In its ruling, the HC stated that the Triple Talaq was not just unconstitutional, but also unfair and unjust to Muslim women’s rights. The order that was passed by Justice Suneet Kumar was a result of a petition that had been filed by a woman whose husband had arbitrarily divorced her, according to TNN. He went on to say, “Personal Law cannot be above the Constitutional law.”
