Karan Johar Pens Emotional Message For Birthday Boy SRK, Calls Him 'Older Brother For Life'

Shah Rukh Khan is not just an actor for some fans, as his name is practically held by people as a talisman of sorts, to get through life's hardships, that's how much he is revered. Today, SRK has turned a year older and like every year, fans and friends have been flooding social media with their wishes for the actor.

However, among the deluge of messages, it's Karan Johar's birthday wish that completely stands out and boasts of the love and respect he has for SRK. 

KJo took to Instagram to share a series of old pictures of them clicked on the sets of the movies they have worked together in. Expressing his gratitude towards SRK, Karan wrote a heartfelt message for the birthday boy.

The message reads as, “Happy birthday Bhai @iamsrk... Am not sure words are the best way to describe certain relationships...specially those that have such powerful silences...you have always been such a tremendous influence in my life.”

He also thanked SRK for sticking by him in all the dark phases of his life. “Like the best preacher teacher I have had the honour of calling my family...my journey with you will always be the best phase of my career and life and there is still so much more to come...thank you for being you...thank you for always being there for mom and me and now our little ones...thank you for being my fathers best friend and my older brother for life!!! I love you more than you will ever know,” added Karan.

Karan Johar's directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) starred Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role and ever since then, the two have worked in many projects like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, and My Name Is Khan.

At India Today Conclave Mumbai 2019 held recently, Karan Johar hailed Khan and said, "He is a terrific actor, he is a megastar. Maybe he has had a few films that under-performed but you cannot forget the fact that he represents super-stardom. He has the majestic aura and every time you say the word super-stardom - you think Shah Rukh Khan and that is never going to be grabbed away from him. He has taken a year off only to analyse and when he is going to come back with a film, it is going to be talking point in the industry. So, you can't erase somebody's lineage, somebody's talent by a few setbacks."

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will soon his upcoming project with Tamil film director Atlee.
