri and his rock and roll luxury aesthetic. To an extent, I feel my lean built really works with Saint Laurent and Amiri. 3. One wardrobe staple that you can't do without? A pair of plain Black Amiri Skinny stack denims. View this post on Instagram 4. When it comes to different beard styles, which one is your favourite? I like growing it out and then trimming it down with scissors to the desired shape. I don’t usually like using a blade on my skin and don’t enjoy going clean either but I also don’t like to over-grow my beard. However, as a PSA, I would like to say that trimming consistently with a blade can cause inflammation and breakouts, so it can be rather tricky as I don’t like to inflame my skin either. 5. A fashion trend that you can get behind? I’m really enjoying what’s happening with the sneaker culture in India right now and the pace it’s growing at. Pairing sneakers with suits is not something I’d ideally like to do but let’s get behind it for now. View this post on Instagram6. Can you talk about your grooming routine? What products count as your must-haves? I use sunscreen every day, I use a mild yet effective face wash as well. I try and avoid skin inflammation. If I break out, I try and see a dermatologist as quickly as possible as opposed to trying to deal with it myself. I also get pigmentation easily so I have to be extremely gentle with my skin. I use products from Ayca as they work for my skin. In terms of home remedies, Aloe Vera gel works really well for redness. I also use an effective Vitamin C serum, I use it on alternate nights when I feel my skin needs a pick me up. View this post on Instagram7. Your Instagram feed, from time to time, gives us a glimpse into your sneaker closet, how many pairs would you say you have currently? If I told you the number I’d have to kill you...and I want you to live. 8. What's your favourite sneaker at the moment? I just bought myself a pair of Kanye West Bapesta. They’re an iconic pair first launched in 2004, I believe that he dropped when his album The College Dropout came out. View this post on Instagram9. Has staying at home in the last year changed your sense of style? Funnily enough, I’ve bought the most amount of outerwear and sneakers during the pandemic than I’ve ever bought. The urge to dress up and go out has never been as intense. View this post on Instagram10. Some people tend to be a little protective of the sneaker they've bought from high street brands, how do you maintain your sneakers and save them from everyday wear and tear? I wear or intend to wear each and every shoe I own. There’s no shoe in my collection I wouldn’t wear. I use Crep Protect for sneaker maintenance and Crep Cure to clean them. View this post on InstagramWe also had the chance to speak to his stylist, Kamran Raz and got a few insights about his style from there as well. What's the process of styling Harshvardhan on a daily basis? The process of styling Harshvardhan is easier than most clients because we have very similar taste in style. With many of our favourite designers being Amiri, Greg Lauren, Louis Vuitton and more, it makes my job easier and quite often, we have an eye for the same pieces. Whatever matches his shoe collection, he is willing to wear. View this post on Instagram Are there times when you're able to convince him to try something experimental? From time to time I like to show him new designers and see what his thoughts are and he is very open to trying new pieces and changing up his style. View this post on InstagramWhat's your personal style like? How does it translate into your styling? My personal style is very edgy with a unique touch of minimalism. I tend to see my style changing throughout time but I tend to add a touch of edge no matter what. I think it really helps me get clients out of their comfort zone as they feel more comfortable in being themselves once I give them the confidence they need. View the full article

  10. Hardik Pandya has a really tasteful collection of watches, among all Indian cricketers. We have covered some of his most favourite and exquisite pieces before. For example, there was this exquisite Patek Philippe worth Rs 1.6 Crores. From most of his public appearances, it would seem that Hardik has a soft spot for Patek Philippe watches. Although that may be true to a certain extent, that does not mean that he only wears watches from that particular watchmaker. © Instagram/hardikpandya93 Recently, Hardik posted a few photos on Instagram where he was seen playing with his son. While Hardik was dressed in a very basic outfit that was a mix between athleisure and loungewear, Hardik junior, too was dressed rather nicely. © Instagram/hardikpandya93 We like how the duo bonded stylistically, using some sweet looking bucket caps. Hardik’s blue and pink bucket cap, in particular, looked awesome. © Instagram/hardikpandya93 His watch, however, was the statement piece for that ensemble. Hardik is seen here wearing a rather dope-looking Rolex, in particular, the 40 mm version of Cosmograph Daytona with the Black Dial. © Instagram/hardikpandya93 What sets this watch apart from the rest of the Daytonas