New Trailer Of 'Gunjan Saxena' Has Got People Excited To Watch The Story Of The ‘Kargil Girl’

Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl trailer dropped today and since then social media is flooded with comments and reactions from the audience. In Bollywood, we have celebrated men time and again, telling their stories but now the times have changed. Bollywood has started celebrating women and is focusing on stories that let them speak their point of view.

Janhvi Kapoor is ready to tell us the untold story of Gunjan Saxena. Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film stars Janhvi in the titular role and also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Vineet Kumar, Manav Vij, and Ayesha Raza. The movie was scheduled for a theatrical release but owing to the current conditions, the makers have opted for the digital release.

Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan also promoted film’s trailer by calling Gunjan Saxena’s story an inspiration for many.

Shah Rukh Khan Tweeted saying, "A story of a hero like no other - Gunjan Saxena - India’s first woman Air Force Officer to go to war. Wishing love and luck to the team for this inspiring film. #GunjanSaxena".

The film is based on the life of Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena who made history by becoming the first Indian woman in combat during the Kargil War. The film will release on July 12th on Netflix.

Many people are already excited for the film to release and the other half are talking about boycotting the film as it is starring a star kid. However looking at the trailer, looks like the star cast has done a wonderful job and this looks like a promising tale of courage.
