TN Couple Gets A Bouquet Of Onions As Wedding Gift & That's The Kind Of Friends We Want In Life

With the wedding season comes some of the greatest responsibilities, like keeping your stomach empty enough to stuff that extra golgappa or gulab jamun, or singing the lyrics of 'Ishq Tera Tadpave' while dancing just so you can shout Oh Ho Ho Ho when the DJ stops, or picking a perfect wedding gift that won't be forwarded like the box of Soan Papdi we get on Diwali.  While we can't help you with the first two, we just found the perfect wedding gift that you can give someone and be remembered as a legend for generations to come. And the credit goes to the friends of this Tamil Nadu couple who turned people's misery into a great opportunity.  Onions have become so expensive that people are crying just looking at them, forget chopping them. So what better gift can there be than onions to show someone how much you love them. Reuters And that's exactly what the friends of a couple, getting married at Manjakuppam in Cuddalore, did. They gifted the bride and groom a bouquet made from 2.5 kg of onions.  According to reports, one of the friends said, "onion is sold at Rs. 195 a kg eating into the budget of the commoners. So we bought 2.5 kg at Rs.500 from a store in Cuddalore and presented it to the couple". That's expensive. Amid rising prices, Tamil Nadu couple gets bouquet of #Onion at #wedding.@ikpsgill1 @delhichatter@hvgoenka @Jainpankajkasan#OnionPrices pic.twitter.com/19Ilzk27He — The Sunil Kapoor™ (@sunilkapoor8) December 9, 2019 As expected, this unique bouquet caught the attention of people at the wedding and on social media, who couldn't stop laughing as the couple and their friends posed with the onions.   Woah! These friends must be super rich or really love the couple to go this far.

Environment Minister Javadekar Saying 'Pollution Doesn't Shorten Life' Makes Even WHO Facepalm

Prakash Javadekar is currently serving as the Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change; so we assume that whatever he says about the environment and climate change will be fact-based, research-based and in short, make sense. Well, turns out, it's not necessarily true. On one hand where Delhi is choking on the polluted air, Prakash Javadekar on the other hand apparently claims that there is no connection between air pollution and a shorter life span. He made this remark in the Parliament where he said that no Indian study has shown that pollution shortens life and criticised the Opposition for allegedly creating a "fear psychosis among people". © Reuters Wait! Does that mean we can take deep breaths outdoors or throw those pollution masks away? Not at all. Before you even think something like that, check out WHO's reaction towards his statement. The World Health Organisation said that the world body wished that air pollution "did not kill people but it unfortunately does". In fact, according to Dr. Maria Neira, WHO Director (Public Health), "Independent of which methodology is used or what are the estimates, it is urgent to take action because the levels of air pollution in certain cities in India are very high and this is definitely having an impact on the health of citizens." © BCCL Neira further said, "We urge the Indian government, which has enormous amounts of expertise and competencies, to do its best in tackling the sources of air pollution and reducing toxic pollutants that citizens are exposed to at the moment." Looks like we still have a long way to go before we can throw those masks in some corner of our room. Desi people, as expected could not believe Javadekar's words and took to social media to express their concern and join WHO to virtually facepalm at his statement. What kind of minister is this ? @PrakashJavdekar - you need to read about what medical fraternity has to say on pollution ! @IndiaRebellion / @CPCB_OFFICIAL / @PMOIndia / @narendramodi - we need to act on this crisis with sense of emergency & panic !! https://t.co/SchY3LGwud — Anupama Pande (@AnupamaPande2) December 8, 2019 Wow ð® so we should just embrace pollution now and call it part of “economic growth” ? @PrakashJavdekar - sad to see such mindset !! @CPCB_OFFICIAL - so no action needed now ! Your body can officially cease to exist https://t.co/omaTjw4uEQ — Anupama Pande (@AnupamaPande2) December 7, 2019 Pollution doesn't kill you @PrakashJavdekar .
How the hell , all idiot ministers are in one single party, BJP. — Chetan Tayshete (@chetan_tayshete) December 7, 2019 This is our Minister for the Environment. We are so dead. #AirPollution https://t.co/vKV7tGaLLO via @economictimes — Neha Mathur (@Menenners) December 7, 2019 Dear @PrakashJavdekar i want to ask you one thing as u said there is no Indian study has been found that relates pollution to health so on basis of which studies you installed air purifier in pmo and rastrapti bhavan worth of approx 3 million rupees... — Anchal (@anchal2433) December 8, 2019 Sir,
pls think before you speak,
Pollution is going to above all criteria criteria. @PrakashJavdekar @BJP4India https://t.co/PnFrYVNHgn — Ketan Gondaliya(KK) (@prajapatiketang) December 9, 2019

