Manchester City, a club whose limits can never be judged. Four days ago, they proved their bench strength when they defeated Rotherham with a splendid margin of 7-0 in the FA Cup third round.

And just when people thought that was it, they decided to take their game a notch up in the semi-final (first leg) of the Football League Cup, where they showcased their blistering attack in a win against Burton by 9-0, which has almost cemented their position in the final of the tournament.

This was a game where Pep Guardiola didn't play his actual squad and still managed a win like this, so now we can only imagine what could have happened if Aguero would have played.

Coming back to the game, the scoring was kickstarted by Kevin De Bruyne in the 5th minute of the game, followed by Gabriel Jesus, who later scored four goals in the game.

Other than them, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Phil Foden, Kyle Walker and Riyad Mahrez also contributed in the Cityzens humongous win.

No doubt all the goals that were scored were equally important, but let's look the top 5 goals from the game:

1. Zinchenko

The best goal of the game came as a mistake by the defender, O. Zinchenko, where while intending a cross to Jesus, he looped the ball over Burton's keeper, Collins, and got his name on the scoresheet. The best mistake one could wish for. And later, the basketball dunk celebration was in itself a unique one.

2. De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne, known for his bullet shots outside the box, took everyone by surprise when he opened the scoring with a header from an assist provided by David Silva in the 5th minute of the game. De Bruyne simply got between two Burton defenders and heads David Silva's deep delivery out of Collins' reach into the bottom corner from a distance of eight yards.

3. Gabriel Jesus (57')

Right back after the half time, City came up with another wonderful attack which they later converted into a goal. The real play began when Mahrez played a one-two with David Silva and dinked the ball into the air for Jesus to direct the header into the bottom corner. The Brazilian couldn't find a better way to complete his hat-trick.

4. Gabriel Jesus- (65')

Being the star of the night, Jesus had already proven his worth and with his fourth goal, he might just have cemented his place in the permanent playing XI. Talking of the goal, an accurate lob ball by Mahrez in the middle straight towards Sane on the left wing, who after brilliantly controlling it in the box, cut back and picked out Jesus who again tapped it in for the goal.

5. Kyle Walker

Sometimes, a simple tap in goal can also look so gracious, just like this one. Just when everything seemed quiet for a while, Mahrez drove himself forward and squared the ball to right-back Walker, who steered it past Collins for his first goal of the match.

City made it look so easy, maybe because it was actually easy as by that time, Burton's defence had just given up.