is the fact that the hour markers are actually diamond baguettes. The watch is also made using 18K gold. © Rolex The face has three additional dials on it, and all three of them have a golden border, which gives the watch a very distinctive look and appeal. Instead of a fluted bezel, we get to see one that is, again, made of 18K gold, and has tachymetre markings on it. Like most of Hardik’s Rolexes, this Daytona too comes with Rolex’s signature oyster bracelet. © Rolex This particular version of the Cosmograph Daytona, all with the diamond hour markers and the gold bracelet, casing and bezel, has a retail price of Rs 27.87 Lakhs. However, that’s not what you actually pay for the watch. Like most Rolexes, the all gold Daytona has a very limited production run and are in a very short supply. You can’t simply walk in to a dealer, and buy one. © Hodinkee Most dealers will only sell a Daytona Cosmograph or any of the fancier of Rolex watches, to customers who already have a relationship with the dealer. That is the reason why the actual market price is around Rs 65-67 lakhs, at the minimum. For that much cash, one can easily pick up a high-end BMW. © Instagram/hardikpandya93 All in all, that’s a really dope-looking watch that Hardik’s got there. Kudos, man, seriously. Take a bow. 12. Neha Kakkar is currently one of the best Indian playback singers of the current generation and she has created her own space with songs like London Thumakda, Dilbar, and O Saki Saki. But, she had a rough start at the Indian Idol auditions, and back then, no one had the slightest idea that she would make it this big in the music industry. She participated in the second season of the music reality show but was eliminated way too early. A video of Neha’s Indian Idol audition has been doing the rounds on social media and it has created a stir. In the clip, she can be seen singing Aisa Lagta Hai from Refugee, but she couldn’t do it perfectly and failed to impress the judges. You would notice how the judges were unhappy but Anu Malik expressed his disappointment in a rather surprising way. He said that he felt like slapping himself after her performance. In fact, he actually does that as he literally slaps himself to show his disapproval of her singing skills. “Neha Kakkar... Teri awaaz sun kar lagta hai main apne mooh par maaroon thappad, yaar! Kya ho gaya hai tere ko (I feel like slapping myself after hearing you sing. What happened to you)?” he asked her. "Of course, I am a human being and I do feel bad about it, but after feeling bad I bounce back. I feel these people who are writing bad (things) about me are nothing but jealous people. They feel, why is Neha here?' Jo number one singer hai uske hi baare main likhengay log (they will write about the singer who is number one)," Neha told IANS. On the personal front, she tied the knot with singer Rohanpreet Singh in October last year. Neha and Rohanpreet met while shooting for the music video of Nehu Da Vyah and then fell in love. 13. Whether you like it or not, Punjabi music has had a distinct impact on the Indian popular music scene, and how. While we have Badshah & Honey Singh on one end of the spectrum, we have quite a few artists, who make some really dope music as well as style statements in their music videos. © Instagram/diljitdosanjh These music videos really do stand out, not only because of how skilfully they’ve been shot but also because of their styling. © Instagram/sidhu_moosewala We take a look at a few of the best styled Punjabi music videos, that legit serve some serious styling goals for men. 1. Old Skool Prem Dhillon & Sidhu Moose Wala, both of them were impeccably dressed in this song. While Prem’s outfit was distinctly high-fashion in nature, Sidhu’s outfits consisted of athleisure, simple suitings, and one dope-looking ethnic wear. Sidhu, in particular, had a different level of swag altogether. 2. Brown Munde Although for most of the song, we see AP Dhillon and his fellow singers in some form of uniform or safety jackets, the instances where they dress up are simply sublime. We see some of the best athleisure outfits in this song. Also, even when we see the singers in uniforms, they are seen wearing some really dope looking sneakers. 3. G.O.A.T Diljit Dosanjh looks like a proper baller in this music video. While we really love the tuxedo that he wore in this song, thanks to its silhouette and fit, we simply cannot ignore the athleisure outfits that Diljit wore in this song. He also accessorised the heck out of those outfits - harness, bum bags, watches, sneakers, chains - the man was just on fire. Then, there was that sweet-looking Gucci sweater that he had on. Just sublime. 4. Lehanga Irrespective of what one thinks of the song, the reality is, it is one of the most viewed Punjabi music videos on YouTube. Jass Manak really showed us how to wear colours with utmost confidence. We seriously like the variety of prints that we see Manak wearing in the song. We have some dope-looking pieces from Versace, Dolce & Gabanna, and Gucci. Plus, there were some really tasteful streetwear outfits as well. 5. Coka Sukh-e is one stylish fellow, and if you really want to see just one video where he’s at his stylistic best, then this is the music video that you should be watching. While some of his hairstyles maybe a little too OTT for you, you cannot deny his outfits were just amazing. We especially liked that kitschy denim jacket that he wore, right at the beginning of the video. It went really well with the rest of his all-white outfit. 