Even though Ranbir Kapoor is low-key with his appearances, his fashion game still creates a buzz, every time he is spotted. He is one of those actors whose sartorial choices are easy to cop. Be it his joggers or super relaxed sweatshirts, his sense of style ups the street style aesthetics like no one else could possibly do in B-town. © Viral Bhayani Ranbir is not a big fan of Instagram but even then, none of his looks go unnoticed. We have seen him constantly elevating his style with pieces that revv up our wardrobes as well. We always learn a thing or two from him and this time, yet again, he sported something incredible and enviable too. Case in point, his tattered jeans. A pair of ripped jeans are now a wardrobe must-have for us and the way RK has styled it, you would want to steal it instantly. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani There are various types of jeans that help us with our personal style game. When it comes to the arena of ripped jeans, from minimal to highly distressed, there are a plethora of options to own. It looks like, Ranbir is quite updated with the fashion world as he stepped out wearing jeans that have a maximalist level of rips. The pair is minimally distressed on top but if you see the whole look of it, you would notice that it is distressed from everywhere. Now, that's flamboyance at its best!  © Viral Bhayani Ranbir ensembles are always note-worthy and definitely have a perfect blend of streetwear and athleisure style. We have to give it to his stylists, Priyanka Shahni and Kazmi Delhiwala, aka The Vainglorious who make sure that he looks effortless and has the utmost relatability factor. For the ones, who don't know, RK is also a sneakerhead. Mostly seen in chunky and edgier pairs, his collection is unbeatable. As for this outfit, he wore a light pink T-shirt. The cap and his sunglasses sure took his whole look a notch higher. This style is not just comfortable but can instantly turn heads. Hats off, Ranbir. Anand Mahindra Got Inspired By 'Gulzar's Mobile Shayari' But Fans Remind Him It's Fake

Anand Mahindra took to his Twitter and shared a picture of a shayari (couplet) to explain the importance of mobile phones in everyone's life today. However, he committed one mistake thinking that the couplet was actually written by Gulzar. Turns out, Gulzar didn't write it and the internet pointed it out soon after Anand Mahindra shared it. He shared an image that said, "Khud se zyada sambhal kar rakhta hoon mobile apna, kyunki rishtey saare ab isi mein kaid hain (I care more about my phone than myself because all my relationships are trapped in it).” Thank you Gulzarji, for giving me the logic for remaining wedded to my device! ððð½. (Even if this was a tongue-in-cheek comment, it's true that mobiles help us stay connected!) pic.twitter.com/P3NTrQ0Z16 — anand mahindra (@anandmahindra) December 9, 2019 He also wrote a caption saying, "Thank you Gulzarji, for giving me the logic for remaining wedded to my device!” Now, this isn't a line by Gulzar and netizens have flooded Mahindra's post soon after it was shared online. Here's what they have to say: This one is already listed in #NotByGulzar database #NBG @ThePuccaCritic https://t.co/7LxSrAkCg8 pic.twitter.com/XE4IluUCeY — Pavan Jha (@p1j) December 9, 2019 @anandmahindra -Incorrect credit and interpretation too . The quote is a sarcasm and not endorsement of the utility of mobile phones. — Rahul Ekbote (@rahul_ekbote) December 9, 2019 It's so true [not sure if he actually said it though :) ] — Rohit (@RohitMishraa) December 9, 2019 Are you sure that these lines are from Gulzar saab??
Seems has his name on credits only. — Vjdorby (@Aazaad_Hind1857) December 9, 2019 A very beautiful quote @anandmahindra sir. But just want to point out that I couldn't find any reference of Gulzar sahab making this shayari, so unsure of its verification.

Sometimes people make a quote with popular figure's name and their picture and people tend to believe it. — the_millennial (@kunal_kaklij) December 9, 2019 Gulzar may not have written these lines. #WhatsappUniversity — Prithvi (@The_BeardMan_) December 9, 2019 Gulzar has penned the lyrics for a lot of Bollywood films such as Parichay, Mausam, Aandhi, Masoom, Maachis, Slumdog Millionaire, Omkara, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Raazi. He is one of the most celebrated writers and lyricists of our nation. While Anand Mahindra committed a mistake by sharing the couplet but whoever wrote it, did write the truth. What do you think? Tesla Cybertruck Appears To Be Inspired By A 40-YO Design, So It's Not As Futuristic As You Think

Elon Musk took to the stage last month to unveil the new Tesla Cybertruck, a polarising EV. It has a unique trapezoidal design that's unlike anything that at least I've seen before outside of sci-fi movies. Some people even started saying that it looks like something Elon would've approved when he was high. Well, I don't blame them. The design speaks for itself and it made a hell of an impact, but I am not too sure if I like it. Sure the launch event was fun to watch. In fact, I'd say it was hilarious, really, because of how the window glass shattered. I am just not too sure about how the vehicle itself looks. Don't get me wrong, I like weird and crude automotive designs, but the Cybertruck? Nah. Turns out, Elon Musk or his team at Tesla didn't actually come up with the design from scratch. It looks like Cyberduck's design is an inspiration, and it's a heavy one at that. Here, I present to you, a 40-year-old concept by Curtis Brubaker. © Tesla Motors Club Curtis Brubaker, for those of you who don't know, is a very prominent kit car designer who has some marvelous designs to his name. So recently when I was scratching my head to figure out just how Musk would've come up with such a striking and raw design, I came across this. Look, I am not directly saying that Elon Musk and his super talented team have ripped off an old design. But I won't blame you for thinking so. The resemblance is uncanny, right? It's not futuristic, it's a clear ripoff of legendary automotive kit car designer Curtis Brubaker, who made that design over 40 years ago. Source: @JasonTorchinsky pic.twitter.com/k6hAexd8jI — Dan Mosqueda (@Mosqvich) December 8, 2019 So the design that you see above is a 40-year-old kit car concept. Brubaker churned that one out back in 1978, which, as you can see was clearly way ahead of its time. It's actually the predecessor of "UrbaCar", a very unique kit car that was even featured in a 1975 Mechanix Illustrated magazine. I mean, just look at it. It looks like a scaled-down version of Cybertruck in Yellow. © Mechanix So Brubaker's original design shows a car that transforms into a truck. It's similar to how the Cybertruck can have a sliding cover. Heck, his design even included a ramp that slides down from below. If you don't believe me, then you can check out the page of the Penthouse magazine from 1978. Look, there were a lot of problems with the original concept design and we can see most of them being reflected on the new Cybertruck design too. We did a detailed story on that a while ago and you can read that one right here. But as weird as it may look, there's no denying that the Tesla Cybertruck is quite something in its class. I mean, the specs are impressive and it has a lot going for it, like the armoured body, windows, and what not. Elon even confirmed that a modified version of the vehicle will be the official Mars truck.

