Please think about OSRS Gold either delaying these changes until they could be reached in a way that will benefit PvM, or at least saying what you've said here more explicitly in a way that more of this neighborhood will see that there will not be a good deal of disappointment and outrage and crab emojis when it gets published and falls short of peoples' expectations and hopes. But I really do think you may be creating a community relations mistake here and strongly urge you to consider the way you're executing and advertisements this change and whether it might backfire if you stick with the current strategy.
Please for the love of god think them when they say that they don't know if these attributes are even possible. They will need to spend some time investigating and designing and preparing and trying to evoke and test issues about these highly experimental characteristics and at the worst (but very quite possible) case it will lead to the answer that no it's not possible (or not feasible more inclined as they'd need to do something such as rewrite the runescape game from the ground up and suspend all new features for years). When people get hyped about this and Jagex sees that as a permit to do this highly experimental work runescape gamers need to appreciate this may mean less funds put on more reliable updates (something runescape players are already complaining about) plus a threat it simply will not work.
Personally I'm all in for that trade-off but I could just see reddit whining in 6 weeks or next RuneFest or whatever and faster-ticks getting the newest bank-rework meme.As somebody who quit playing RS but nevertheless plays OSRS in addition to other popular MMOs I can't stress enough how significant the faster tick rate is for your game. The responsiveness of the sport as well as the UI are the greatest reasons why I refuse to play it with action bar style combat. There is no other"better" update. Responsive gameplay makes great games people are willing to spend cash on.
Given that the tick shift is a massive project at the scope of the full game, has got the idea appear to change it for parts of the runescape game in isolation which would profit from it the most, for example combat? I'm sure that's also quite an effort to implement, but it would enable slow rollout and a simpler time testing server stress. Every part of the runescape game broken by changing the tick could be viewed at one at a time instead of all at once, with diminishing returns old school rs gold on which actions gain in the responsiveness. Obviously it is still a huge job even then awarded that encouraging just combat to start would also likely require supporting movement and any other heavily-tied systems if a good alternative for making this incremental is found.
