Back in 2007, Yuvraj smashed Broad for six consecutive sixes during India's clash against England at the ICC World T20 which was eventually won by India. With Yuvi and MS Dhoni at crease, a heated exchange with Andrew Flintoff an over earlier led to Yuvi's absolute carnage against Broad. Since then, the England pacer has often been trolled on the social media by cricket fans across the globe.
On Monday, the Indian cricket fans once again targeted poor Broad with funny jibes following Yuvraj's retirement from all forms of cricket. Here's are some of the funniest tweets:

One of India's greatest match-winners, Yuvraj Singh, has finally said goodbye to his international cricket career. Let's just say, it's the end of an era.
He is surely one of the most influential cricketers that India has ever seen. He fought all the battles that came along with the pressure of this game and today, he decided to hang his gloves on his illustrious career.

He has had his own set of struggles throughout his life and his career, but has always kept his spirits high.
He announced his retirement from international cricket in a press conference in Mumbai today where he finally said goodbye to his 19-year-long career. Yuvraj played 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20Is for India.

When he was making a comeback post his recovery from cancer, it wasn't easy for him as he had to prove that the cricketer in him had not faded away.
Finally, he is letting go of the pressure and baggage that came along with the game. It has been a roller-coaster ride for him.
MensXP got in touch with Yuvraj Singh's wife Hazel Keech to get clarity about his plans post-retirement.

And, with that, its the end of an era. Be proud of yourself husband, now onto the next chapter.... love you @yuvisofficial

When we asked about Yuvraj and Hazel's plans post his retirement, she told us, “He plans to work more on his charity and his fashion brand. The whole idea for the fashion brand was to create revenue for the charity. I have also been involved in charity. It's like a family-run thing with his mother and close friends being a part of it. We don't like to publicize that much. We also plan to create a platform for providing counselling to people who are going through cancer and their families. We are trying to set up at the moment. Now that he is retiring, I will be having a bit of time for myself, so I will pursue my acting career.”
Time and again, reports have been surfacing online that the two are expecting their first child together. We asked her if they are planning to start a family now, considering Yuvraj is off the pressure of international cricket. On this, she told us, “Whenever a baby comes along, we will happily welcome the new addition.”

For Yuvraj, things haven't really been easy and his battle with cancer changed his vision completely.
Yuvraj was diagnosed with a condition called extragonadal seminoma and this news came as nothing but a shock for all the cricket fans. But, he defeated cancer to make a comeback to the Indian squad.
In his tough times, his mother Shabnam Singh has been his greatest strength. We asked Hazel about Shabnam's reaction to his decision of retiring from international cricket.
“Last few years have been very difficult for Yuvraj and she has always been around. It is more difficult for her than him. He is kind of finally feeling relieved from the stress and pressure and expectation,” said Hazel.

Hazel is in a happy place because as his wife, she is relieved that Yuvraj can let go of all the baggage and pressure and begin a second innings.
“Everything he does, I am there to support him. I want him to be happy. I have been very clear with it if he isn't happy with something, he shouldn't. I want him to start enjoying his life. I think he is finally letting go of the baggage that he carried. He is in a good state now and I am thrilled about it,” Hazel said on an ending note.
June 16th 2019 is the day when we will all lose our peace and voice box collectively, cheering on India and Pakistan, who're playing against each other in the ICC World Cup 2019. Although, an India-Pakistan match fervour isn't old news, it's still celebrated and watched by everyone due to the history we've shared with Pakistan all along.
During the 2015 ICC World Cup, Star Sports came up with a campaign or theme for the promo of the Indo-Pak match and although it flew well with us Indians, the Pakistanis weren't too pleased with it. The 'Mauka Mauka' ads gained immense popularity amongst the masses and the theme caught on like common cold, all over the country.
This year, Mauka Mauka is back with a bang, and this time it's promoting the Indo-Pak match on the 16th of June 2019, the same day Father's day is celebrated all across the world and the advertisement has a 'slight' mention of that. As expected, the ad is humouring Pakistan's dismissal record against India in ICC events and it seems it's making the Pakistanis a tad angry, but really, no one cares because it's all in light humour.
Here, take a look at some savagery!
The video shows actor Vikas Malhotra who plays the Pakistan son remembering his father's words on how one should keep trying and never give up, and the Indian fan in the ad shows some savagery by taking the 'baap' dig on the Pakistani player. Obviously the Pakistanis showed a bit of resentment over the ad and aren't happy with the Mauka Mauka campaign, promoting the match between the two countries.