Surat Temple Switches To Solar Energy & Uses The Money They Save To Teach Sanskrit In School

Almost everyone knows about solar energy and its various uses, yet in our fast-paced lives we've become so heavily dependant on using non-renewable resources to create electricity that we totally forgot about it. At a time when the world is struggling with major climate change, global warming and various environmental issues; looks like our 'prayers' have finally been heard, quite literally all thanks to a temple in Gujarat's Surat. In a bid to save electricity, the Badrinarayan temple in Surat switched to solar energy and installed solar panels on the terrace of the temple. But, that's not even the best part. The best part is, they are going to use that saved money to promote education in the region. The shrine has started a college and a school for Sanskrit. So far, 50 kilowatt capacity solar panels worth Rs 25 lakh have been installed on the terrace of the temple.   Praveen Chandra, temple's trustee: The electricity bill used to be very high. So motive behind this was to save money. The bill dropped from Rs 1.5-2 Lakh per month to Rs 10-12,000 per month now. With the money that was saved, we started a college and a school for Sanskrit.(6.12) https://t.co/Ahm5yuiFB7 pic.twitter.com/kGuU2ga88g — ANI (@ANI) December 6, 2019 Reportedly, temple's trustee Praveen Chandra said that the electricity bill used to be very high, so they switched to using solar energy, "The motive behind this was to save money. 'The Rapist Is You': India Performs The Hindi Version Of The Chilean Anthem On Sexual Violence

Every time you open the newspaper, there's a report on crime against a woman, be it sexual or physical. India is slowly regressing towards 'no country for women' and that makes us really sad. But even though you read the word rape ever so often in the Indian context, rape is a global reality and in some countries the number of rapes are as many or more than in India. © Facebook/El Comercio While we blame the authorities for not keeping our surroundings secure, we do know that building a mass movement makes a larger impact than anything else, more than waiting for authorities to implement proper safety measures around the city, which have failed us miserably in the past. That's why on November 20, women protesters came out on to the streets of the city of Santiago, Chile, reciting powerful words of a poem titled 'A Rapist On Your Way'. The women wearing black were blindfolded, all of them wearing lipstick and chanting 'El violador eres tu (The rapist is you).' © Facebook/El Comercio The protest was organised by Las Tesis, a women's collective in Santiago, who got thousands of women together on the streets to start a movement which has today become a global outcry, especially the words of the anthem the women were heard singing which have picked up a grave momentum and have been chanted all over the world. The videos from the protest went viral all over and because India is going through the same situation, reached the ears of our women, and rightfully so! They say empathy during a difficult situation heals everything in time and while there's a long way to go where healing is concerned for the years of subjugation and violence women have undergone, India could heavily relate to the Chilean protest and how! After the Hyderabad rape of the vet, where her body was tormented and burnt and the Unnao rape victim's death recently after she was stabbed and set ablaze, India's outrage will never cease to exist, at least for another decade or so, or till things become better. So, on December 7, 2019, a group of Indian women kept the anthem alive, by getting out on the streets in Delhi's Jantar Mantar, to chant their own version of the Chilean 'A Rapist In Your Way', complete with blindfolds and slogans.   Hundreds gathered for a flash mob protest at Jantar Mantar against rapes and the complete breakdown of law to bring justice to rape victim families on a day when #Unnao rape victim, who was brutally burnt, lost her life. #ReporterDiary (@milan_reports) pic.twitter.com/aHs9EYfoiu — India Today (@IndiaToday) December 7, 2019 The Indian chapter was held at Jantar Mantar, Connaught Place at 3pm, and it built enough momentum with people pouring in as and when. Even men joined the slogan, echoing the same sentiment and it was the best form of unity we've seen, where gender roles and biases are concerned in the country. The Indian chapter was titled 'A Rapist in Your Way Intervention India Chapter In Solidarity'. © Facebook/El Comercio The protest aimed to address violence of any form against women in the country and it really fell on deaf ears when everyone was chanting it together. “And the fault wasn't mine, not where I was, not how I dressed  And the fault wasn't mine, not where I was, not how I dressed  And the fault wasn't mine, not where I was, not how I dressed  And the fault wasn't mine, not where I was, not how I dressed  The rapist is you.  The rapist is you. It's the cops, The judges, The state, The president. The oppressive state is a rapist. The oppressive state is a rapist.” While this poem may not mean anything to a few, it actually is a solid mirror that reflects our society. It's not how women dress, or carry themselves or what they do that 'provoke' the men. It's what they expect from the government and the authorities, when they're helplessly tortured and tormented. And sadly so, the authorities and the government have always failed them. The state has failed them. While 'enough is enough' has also become a popular slogan in the country, casual sexism, oppression and harassment still happen openly all over, apart from more heinous crimes like rape. We aspire to live in a country where women are free to walk, talk, dress, have sex, most importantly, breath and believe in themselves with confidence and a heightened sense of self and that will only happen if we let go of archaic norms from the society and newer ones, where women are respected and cared for, take shape.