6. No Competition Here we have yet another number by Jass Manak, again, in which he can be seen wearing some really colourful jackets and shirts. His golden suit is a little OTT, but other than that, those are some pretty hip street outifts. Divine, as always, was just a class apart, when we speak of streetwear. Special Mention - Jine Mera Dil LutiyaThis is a song that we grew up listening to. Jazzy B & Apache Indian were the OG style gods of Punjabi music. Some of their earlier music videos really set the tone for the genre for a decade or so. This music video right here is a great example of just how elaborate the styling would often be in their videos. View the full article
  14. We rely on our smartphones for almost everything today. From scanning documents to communicating with friends and even finding dates. One of the more common uses of a smartphone is using navigation apps like Google Maps to get to a place we aren’t familiar with. That’s exactly what a man in Indonesia did to reach the wrong house and almost married the wrong woman. © Instagrma According to local media, the mix up happened yesterday where the man went to the same village where the wedding was supposed to take place but entered the wrong house where another wedding was taking place. The hosts welcomed the man and his family to the house and were offered refreshments. After conversations between family members, one of the bride’s family realised the mix-up and averted an embarrassing situation. View this post on Instagram There were two ceremonies taking place in the same village i.e. a wedding and an engagement which was the cause for the confusion. The bride, Ulfa was initially unaware of the situation as she was getting ready for her special day with a make-up artist. In fact, the video from the ceremony went viral where it showed the family leaving the premises with many gifts awkwardly. © unsplash The groom and his family were supposed to reach Losari Hamlet of Pakis District in central Java and were using Google Maps to find their way. However, the family turned up at a different venue called the Jengkol Hamlet which isn’t far from the original intended venue. The groom’s family realised their mistake and apologised to the bride’s family. The groom and his family were directed to the correct wedding venue with the help of Ulfa’s family. Google Maps is widely considered the most accurate navigation app, however it has been known for mix-ups. Last year a man from a village in Tamil Nadu filed a complaint with the local police station as the app was showing places in his timeline he has never visited. The timeline feature uses points of interests rather than an accurate position to plot your activity. This caused marital problems for the man as his wife believed Google over anything else. What do you think about this mix-up caused by Google Maps? We could only imagine what would happen if the man actually had married the wrong woman because of Google Maps. View the full article
  15. There are certain rules set in every arena. The same is the case in the fashion world. There are some rules, which if followed in the right manner, can make you look sartorially well-versed at all hours. So here are some 7 of them that you should never ever bend but follow. 1. When Wearing Polo T-shirts © iStock Polo T-shirts no doubt make one look fashionable but there's a way to wear them. Ensure the sleeve is not loose and doesn't look too long. It should end between three-quarters of your bicep and the middle. 2. The Width Of A Bow-Tie © iStock There's a rule to follow when it comes to bow-ties as well. The size of the bow-tie matters. When wearing a bow-tie, check the width as it should match with the outer corners of your eyes. If the bow-tie is smaller, it will make your face look enlarged, whereas if it's big, it will make your face look smaller. 3. Dress Shirt Collar Rule © Quora The collar of the dress shirt can make or break your look. An ideal collar touches the skin till the entire neck but doesn't press hard. If you are able to slide in two fingers in between the collar and your neck, then that's a well-fitted collar. The same goes for the shirt cuff. It should give you at least 1 to 1.5 inches of ease and you should be able to slip in two fingers through the cuff. 4. Clothes For Short & Tall Men © Instagram/The Modest Man If you thought wearing baggy or ill-fitted clothes will define your frame, you are highly mistaken. If you are short in height, opt for high-rise pants along with a matching belt as it creates an illusion of height. Whereas, men who are tall can go for low-rise with contrasting belts. 