The TV industry is filled with enormous talented stars who have also become a household name. But turns out, when these actors try and foray into Bollywood, which is assumed to be the next big step, they fail to carve a niche for themselves. Let's take a look at all the successful TV stars, who made an attempt to venture into Bollywood industry but unfortunately, couldn't survive.

Karan Singh Grover's debut was in Kitnii Mast Hai Zindagi by Balaji Telefilms and that made him a star but when he forayed into Bollywood, he failed to make a mark, case in point, his movies like Hate Story 3, Alone etc. where he couldn't give his best performance.

2. Maniesh Paul

Maniesh Paul is an established host of the TV industry and he certainly knows how to uplift the mood of any reality show, with the way he comperes. But when he did movies like Micky Virus and Tere Bin Laden, he couldn't do justice to his impeccable wit on the big-screen and certainly failed to establish himself in Indian Cinema.

After earning the title of Roadies, Rannvijay became a VJ on MTV and also hosted the other seasons of Roadies. But that's not it for this star. When he came to Bollywood and did Toss: A Flip With Destiny, the movie tanked miserably at the box office. He didn't stop and continued playing supporting roles in movies, but turns out, nothing worked out for him. Currently, he is focussing on TV shows and is seen as a judge on Roadies, while hosting other reality shows.

4. Barun Sobti

The actor who stunned us with his fantastic performance in the serial Kayamath also tried his hands in Bollywood in Hate Story 2 and Ek Paheli Leela. Unfortunately, these movies failed to strike a chord with the audience. But, Jay still continues to host multiple reality shows like Dance India Dance and many others and we are truly glad he entertains us on TV.

6. Prachi Desai

An actress who aced the role of Bani on TV, Prachi Desai's Kasamh Se became an instant favourite daily soap for us. While she was successfully able to establish her name in the TV industry, she couldn't warrant her role as a Bollywood star, in various movies like I, Me Aur Main, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, etc.

7. Kapil Sharma

It goes without saying that Kapil Sharma is called the comedy king of India. But when the same star stepped into Bollywood and made his debut with Kis Kis KO Pyaar Karoon, it didn't catch anyone's attention. Even his production company's second movie Firangi didn't fare well at the box-office.

8. Rajeev Khandelwal
