Yes, cricket is an ever-evolving game. Many great players have come and gone by, but it is only the game that continues to flourish.
While the cricketers themselves understand this circle of an athlete's life, it is their fans who take years and years of time to get over the fact that their favourite player might never be seen playing on the field for their national team ever again.
Now, when “that player” is one of the most successful captains of the Indian cricket squad, who not only gifted the world his unique batting style but also helped his country win its second World Cup title, it just gets that much more difficult to get over his inevitable retirement in the near future.
Thankfully, here we have a video of Mahendra Singh Dhoni singing an Indian classic song 'Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaye' that could do the trick and make his fans calm their nerves just for a bit, maybe.View this post on Instagram

One of Dhoni's closest friends decided to share a wonderful moment with the world in which the cricketer can be seen getting involved in a karaoke duet and the entire room listening quietly to his voice. As soon as Dhoni handed over the microphone to his friend, everyone burst out laughing.
Ever since losing the ICC World Cup semi final to Kane Williamson and team New Zealand six months ago, the Indian wicket-keeper batsman has been out of action voluntarily.
MS Dhoni will miss India's tour of the West Indies after announcing that he's taking a two-month sabbatical to serve his paramilitary regiment. https://t.co/U8pc1jNQkB— Twitter Moments India (@MomentsIndia) July 20, 2019
He first decided to take a two-month sabbatical from the sport and train with the Indian Army but once that tenure was over, Dhoni decided to extend his vacation until November. However last month, Dhoni let the world know that he will only announce his future plans in January 2020.
Even though Dhoni fans are waiting desperately for the man to give them the good news and announce that he will not be moving away from the game anytime soon, there is a possibility that Team India has moved away from him.December 1, 2019
"There is clarity, but certain things cannot be said on public platform. There is absolute clarity on MS Dhoni and you'll find out in time," BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had said last week in terms of the former skipper's future as a Man in Blue. Considering the fact that the selectors are giving various wicket-keepers the opportunity to show their skills, truly signifies that Dhoni days with the team might be numbered.
Honestly, I hope that I am wrong and Dhoni, whenever he decides to retire, should be remembered for the incredible laurels he has earned for this country and not for the recent couple of chaotic months of his career.
Until then, all you can do is keep listening to Mahi singing on repeat, I guess.