Despite Loss, Rohit Sharma's Inclusion In Decision-Making Shows All's Good In The Dressing Room

The Indian cricket team was made to look like one of those below average teams against Kieron Pollard's West Indies side in the second T20I match at the Greenfields Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.  After winning the toss, Pollard decided to bowl first and despite getting a surprising beating at the hands of Shivam Dube in the first half of India's batting innings, were able to make amendments. Expertly gauging the changing pitch conditions with time, Pollard's bowlers were able to limit India's total to a sub-par 170.  How do you feel about us chasing this? #IndvWI #ItsOurGame #MenInMaroon pic.twitter.com/VLSWECTtRB — Windies Cricket (@windiescricket) December 8, 2019 And thanks to some awful fielding by the Men in Blue, it was easier than expected for the Windies to win the second match and tie the series at 1-1. Having said that, there was this brief moment in the early moments of India's bowling attack which had a greater significance in the chemistry of Team India which goes beyond the final result of one match. After a couple of overs by Deepak Chahar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, skipper Virat Kohli walked to the middle of the field to have a brief meeting with Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma. Evidently, Kohli had made up his mind to give Chahar a small break from the bowling rotation and introduce Washington Sundar into the attack. © Reuters But this is where Sharma stepped in and opined that it would be for the best to let Chahar bowl one more over because ending his spell was important and without a lot of discussion, Kohli obliged. It's a debate for another day that Chahar had a really expensive over and both of the Windies openers sent his deliveries for multiple boundaries.  However, it is worth noticing how Sharma is being a part of such mid-game decision-making more and more with every game. And based on the success he has had in Kohli's absence and as the leader of the most successful franchises of the Indian Premier League, his inputs most definitely have credibility.  Another reason why Kohli has started approaching Sharma for his thoughts is the absence of the former Indian captain and wicket-keeper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Not too long ago, it was Dhoni who'd help Kohli make important decisions at crucial moments during a match. As one of the most experienced players of the current Team India and the vice-captain, Sharma has definitely filled the void that MS Dhoni has left behind.  © Reuters A month ago, rumours of a tiff between Kohli and Sharma had filled the sports columns of every tabloid and news website. It is therefore refreshing to see such teamwork and two of the best cricketers in the world working together as a unit.

On Sunday morning, people woke up to the news of a massive fire breaking out at Delhi's Anaj Mandi. Over 40 innocent lives have been lost in this tragic fire mishap. However, the number could have been much higher, had a brave firefighter not risked his life to save as many lives as he could, instead of waiting for backup. On This Day, Virender Sehwag Became The Second Batsman To Slam An ODI Double Century 9 Years Ago

Brute strength, outspoken, and the ability to give zero f*cks about what the rest of the world has to say about him, Virender Sehwag is that rare gem that continues to be one of the most liked and adored cricketers despite hanging his gloves in October 2015. India's dashing opener Virender Sehwag retires from international crickethttps://t.co/dVyVzEOgg0 pic.twitter.com/bUTZS3CiVN — AP Sports (@AP_Sports) October 20, 2015 The former opener for the Indian cricket team's batting order, Sehwag, with his mighty shoulders was known to make big shots to give his side a blistering start to their innings. And even though he struggled at times to keep up his consistency, he will go down in history as one of the most fearsome batsmen in the world.  When you score 103 off 90 balls in a Test and commentators still say its a little slow for your standards.. You are scary! #Sehwag #IndvsEng — Asalie (@peseyie) November 15, 2012 One of the biggest innings of Viru Sehwag's life took place on this very day exactly nine years ago when the righty marched to the pitch with opening partner Gautam Gambhir at the Indore Stadium against Darren Sammy and the West Indies side.  After winning the toss, Sehwag, who also happened to be the captain of the squad for the series, chose to bat first and went on a rampage against the Windies bowling attack. He struck 25 fours and seven massive sixes to make a personal best of 219 runs in just 149 deliveries.  The legend went on to share hundred-plus partnerships with Gambhir and Suresh Raina, both of whom completed their respective half-tons as well, before Sehwag got dismissed on a catch while trying to go for a maximum at long-off.  His 219 made him just the second man in ODI history (after teammate Sachin Tendulkar) to score a double-ton. It also helped the Men in Blue build a monumental 418-run total which turned out to be virtually impossible to chase for the visitors. Sammy and Co. folded at 265 and India won the match by 153 runs.

Ranveer Wore A 'Queen' Outfit That Makes Him The Right Fit For The Hindi Remake Of 'Bohemian Rhapsody'

Ranveer Singh's stylist Nitasha Gaurav once said in an interview that Ranveer Singh refuses to pick up anything that's conventional or ordinary when it comes to styling his outfits. He makes sure that his outfits are wild and turn heads. The fact that the inspiration comes from everything around him is what makes his outfits out of the ordinary, this has also become his signature now. Case in point: pulling off an outfit inspired by Queen. For a recent outfit, Ranveer Singh dressed in an outfit that had been inspired by Freddie Mercury's wardrobe. Take a look: © Instagram/Nitasha Gaurav He wore a head to toe Sabyasachi outfit that consisted of a gender-fluid golden blouse and printed pants along with sparkling golden Louboutins. © Instagram/Nitasha Gaurav The whole vibe of the outfit matched Freddie's aesthetic, and also Rami Malek's from the film Bohemian Rhapsody which is also based on Freddie Mercury's life. © Instagram/Nitasha Gaurav But, this is not the first time Ranveer Singh was inspired by a strong character's outfit. He's also previously worn the famous 'Joker 'suit. He usually chooses pieces to put together an outfit that is in a good way bizarre. In fact, he's the trendsetter when it comes to over-the-top fashion and has made these trends acceptable here which is a commendable achievement.

