There are cricketers who have entertained, as well as inspired thousands across the world with their panache while playing the game, and the manner in which they command immense respect from their opponents. Then, there are cricketers who have inspired millions, with their sense of style, particularly their hairstyles.

We bet you, or someone you know, has sported at least one of these hairstyles or wished that you could.

We bring you 5 cricketers, who have made us seriously consider taking a trip to the local salon for a hair makeover:

1. MS Dhoni

There's no way that we begin this list with anyone else other than MS Dhoni. Over the years, he has had a number of hairstyles, each of which, has been a masterstroke in itself. Starting from a traditional mohawk …

...or donning a more conservative, subtle side parting, Mahi surely knows how to carry his hair with the same coolness that he displays on the field. Way to go, Mahi!

2. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli's sense of presenting himself has really evolved over the years. And so has his hairstyle. As a cricketer, he has a rather aggressive style. Surprisingly though, his choices when experimenting with his hair have rather been a little subtle and refined. Nonetheless, his hairstyles have inspired many people over the years to pay a visit to their barbers and experiments. Some of the most iconic ones are...

3. Kevin Pietersen

Over his long and illustrious career, Pieterson has donned a number of hairstyles. Sure, some of them were a miss, but most of the time, he was rather on point and was one of the most fashionable players of the game. The best thing about his hairstyles is the sheer variety of it. From something subtle such as his take on a crew cut….

4. Wayne Parnell

The 29-year-old South African has tried a number of hairstyles over the years. Now, although they have not been over the top, they surely have not been subtle. Be it the very retro, flat-top crew cut, which if you ask us, reminds us of the Wolverine….

5. Dale Steyn

The South African seamer has been known to follow the fashion and style brigade very closely and perhaps is one of the few sportsmen around the world who stays updated on the latest trends. Apparently, he is a huge fan of the way David Beckham (https://www.mensxp.com/grooming/hairstyle/46861-a-list-of-david-beckham-s-most-iconic-hairstyles.html) styles himself. That is quite evident in the way he often changes his hairstyle.

Steyn however, doesn't simply copy the latest trends. He sees what would work for him and tweaks them to suit his structure and charisma. Case in point would be his interpretation of the high fade mohawk…

… or this classic, spiked mohawk.
