This year, Vicky Kaushal is gearing up for his new film, Bhoot. For the film, Vicky has already kick-started the promotional activities. This will be his first film after taking a brief break in 2019 and giving us massive hits like Uri last year.
But, now that he's back at the game, and is also shooting for Karan Johar's Takht wherein he'll be starring alongside Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor, we'll be seeing more of his public appearances.
Indian dance crew V Unbeatables who previously rose to fame after appearing on Americaâs Got Talent wowed the audience again when they participated in the second season of Americaâs Got Talent: The Champions which had some of the best participants coming together to compete for a grand title. Their performance on âMarana Mass' left the judges and the audience speechless. It was loved immensely on social media as well.
After a long wait of all the votes pouring in, the heavily emotional finale saw the dance crew beat the other participants Duo Transcend and win the grand title of being the champions. The audience roared in chorus as the place was filled with cheers for the well deserved win.
Give it up for your new #AGTChampion winners, @v_unbeatable! pic.twitter.com/Ov4gkqnaEm â America's Got Talent (@AGT) February 18, 2020
Before the results were announced though, all the finalists performed for one last time on the show and while for their fans they were already the winner, V Unbeatables danced to a wonderful choreography routine on âTattad Tattadâ from Raam Leela .
In case you are wondering, they look unbeatable but what does the V in their name stand for, then let us tell you itâs not victory , even though they seem to be destined for it. The âVâ in their name stands for a team member named Vikas , who met with an accident while performing a stunt for a show and sadly succumbed to the tragic fate. This is a beautiful tribute and is a reflection of how united the team is. Well, Indians are born to take the world by a storm and an Indian dance crew winning a talent hunt in America proves India has truly got the real championship-winning talent. View the full article
The sport of Kambala
is truly having its greatest week of all time right now. Records and history is
being made and then broken in a span of days, it's harder to keep up with this

A few days ago, Srinivasa Gowda, a Kambala jockey from Karnataka, made history by breaking, not just the sport
of Kambala's thirty-year-old record, but technically was even faster than none
other than Usain Bolt.

Abdullah Pathan has become more of a cult hero who is referred to as the âBahubali of Moradabadâ. Wherever he goes, people stand in long queues to get a picture clicked with him and his videos on VMate, a short video platform, are watched by over eight lakh followers everyday.
It is his brute strength and sheer power that makes him a walking marvel who will immediately capture your eyes while doing something unthinkable, be it lifting people like barbells or breaking raw coconuts with a forearm smash.
His videos of pulling a massive commercial truck which was allegedly weighed at 20 tonne, went viral and people canât stop wondering how he did that:
We got in touch with the beast of a man himself and found out his diet and workout regime through the day:
âI start my day with a pre-workout diet which includes 40-50 soaked almonds and black coffee, followed by two hours of rigorous workout,â he says.
âExercises include running with big tyres tied with ropes and attached to my waist or running, pushups, squats, bench press with some weight held on my shoulders. It is not a regular work out but is entirely a raw work out session.
âPost the workout around 8 am, I take my first meal of the day which comprises of some sprouts (pulses) close to 50 gms, 50-100 soaked & peeled almonds, 20 dates, 0.5-1 kg boiled fish/chicken, eggs and either milk or curd, the quantity of which I see and balance accordingly and two types of fruits.
âIt can either be 2 to 4 bananas and 0.5 kg papaya.
âThen between 12 noon and 1 pm, I eat my lunch which includes 300 gm-500 gm of either chicken, mutton, or fish with 6-7 pieces of chapati plus one bowl of rice with loads of green salad.
âThen around 3 pm, I eat my pre-workout meal, and this includes any dry fruit around 25 gms- 50 gms, 4 eggs (yolks included), 1 fruit either apple or banana. Later, I perform my workout for 2 hrs again.
âMy dinner includes cooked green vegetables, salad, 1 litre milk, half a kg of chicken, mutton or fish, 0.5 kg with 4 chapatis. I avoid taking curd at dinner time,â he adds.
Never the one to shy away from entertaining a crowd with his strength, Pathan wishes to become a part of the WWE, and further his dream of pro-wrestling on a global level.
âIt is an excellent platform for people like me as everyone cannot afford to go abroad. Also, language is a barrier. Having a WWE performance centre in India is an ultimate opportunity for aspirants like me. We have so much worthy talent in the country for WWE but to get the opportunity to perform was always a bottleneck, but not now,â he says.
âI was always inclined towards sports but since I am from a family where everyone is in government services, I was also expected to enrol into some government services. However, after passing high school I went on to enquire about the boxing training in Bhiwani as I aspired to be a boxer at one point of time, but I got to know that it needs years of training and I had already passed the eligible age. I was told that even Vijender Singh was trained for more than 22 years to reach where he is now. I did not lose hope and focused my energies on WWE as it has no age limitation,â he adds.
While Abdullah is looking for a mentor who can guide him towards having a successful pro-wrestling career, he continues to keep up with his desi-dangal practice. He is also saving up to build himself a professional ring.
Despite coming from a small town, his big dreams are the driving force that enable Abdullah to stay true to his training and have the strength to achieve what most of us feel is not possible. View the full article