From A Pornstar Moustache To A Sharp Handlebar, Here Are 5 Right-Swipe Worthy Moustache Styles

The moustache is clearly back; with celebrities like Kartik Aaryan, Arjun Kapoor and even Ranveer Singh for that matter flaunting a stache on the regular. Like the well-groomed beard days, when you would see a beard on literally every face when you step out, the moustache is quickly taking over now. Now, a moustache doesn't have to be goofy and animated like you've seen on cartoons while growing up. There are plenty of styles that you can dip your toes in for a signature stache that suits your face. 1. The Handlebar Moustache This moustache type was made popular by Ranveer Singh's sharp handlebar back in the day. This moustache was groomed by his stylist Darshan Yewalekar. © Viral Bhayani Further, Arjun Kapoor has had it for as long as he shot his film Panipat. This is probably why you saw less of him in public. He was preserving his lewk (with a hat) for the film which also included a signature Maratha shaved head.     © Viral Bhayani A handlebar moustache can essentially be defined as a flexible stache that can be both long and short. But it definitely should be thick and the ends must be curled upward. This can be achieved using moustache wax. 2. The Chevron Moustache The Chevron moustache relies on coarse hair, which can take months to grow out at a time. While this style is much more precise and simple to grow, it does take a while to grow it out to perfection and only straight and wavy hair make the cut for the perfect Chevron. © Viral Bhayani A good example is Kartik Aaryan's stache from his film Pati, Patni Aur Woh. 3. The Thick Sloping Beard And Mustache Comb Now, if you still don't want to get rid of the beard, this style may be the one for you. It includes a thick moustache, which fully covers the upper lip complemented with a fully grown beard. Stache's style in such a situation can be relatively flexible. One good example is Chris Evans' signature look. © Getty Images 4. The Shadow If you are looking to create the slightest hint of a moustache, the shadow is a great example. This increasingly growing style can be seen on celebrities like Goerge Clooney. © Viral Bhayani You can have a shadow moustache in as little as a single day, depending on the rate at which your facial hair grows. 5. The Pornstar Moustache Although the pornstar moustache has different variations, the most popular one can be defined as a thick, heavy moustache with slightly elongated ends and no accompanying facial hair. © Viral Bhayani A recent example is Ayushmann Khurrana's stache that he briefly sported this year.

Avengers Dancing On 'Disco Deewane' Proves They're The Greatest 'Superheroes Of The Year'

What if Avengers was made in Bollywood? Imagine Thanos breaking into a victory dance after wiping off half of the superheroes. Or Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor and Thanos dancing together on Disco Deewane? I know it's crazy to imagine something like this, but if it's a movie made by Karan Johar, anything is possible. And the man himself gave a proof of the same to the world, by sharing this hilarious edited video. The 27-second video shows a bunch of people dressed as Avengers, dancing on the song Disco Deewane from Karan Johar's Students Of The Year with the caption "If Karan Johar made Avengers". Siddharth Malhotra too replied to this video and wrote, "Fabulous". ððð https://t.co/jlgbHtbAdv — Karan Johar (@karanjohar) December 6, 2019 Honestly, we won't be surprised if he decides to make his next movie on the Marvel superheroes and call the movie Superheroes Of The Year with Tiger Shroff and Ranveer Singh in the lead. 4 Painless Ways To Get Rid Of Ingrown Hair In Your Beard Or Moustache

Ingrown hair can be really painful and if it's left untreated, it can cause infection under your skin. There are certain culprits like shaving often or washing your beard every day that can lead to ingrown hair. It often appears near the neck region or your moustache. The hair tends to get stuck and grow sideways or curl back in.  Other reasons like dead skin cells, clogged pores, lack of moisture etc can also make the issue severe. Keep this thought to rest as there's good news for you. Include a few steps in your grooming routine and notice the problem fade away slowly. Don't despair and get rid of the ingrown hair, stat. 1. Exfoliation Exfoliating your skin inside your beard can grant a good scrub to your skin. It removes dead skin cells and you shed old skin that will ultimately make you feel fresh. When excess dead skin cells get clogged, it keeps away the new hair from growing which further leads to ingrowth. Exfoliating with a mild cleanser can do a good deed for you. It removes oils, dirt and other grime that's stuck beneath your skin.  © Istock 2. Use A Warm Compress A warm compress like a towel dipped in warm water is another remedy for ingrown hair. The heat from it can soften the skin, bringing the stubborn hair back to the surface. Then, it becomes easy to remove it with tweezers. This could be time-consuming but it's quite effective. © Istock 3. Moisturising Is Your Best Bet  You cannot ever leave your beard feeling dry as that sets home for ingrown hair. Skin needs natural oil for hydration but sometimes that's not enough. Hence, using products like a moisturiser or beard oil can save you from the ugly wrath of ingrown hair. © Istock 4. Try Natural Home Remedies Not everyone is a big fan of medicines or tweezers. There are some natural ways that can treat ingrown hair. A home-made exfoliator is your best bet. Try out the following. (a) Honey has skin benefits and it can instantly moisturise your skin. It tends to loosen ingrown hair and bring it to the surface. Leave the honey on the affected areas for good 20 minutes for best results. © Istock (b) Mixing aloe vera gel with tea tree oil is known for its anti-inflammatory properties that can treat ingrown hair. Dilute tree oil in water first and then apply it with aloe vera gel.  © Istock