5. The Fit Of The Trousers © iStock The pleats on the trousers are also an important element. One rule to follow, especially if you have wider legs or thighs, is that you should opt for double pleated pants over single pleated ones. This ensures that the attention goes on the silhouette. 6. Your Socks Matter © iStock You can play it safe, by matching the colour of your socks with the rest of your outfit, so it blends well. You can also experiment with prints and patterns, only if the formal setting calls for it. Just make sure you wear them long enough, and not display any skin while sitting. 7. Check Your Underwear © iStock When it comes to underwear, the only two rules men should follow is that prints are not for you, if you are a grown-up and heavily branded underwears do not look good. Simple. The best style that has stood the test of time, are basic cotton boxer shorts. They are ideal ones to spend money on and are quite comfortable on the skin. View the full article
  16. The show Scam 1992 became an unexpected blockbuster hit and the show starred fairly new actors mostly. Pratik Gandhi played the role of Harshad Mehta in the series and became people’s favourite overnight. The story of the show was loved by the audience but it was once again retold. The Big Bull, a film starring Abhishek Bachchan that tells the same story was released recently. The film also stars Samir Soni, Saurabh Shukla, and many more. View this post on InstagramIn an interview recently, Pratik Gandhi was asked what he thinks about Abhishek Bachchan’s portrayal of Harshad Mehta in the film and show’s comparison with his film. He had the sassiest reply. He said, “There can’t be competition between actors. Had it been products, there would have been competition. If I was a biscuit or a soap, there would be competition.” He told IANS, “I am a human being. How can two people, looking so different and having distinct types of acting, be compared? I don’t take the pressure that your next thing has to be bigger than the previous one." Not only this, the Gujarati actor’s name is also included in Limca Book of Records for a monologue that he performed in three languages. View this post on Instagram According to Pratik Gandhi, the success of his series Scam 1992 is due to his steady rise as an actor. The success of the show also opened up how the show has opened up more opportunities. He said, “I would convert this as excitement where people are giving me different opportunities now. They are open to working with me on different subjects — which is very exciting for me as an actor, and I am just looking forward to playing another character. So yeah, I don’t think that much. My theatre background is helping me here". What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below! View the full article

  18. China is the first country in the world to issue blockchain-powered digital currency to its citizens where 750,000 recipients will be getting access via a lottery system. The digital currency is the digital version of China’s Yuan and citizens will be able to use the digital Yuan in stores and online using a dedicated app according to The Wall Street Journal. © Reuters Digital payments are already quite common in China’s local economy where customers could pay for almost everything using apps like WeChat. However, now Chinese citizens will be able to pay using digital Yuans in stores like Starbucks and McDonald’s who are reportedly among some of the stores that are already accepting the digital Yuan. Having said that, while the digital Yuan is powered by Blockchain, it has stark differences with cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin. Unlike cryptocurrencies, the digital Yuan can be traced to its users and will not offer anonymity. Users will be able to download and store their funds in digital wallets and use QR codes for payments. The digital Yuan will also work on existing app-based payment systems that are being used by companies like WeChat and AliPay. While China is the first country to deploy a digital currency, many other nations and their central banks are also developing their own form of digital currency. Countries like the US, Sweden and The Bahamas are all developing digital currencies for their citizens to use. China’s digital Yuan will be far easier to use than traditional cryptocurrencies and work similarly to digital payments services that already exist. © Reuters China launched the digital Yuan to eliminate the movement of cash in the country which has already seen a massive decline. While physical monies invested in banks for the long term will not be affected, banks will still have to deposit specific amounts with the Public Bank of China to avail the digital Yuan. The digital Yuan has already seen trials in cities like Shenzhen and seven other major cities in China. The currency was tested with food delivery and ride-sharing apps. Chinese citizens can now also apply for the digital currency through their banks. Source: The Wall Street Journal View the full article

Coming off his worst season in the history of the Indian Premier League, Maxwell had expressed his desire to play for RCB just days ahead of the mini-auction which took place before the 14th edition of the tournament.