Yesterday, I wrote an article about how Karnataka's Kambala star, Srinivasa Gowda made the most sensible decision to respectfully say 'no' to Kiren Rijiju and our Sports Ministry, that had announced his participation in the trial for the 100m sprinting event.
He is Srinivasa Gowda (28) from Moodabidri in Dakshina Kannada district. Ran 142.5 meters in just 13.62 seconds at a "Kambala" or Buffalo race in a slushy paddy field. 100 meters in JUST 9.55 seconds! @usainbolt took 9.58 seconds to cover 100 meters. #Karnataka pic.twitter.com/DQqzDsnwIP
— DP SATISH (@dp_satish) February 13, 2020
But clearly a lot of our readers did not agree with my views and called me out on social media and I completely understand where they were coming from.
"How can somebody like Gowda say no to such an opportunity? He made the biggest mistake of his life declining this offer. He will regret this later," those were the most common comments amidst the mundane name-calling and abusing in the article's comments section.
Our sports ministry is willing to give the opportunity to those who deserve it the most even on the basis of videos that go viral on social media; however, do the participants actually get a fair chance?
The Kambala jockey was the latest example of this 'activity' and people are going crazy over him, and are comparing him to the Jamaican Olympian and all-time great Usain Bolt.
They have completely forgotten about those who have lived through the same week of stardom, only to be unremembered by everyone, including the ministry that promised them a bright future and the hopes of helping them participating in the Olympics one day.
Don't believe me? Then hear it from the horse's mouth himself.
Seven months ago, a video of Rameshwar 'Barefoot Runner' Gurjar, 'who covered 100m in 11 seconds', surfaced online and everyone wanted him to be India's Bolt back then. Unlike Gowda, Gurjar surrendered to all the public attention he was getting suddenly and even vowed to beat Bolt's record.
India is blessed with talented individuals. Provided with right opportunity & right platform, they'll come out with flying colours to create history!
Urge @IndiaSports Min. @KirenRijiju ji to extend support to this aspiring athlete to advance his skills!
Thanks to @govindtimes. pic.twitter.com/ZlTAnSf6WO
— Shivraj Singh Chouhan (@ChouhanShivraj) August 16, 2019
The ministry offered him the same deal they offered Gowda but our 'barefoot runner' said 'yes' back then.
“My trial was organised in a hurry and I was made to run on the tracks with shoes even though I had an injured leg,” Rameshwar told MensXP. “I even told them that my leg was not healed properly but even then they made me participate in the race," he said.
“Yes, I was invited to the sports academy in Bhopal but there was no trainer assigned to me. I was left all alone and had to keep practising on my own,” he added.
When the trial finally happened, Gurjar crashed and burned. He crossed the finish line last amongst the seven participants. What was the world expecting out of him? This was completely new and everything about this race was unfamiliar to him. The shoes versus his feet, the soft track instead of the hard and piercing asphalt roads, the stadium versus the village environment, everything was different.
Kiren Rijiju posted the video of Gurjar's trial and promised him that he will be given “proper time and training” regardless of the disappointing race. But did he get all those things?
Rameshwar Gurjar's trial run was conducted at T T Nagar Stadium by senior coaches of SAI and State Govt. Here, Rameshwar is seen running at extreme left. He is exhausted due to the glare of publicity so couldn't perform well. Will give proper time and training to him. pic.twitter.com/RQtkxWFDFR
— Kiren Rijiju (@KirenRijiju) August 19, 2019
“I got nothing. I had to come back home. Nobody was willing to take care of my expenses so I had to return,” said a disheartened Gurjar. “I try to get my training here only. I go to my ground and practice here and there," he said.
When asked about what he felt about the Kambala jockey, Srinivasa Gowda said, “I saw his video and I was very impressed with him. He ran on mud with no shoes on so I could relate with him.”
“I would request him to take his time before saying 'yes' to the trial. He should practice running while wearing shoes and on the race tracks for at least five to six months before thinking about whether he wants to continue,” he said. “I don't want him to go through what I did.”
But he still has the same dreams of one day wearing the India logo on his chest and running for his country.
“I want to go on with my practice, if not the 100m category then I can even move towards longer races as well,” he appealed.
“I request the sports ministry to help me. Here at home, I have no facilities that will help me in my training," he added. View the full article

not quite sure what to make of that just yet. But the railways have announced
that the 'Ramayana Express' will have a Ramyana theme, while playing
religious songs, so the passengers get the feel of travelling in a temple.
The train is

achievement and ended up announcing his participation in the Sports Authority
of India trials in the 100m race category.
I'll call Karnataka's Srinivasa Gowda for trials by top SAI Coaches. There's lack of knowledge in masses about the standards of Olympics especially in athletics where ultimate human strength & endurance are surpassed. I'll ensure that no talents in India is left out untested. https://t.co/ohCLQ1YNK0 â Kiren Rijiju (@KirenRijiju) February 15, 2020Ignorantly, everyone was relieved
as they felt the days of not being able to win an Olympic medal were finally
over. They put all the burden, all that weight of our countryâs history full of
failures at the greatest sporting stage of all time, on Srinivasa Gowdaâs
But kudos to him for being able
to stay in his senses during all the social media hype and respectfully
declining the SAIâs trial offer.
"I will meet the CM on
Monday. I am keen on continuing in
kambala," Gowda told TOI.
âFor the time being, I have no plans to appear for SAI trials. I am busy with
the kambala season and will consider meeting them following
that and after consulting my well-wishers,â he added.
Makes sense what he says. https://t.co/sgI7ZuA3Av â Neo B. (@neobluepanther) February 17, 2020If Gowda would have gone through
with the trials, untimely and without any practice under his feet, he would
have joined the long line of forgotten hidden talents that were given the
âopportunityâ to prove themselves in front of the entire world. Where is the âbarefoot runnerâ? Where
are the âgymnastic kidsâ? Nobody knows.
I am actually happy for the brave
jockey who did not sacrifice his profession as a kambala
athlete to become someone he wasnât meant to be. Letâs say even if he were to
one day try his hand at track racing, even then, the trials must happen when he
feels he is ready to participate, not when an organisation deems it fit. View the full article