Man Eats Duct-Taped Banana 'Artwork' Sold For Rs 85 Lakh & It Looks Like A Delicious Crime

The duct-taped banana which was recently sold off for a whopping $120,000 (around Rs 85 lakh) has been trending over the internet for quite a while now. In case if you are still not aware and are wondering what is this bizarre piece of information that just came your way, then allow me to enlighten you with some background information. Before that, for context, here's an image of the wonderful art installation that has got the world talking. It is being showcased at a Miami art exhibition when it caught the eye of its buyer. There are, infact, three editions of this peeling art. The gallery owner where it is displayed had a perception about it that it signifies that the meaning of an object changes depending on the context.   The buyer apparently was told he could replace the banana with time and it comes with a installation manual of its own. Yeah, that happened.  Anyway, an update on this hog wash of money spending is that a performance artist causally walked up to this installation and infact, ate this banana. He called himself a "hungry artist".  View this post on Instagram “Hungry Artist” Art performance by me ð I love Maurizio Cattelan artwork and I really love this installation It's very delicious ð #artbasel #artbaselmiamibeach #daviddatuna #Eatingabanana #Mauriziocattelan #Hungryartist A post shared by David Datuna (@david_datuna) on Dec 7, 2019 at 11:38am PST This guy is internet's new hero for the day and people have mixed reactions to this video. Move Over Sunny Kaushal's Sneakers As He Ramps Up In A Desi Outfit With Leather Kolhapuris

When it comes to two brothers making a statement and then finally concluding who is the true winner of the sartorial game, we must say it gets a tad bit difficult. Bollywood has not just given us great movies but also stylish siblings who never forget to strike a chord. Time and again, Hardik Pandya and his brother Krunal Pandya have shown us how to elevate our basic style. On the other hand, Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurana taught us to be experimental.  © Viral Bhayani The list is never-ending but, of late, if there's a duo that's actually making us straight sit, it has to be Vicky and Sunny Kaushal. Vicky has proven that his wardrobe is a mix of staples with chunky sneakers. Hazel Keech, Yuvraj Singh's wife, is playing the lead role in the play. The play was opened to the audience on Saturday in Mumbai.  According to HT, speaking about the play,  Hazel said, “The play Euripides' Medea is not only a classic, but is also a very appealing script. It has a lot of layers and is complex. The thing I liked the most is that something so ancient is being directed by someone so young." View this post on Instagram I'm not very good at acting. '50 Shades' Director Made A Film Of David Beckham Sleeping & It Plays In Hospitals, But Why?

There is a fine line between what you can call an 'art piece' and 'creepy', and the director of the 50 Shades Of Grey franchise Sam Taylor-Johnson sure loves to play with it through her work. Back in 2004, the Beacon Community College and Goldsmiths, University of London alumna was commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery to make a video portrait of famed Football star, David Beckham. Taylor-Johnson decided to depict the former captain of the English football team while he was sleeping.  A decade and a half later, Beckham's hour-long sleeping video has found a new home in the ultrasound department at Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone, East London, the institution in which the footballer was born on May 2, 1975.  "We looked at a number of different venues with a relationship to David Beckham, including a railway station, a school and a football ground," said Sarah Tinsley, Director of Exhibitions and Collections at the National Portrait Gallery. "In the end, the hospital seemed to provide the best environment for showing the work. He was born in the hospital so it had a really strong connection," she added.  The 'art' rests royally on a wall which the hospital has decorated very nicely “not to make it feel like an art gallery but to present it in the best possible way...” We received the first ever loan of artwork to a hospital from the National Portrait Gallery yesterday! The video installation shows David Beckham, who was born at Whipps, sleeping and is part of the Coming Home initiative from the @NPGLondon. Read more: https://t.co/9Ww2UALzHY pic.twitter.com/upnTZsjqBe — Whipps Cross Hosp (@WhippsCrossHosp) December 6, 2019 "What this space provides is a moment of quietness while people are waiting for appointments or coming out," Tinsley said. "The work is a very peaceful, very intimate, different kind of portrait. It is quite calming to watch. It provides people with something very quiet, something very peaceful to look at," she added. The thing is… it is a video of David Beckham, the former Football captain of England, Premier League legend and a FIFA World Player of the Year, sleeping for one whole hour and in front of you, looped on repeat as you wait to get an ultrasound and I don't want to look at one of my favourite footballers sleep throughout. I don't!

