Kangana Ranaut is known for voicing her opinions on Twitter without the fear of being judged and at times, her tweets backfire completely. Last night, she tweeted she has been getting secret calls and messages from many big stars praising her work in Thalaivi. She revealed that Akshay Kumar is one of them who called her.

Replying to a tweet praising her work, she wrote, “Bollywood is so hostile that even to praise me can get people in trouble, I have got many secret calls and messages even from big stars like @akshaykumar they praised @Thalaivithefilm trailer to the sky but unlike Alia and Deepika films, they can’t openly praise it. Movie mafia terror." Scriptwriter Aniruddha Guha had written: "Kangana Ranaut is an exceptional, once-in-a-generation actor."

She added, “Wish an industry of art can be objective when it comes to art, and not indulge in power play and politics when it comes to cinema, my political views and spirituality should not make me a target of bullying, harassment, and isolation but if they do, then obviously I will win.”

After her tweets started getting traction, people bashed her for lying and even called the whole act of revealing the names unfair.

Kangana Ranaut is Sick.....

But this is really unfair....If he called you in private you should not be disclosing his name like this....This way one looses trust...There has to be some decorum..You could have made ur point w/out naming...

Dear Kangana, Not everybody should be on the same way of thinking. Is it ethical to reveal what is meant to be private? Plz be honest, why do u need support & acceptance from them when u continuously insult them left right & center? Isn't it double standards? Leave abt that past.

Thalaivi tells the story of the former Tamil Nadu chief minister through various stages of her life. Right from her struggles in the film world to reaching stardom and then entering politics, Thalaivi traces the entire journey.

The movie also stars Arvind Swamy as MGR, and the rest of the cast includes Nassar, Bhagyashree, Samuthrakani, and Madhu Bala. The film has been written by Baahubali writer KV Vijayendra Prasad and Madhan Karky.

Kangana gained almost 20 kilos for her role in the film. In an earlier tweet, she'd written, "I played the first super human girl on Indian screen, thanks to my body a rare combination of dainty yet strong-looking, in my 30's I had to gain 20 kgs for 'Thalaivi' and do Bharatnatyam, it left my back severely damaged but no bigger gratification than to play a role to perfection."

Excited about the film? Let us know in the comments section below.
