Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston as Loki is the perfect casting. Marvel really killed it when they cast those two 'unknown' actors to start off the Thor series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the race to join what would become the biggest movie franchise was a tough one, of course, and so many actors auditioned and the lost out on the role.
There was a lot of competition for the role of Thor, not just in the Hemsworth family, but apparently in Hollywood as well. It's well known that Tom Hiddleston, who we know and love as Loki, originally auditioned for Thor.
Honestly, maybe he would've made a great God of Thunder in an alternate universe, but after seeing him as Loki, I really can't imagine him with long golden hair, wielding Mjolnir.
Talking about his upcoming solo show called Loki (how creative) and how he ended up being such a huge part of the MCU, he couldn't help but laugh at his own unseen audition tape for the role of Thor.
Recently, he appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy blessed all the Marvel fans with an old tape of Tom in a very bad blonde wig. Apparently, he pulled some strings and got an audition tape that hasn't been released before ever.
Wow, just wow.
Tom's reaction after watching this was basically just, "I think we can all agree that they cast the right actor."
We love you Tom, but yes, we can all agree.
Here's the entire video, I would really recommend watching it just to see Tom proving what a great actor he is by literally crying on demand.
The biggest takeaway from the video.
If Tom Hiddleston cries, I cry with him. pic.twitter.com/aqKeRru8ip— Lalwendë of Midgard âà¥ªÛ (@MyLalwende) November 26, 2019