What's the most bizarre thing you've heard or experienced while boarding an aircraft or sitting inside one? I mean apart from the miles-high club, is there anything else that you may have found funny or alarming? Well, if not, here's something to feast your attention on.
A female passenger onboard a PIA flight opened the emergency door thinking it was the toilet and put the entire plane in to a frenzy. The woman had gotten up from her seat to use the toilet when the aircraft was on the runway of the Manchester airport early Saturday morning. She went ahead and pressed the emergency button which opened the exit door to the plane instead.
“The PIA flight, PK 702, from Manchester to Islamabad was delayed by seven hours. The departure was delayed on Friday night when a passenger erroneously opened the emergency exit causing the emergency chute to activate,” A PIA spokesperson told the press.
The incident took place when the plane was on the runway, ready to take off and all the passengers had to be offloaded from the plane, and their luggage was removed too. They were given hotels to stay in, as the flight was further delayed for seven hours. All because a woman couldn't read a sign that read 'Exit'.
“As per standard operating procedure, the PIA had to offload nearly 40 passengers and their luggage,” - The PIA spokesperson added.
Deploying an emergency slide during emergencies is not a very cheap ordeal for flights. The flights have to pay a huge amount of money, whenever the emergency chute is deployed, even though the emergency in this case was claimed while the plane was stationary.
Well, we can't decide if this incident is funny or rather sad. We do agree the passengers were left in grave inconvenience when their flight was delayed, but people really have to learn to read signs better.
If you look in to store windows, you'll always see perfectly carved mannequins looking at you, dressed in the latest fashion. You'd never see an 'out of shape' or a voluptuous body type that defies beauty standards on a mannequin. This certainly has created certain myths about how the world should actually perceive size and it's almost close to perfection, which shouldn't be the case to begin with.
A Nike store on Oxford Street in London recognised that and has now installed 'plus size' mannequins to maintain regular standards of a particular body type and the mannequins cater to all women with beautiful curves.

— Jess Golden (@JGolden5) 7 June 2019
Nike's sole aim is to promote inclusivity in sports because it's not exclusively for people who're fit or slim or have the best bodies but somehow that hasn't been a transparent aspect of any sport company and a 'perfect' body type is always projected through their adverts. Nike went a step ahead to show grassroots athletes in all body types, comfortable in their skin.
“To celebrate the diversity and inclusivity of sport, the space will not just celebrate local elite and grassroot athletes through visual content, but also show Nike plus size and para-sport mannequins for the first time on a retail space.” - a poplar publication reports the ideaology behind Nike's mannequin campaign.
People all over are rather impressed with what the brand is trying to promote, especially real women, who come in all shapes and sizes and work hard to keep fit and love their bodies.

