Following a remarkable draw at the Sydney Cricket Ground against Australia, the Indian cricket team was probably looking to relax and take some time off when they reached Brisbane where the fourth and final Test is scheduled to be held from 15th January. But, an absolute nightmare awaited them at the team hotel.

"There was no room service or housekeeping facilities. The gym is very basic and not of international standards, and the swimming pool can't be accessed. This wasn't what they were promised when they checked in," a senior BCCI source told PTI on conditions of anonymity.

Following angry complaints from the Indian cricketers, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, secretary Jay Shah and CEO Hemang Amin have all reportedly got in touch with Cricket Australia which promised to improve the hotel conditions for the tourists.