'Panipat' Review: A Brave Attempt At Recreating History, But Falls Short Of Expectations

When you know you will be watching an Ashutosh Gowarikar period drama, you expect lavish sets, picturesque locations and the cherry on top - a stellar cast. Ashutosh Gowarikar has built quite a legacy and before entering the theatre, you are bound to think of his successful movie Jodha Akbar and his disaster drama Mohenjo Daro. If you are thinking the movie Panipat will completely move you, then you might have to lower your expectations because it's one of those done and dusted settings wherein you don't have much to explore. Besides that, it does have its own flaws too. The third Battle Of Panipat fought on January 14, 1761, is a part of History textbooks and we all know what had happened. The movie was quite close to being factually correct, but there were some things that were added just to raise the entertainment quotient of the movie. So, you have Arjun Kapoor as the commander-in-chief Sadashivrao Bhau who leads the army to fight the Afghans who have their eyes on the throne of Delhi. He is a Peshwa who's powerful and strategic. Arjun falls short in powerful sequences, for instance when the army has to mount a strong counter back. There are many places in the movie where you would want Arjun to deliver his dialogues more powerfully which he certainly lacks. Nevertheless, he comes to his own at the war front, thus doing justice to the character completely. His sword-fighting sequences, his dialect and his entire look do fit the bill.  View this post on Instagram Getting a chance to play Sadashiv Rao Bhau has been an amazing & overwhelming experience... A True Patriot & Leader... His Strength, Valour & Resilience was our way of showcasing the true spirit of the Maratha Empire that protected India for over 100 years... can't wait to share the film with all of you... 1 week to go... #panipat 6th December @agppl @kritisanon @duttsanjay @ashutoshgowariker @sunita.gowariker @reliance.entertainment @zeemusiccompany A post shared by Arjun Kapoor (@arjunkapoor) on Nov 27, 2019 at 10:08pm PST Kriti plays the role of Sadashivrao Bhau's wife Parvati, and when you see her on the screen, it seems like she is trying too hard to fit into that role. She fails in impressing us due to the lack of a stronghold on the dialect. At times, you feel that it's all forced when it comes to her scenes in the movie. But, brownie points to Ashutosh for bringing in a woman's point of view in the war sequences.  View this post on Instagram Unveiling Parvati Bai from #Panipat! ð In cinemas on 6th December! @duttsanjay @arjunkapoor #AshutoshGowariker @sunita.gowariker @rohit.shelatkar @sarkarshibasish @agppl @visionworldfilm @reliance.entertainment @zeemusiccompany A post shared by Kriti (@kritisanon) on Nov 30, 2019 at 6:13am PST Sanjay Dutt as the Afghan invader Ahmad Shah Abdali does make his presence felt. He is brutal and menacing, but you might feel that the character of Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavat' was way better in showing that brutality on the screen. Somewhere I felt that Dutt didn't get enough opportunity to make his character look as powerful as we were expecting it to be.  View this post on Instagram It was a wonderful experience to play such a strong & fierce character in #Panipat. See you all in the cinemas on 6th Dec. A post shared by Sanjay Dutt (@duttsanjay) on Nov 28, 2019 at 1:34am PST You might like Mohnish Bahl as the Peshwa ruler as his acting was quite convincing. Padmini Kolhapure (his wife in the movie) didn't get enough screen space to prove her strong acting skills as she was reduced to being a caricature. The movie does have its highs and lows - CK Muraleedharan's cinematography deserves a mention as aerial shots during the dance sequences and the final war scene does leave you spellbound. But, there were some transitions in the movie which were hastily done and looked unfinished on the big screen. The biggest problem with the movie, according to me, was its length and lack of pace. The love angle between Sadashivrao Bhau and Parvati Bai also seems a bit overstretched in a movie about the Third Battle of Panipat.  In a nutshell, Panipat is surely a tribute to Maratha warriors but I felt that the movie lacked conviction and there was nothing beyond what we already knew of. I would say that it's a one-time watch for the efforts that have been put to recreate one of the most important events of Indian history.

There's Now A Thing Called 'USB Condom' That Protects Smartphones From Public Charging Points

Yes, you read that right, a “USB Condom” does exist even though it is probably the worst phrase you may have heard in the technology space. It is a device that prevents your smartphone at public charging points from transferring data. It can also be termed as a USB “data blocker” and is officially called the PortaPow 3rd-gen USB data blocker.  © PortaPow It costs around Rs 500 and has the ability to kill all data transfers as it removes any data transfers by obstructing the connection physically. This device prevents scammers from phishing at public charging points as a way to steal data from users. One needs to simply attach the PortaPow data blocker to the charging end of a cable and then plug it into the smartphone.  © PortaPow Scammers or hackers use “juice jacking” as a method to copy sensitive data or install malware on smartphones, tablets and other smart devices. In other cases, scammers have been able to install ransomware on smartphones and lockout users from their own devices unless the demanded ransom is paid. Scammers have also gone to the extent of leaving charging cables at these public charging points to target users who have forgotten their own cables.  If you really do care about your own privacy or do not want any malware on your phone, Rs 500 is a very small price to pay. However, this data blocker is not compatible with USB-C devices. So, until the company releases a new one soon, you can get another adaptor to make it compatible with your existing devices.

