Arnab Goswami has always been in the news for his way of reporting certain issues. Arnab had been attacking the Maharashtra Government which resulted in troubles for him. From his ways of investigating Sushant Singh Rajput’s mysterious death to passing defamatory statements against Congress president Sonia Gandhi during its Palghar lynching to trying to create communal hatred over a gathering of migrant workers at Bandra railway station in April, Bombay High Court on June 30 had stayed two FIRs against the Editor-In-Chief.

The Supreme Court on Monday, 26 October, asked the Maharashtra government to submit a list of FIRs filed against Republic editor Arnab Goswami. Appearing for Goswami, Senior Advocate Harish Salve informed the Supreme Court that all the FIRs against him aren’t genuine and they are only attacking his client.

In response, Chief Justice of India SA Bobde said:

“The point is this that we would like you to put on affidavit and give a picture of course of things to come.”

“While nobody is above the law, some people are targeted with higher intensity. There is a culture these days, that some people need a higher degree of protection,” the CJI observed.

Republic Network released a statement that said it will reveal “the coercive and illegal methods of the Mumbai Police, the incessant harassment of our journalists and the seemingly tainted routes being used to try and fix and frame Republic.”

“We pledge that nothing will remain secret anymore. Republic shall put every detail before the Honourable Supreme Court. We believe that the truth can’t be concealed for long, and with the matter now slated to come before the Honourable Supreme Court we have no doubt that justice will prevail in its truest form,”

it added.

Soon after Arnab spoke about it in the tweets on the Republic account and his debate last night, people started to trend #NationWithFearlessArnab and supported him. They called him India’s superhero. Even Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans came in support of Arnab as they think he is the only one who's fighting for their star.

After seeing the massive support from the people of India for him, Arnab tweeted, “I feel absolutely blessed to receive the love and faith of so many people this morning. We are together in this battle, and many more. The state machinery unleashed on us is making us all stronger, every day.”

Arnab: I feel absolutely blessed to receive the love and faith of so many people this morning. We are together in this battle, and many more. The state machinery unleashed on us is making us all stronger, every day.
