The Playstation 5 uses a customised RDNA 2 GPU by AMD featuring 36 CUs capped at 2.23GHz. The console will also support ray-tracing, near-instant loading times and 3D audio capabilities. The PS5 will have 16GB GDDR6/256-bit RAM and we're looking at a memory bandwidth of 448GB/s. Sony is also using a custom SSD for its console. The company is claiming lightning-fast speeds, thanks to the PCIe 4.0 connection. Apparently, the console will be able to transfer a 2GB file in just 0.27 seconds. Sony also revealed the User Interface of the console earlier this week which you can check out in the video below:
We will keep you updated about the release date of the console as soon as we hear from Sony India. There is a good chance that the console will be available from November 19th onwards however that remains to be speculation right now.