Apple Is Planning To Launch 5 New iPhones Next Year Including The iPhone SE 2

New rumours about the 2020 iPhones have emerged and it comes from one of the most reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The rumours, or rather prediction mentions that Apple is planning to launch a few more iPhones than they normally do in a year. Kuo has detailed that up to five new iPhone models which are expected to launch in 2020 and one of them is going to be a throwback to an iPhone we haven't seen in a while. © Tf Internatioal Securities iPhone predictions can't be entirely accurate as Apple is known for changing their mind at the last minute, however we're quite excited about what's in store for Apple customers. Next year, we can expect a 4.7-inch iPhone that will come with a single rear camera and could be the new iPhone SE 2. There's a good chance we might see this phone launch in the first quarter of 2020 while other rumoured phones may launch in the latter half of the year.  © Unsplash/Daniel Romero The other phones that are expected to launch include a “5.4-inch iPhone 12 with dual-lens rear camera, a 6.1-inch iPhone 12 with dual-lens rear camera, a 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro with a triple-lens rear camera, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max with triple-lens rear camera” according to Ming-Chi Kuo via MacRumors. All four smartphones are expected to support 5G connectivity and come with OLED panels like the Pro models from this generation.  © Unsplash/Daniel Romero The iPhone SE, expected in 2021, could come in two sizes i.e. with a 5.5 and 6.1-inch display while the Pro models may not even come with a lightning port. Apple has already implemented a USB-C port the iPad Pro and it could be possible that Apple may include a USB-C port for the new higher-end iPhone models too. There's also a good chance that the company may not even include any ports and completely rely on fast wireless charging and fast data transfer speeds.  As usual, these are based on rumours and need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Whether the rumours are true or not, it looks like Apple is working on something exciting for 2020. Source: MacRumors

From Daniel Craig's Accent To A*shole Chris Evans, 5 Reasons Why 'Knives Out' Is A Must-Watch

A good murder-mystery is kind of rare and that's why when we get one, we should immediately get our butts to the theatres to watch it. That's why, at least according to me, Knives Out is a movie that honestly everyone should watch. Disclaimer - first of all, there are no spoilers for the movie, obviously, and second of all, no I'm not getting paid to get people to watch this movie. I just really loved it so much that I needed to share it. So, moving on, we have a great 'whodunnit' starring Daniel Craig, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, among other great actors. The movie has a lot of great moments, from serious to just funny, and even though it can get annoying to watch a movie like this in theatres since some people don't know how to put their phone on silence and some people don't know how to keep their mouths shut during movies, but if you look past that, it makes for a great movie-watching experience. Here are some of the reasons that would convince anyone to watch Knives Out: 1. It actually is a 'whodunnit like no one has ever dunnit' The movie did deliver what the trailer promised. A great, unexpected murder mystery even if it follows all the cliches in the book - a very old rich guy gets murdered, his family is full of a*sholes who have everything to gain from his death, literally every character is a suspect, and the police get some help from a mysterious detective. Even after taking in all the plot points of every murder-mystery novel out there, the movie still surprises you with every twist and turn, and even makes you laugh at a lot of points. 2. A rich, as&hole-ish, very unlike Captain America, Chris Evans Who would've thought that just after seeing Steve Rogers prove how worthy he is by wielding the Mjolnir, the next role he would be playing will be of a rich a*shole-ish trust-fund brat? Yeah, Hugh Ransom Drysdale is as big a douchebag as the trailer portrayed and Chris Evans really deserves a lot of credit for going from Captain America to this. Special shoutout to his acting skills in the scene with the dogs, because Chris Evans would never. 3. The perfect 'eat the rich' movie As I mentioned, almost every character in the movie is part of this one family - the Thrombeys - and everything falls apart for everyone when their patriarch, Harlan Thrombey, is found dead right after his 85th birthday. They're all rich, they're all millionaires, they're all privileged, they're all entitled, they're all a*sholes. All of them are dependent on Harlan for money, one way or another, and now that their source of income is dead, they're all suspects. It's very interesting to see the family fall apart when money is in question and to see how fake their concern is for Harlan when it comes to them losing their wealth. 4. Daniel Craig's accent The James Bond from the south! Even though you can hear Daniel Craig's accent in the trailer as well, it really was something else to hear him speak in theatres. Moreover, there's a very important speech - not giving any spoilers - that is one of the best parts of the movies, and his accent just makes it a hundred times better. Special mention - Chris Evans' dig at him, which was so lame that it made it hilarious. 5. A great star-studded cast that works well off of each other I debated actually putting the names of the entire cast here, but everyone can see that in the trailer itself so there's no point. But, there are some incredible actors in the movie and all of them work so well together, it's hard to imagine that they're actually not a dysfunctional family. They have a useless son, ambitious daughter, a freeloader daughter-in-law, a rich trust-fund brat, a liberal left-wing activist granddaughter, a Nazi right-wing troll, it's the perfect mix of an interesting family to watch who would stab anyone in the back to get what they want. Bonus - Katherine Langford's lack of acting skills don't ruin the movie. A very, very important point, especially after seeing that deleted Avengers: Endgame scene where she plays a grown-up Morgan talking to Tony Stark after he snaps his fingers.

There are certain questions one should never ask, no matter how curious one is. And no one can understand it better than Zomato, when they recently asked their followers to come up with 'most creative' restaurant names. Recently, Zomato took to their social media to ask, "What is the most creative restaurant name you've ever come across?" and honestly, the responses they got make us feel like we've been living in a parallel universe all this while. Desi people really don't know how to disappoint anyone and this Twitter thread is proof of the same. And in case you're thinking, "they're like regular names with funny spelling mistakes", you're wrong. These restaurants put 'we' in the word 'weird'.  From 'Ram Bharose', 'Second Wife' to 'Frying Nemo', these names are so bizarre that people even shared pictures as proof that they are not 'cooking' this up.