We're living in times where people are looking for inclusivity everywhere because they don't want to fall prey to standard notions about how one should look or feel or even think. And with this campaign, Nike is setting a fine example of a future that's more malleable and inclusive than judgemental and biased.
EA decided to kick start the E3 2019 this year by showcasing the games that they're cooking for us this year. From the new Star Wars game to the Sims 4's new pack, EA made a ton of announcements at EA Play.
The star of the show, at least for us, was the new FIFA 20. Yes, this year's FIFA is going to be bigger and better than ever and EA is bringing back FIFA Street with FIFA 20.
Called 'Volta Football', it's essentially FIFA Street that used to be an old standalone title back in the days. Now EA is bringing it back as a game mode instead of releasing a new game altogether. Makes sense.
Volta Football is a part single-player, part multiplayer, a story-driven mode with a branch for team play. It's got everything you can expect from a standalone FIFA Street game. It also has Volta Kick-Off with which you can play with your favorite sides and stars if you want.
(c) Electronic Arts
In Volta, you can play 3v3, 4v4, or 5v5, each with different modes like Rush Football (no goalkeepers), and more. The Pitches and courts, as you can see, can be of varying sizes and in different locations around the world. From the rooftops of Tokyo to Amsterdam's underpass, you can choose to engage anywhere you want. It's also the first time men and women will be able to share a pitch in FIFA, and that by itself is a huge deal.
As a player, you'll also get a ton of customization options with which you'll be able to change a lot of things like shirts, boots, shorts, sweaters, and other vanity items.
(c) Electronic Arts
EA made it a point to focus primarily on the new Volta mode, but it's worth pointing out that the game will also have the normal game modes that we've come to expect and love from the previous titles. So think of the Volta mode like an addition to the existing stuff you could do in the game.
Well, the arrival of a Street mode was kind of inevitable since fans have been asking EA to bring back FIFA Street for a long time. By the way, 'Volta' is Portuguese for "return", which basically means EA is listening to player feedback. We're glad to have FIFA Street back and we hope EA has done justice to it.
FIFA 20 launches September 27 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.

She said, “The very first time I thought about breaking the world record was in October 2016 in my home, California. I graduated from high school two years early and had gotten an associate's degree from a local college. I was ready to start my gap year when I dropped the idea of going back to school and began to pursue the record full-time.”
And, she pays for everything herself as well: “I always knew I wanted to take time off to travel so I've been working every job I could find and saving since I was 12-years-old.”

I've also made sure to keep my monthly overhead as low as possible by living at home with my parents, I don't have a car payment or student debt and I don't spend my money on unnecessary material possessions.”

The words adventure and adrenaline rush mean different things for different people. For some, it could equal climbing the Everest, for others, it could mean drinking the night away before an important exam. However, the ultimate adventure, travelling to space, a dream filled with fear and inhibition for everyone might become a reality soon, only for the super-rich of course. Starting next year, NASA plans on beginning space tourism which will allow private astronauts, i.e guests to travel to outer space.
Today starts a new day in low-Earth orbit as we unlock the @Space_Station's potential as a platform for companies to engage in commercial profit-making activities and we welcome private astronauts to visit on U.S. vehicles. Get more details: https://t.co/lJnIlxaii7 pic.twitter.com/8sbi1lEzIn

To begin with, this travel is not going to take one to the Moon, but to NASA's international space station.NASA will tie up with private companies which will operate this orbit tour of 30 days. The guests will have to shell out close to 24 lakhs INR per night for this luxury. But no, that's not it folks. It has also tied up with Elon Musk's SpaceX, which will use its Dragon capsule, and Boeing, which is currently building a spacecraft called the Starliner. The taxi fare for this will be close to $ 60 million per flight! Crazy right? Well, the price is as crazy as the idea of vacationing in outer space.
The Indian borders are impenetrable and solid because of the mighty soldiers who hold down the fort at all times, never sparing a thought about themselves. These warriors in their camo-print armours put on such a display of bravado and selflessness that is matched only by a few others.
These superheroes set up their homes in the most remote areas of the country, or places with adverse climatic conditions, as they mark their territories and stand guard over it, should its borders be threatened.
Yet, not once do they complain about their working conditions or the constant onslaught of heat, rain and cold that they have to live through over a lifetime of their service for the nation and its people.
For instance, ANI reported a few hours ago that BSF jawans at the International Border are reeling under the heat wave that has struck the area. As the mercury rises with every passing day, the resolve these jawans hold in their heart only grows stronger.
Talking about the heat, and how they survive through hours under the relentless sun, a jawan told the news agency, "People in the country are sleeping with an assurance that we are at the border. So, whatever may be the weather condition we are always on the alert."
Such are these men of might, who go beyond their call of duty every single day to ensure all of us can enjoy the peace and security that they bring into our lives, at the cost of theirs. No amount of danger, painful weather conditions or threat can deter these heroes, and we are grateful every day for their selflessness and bravery.
After waiting for more than a week since their warm-up match against Bangladesh, the Indian cricket team finally made their ICC World Cup 2019 debut against Faf du Plessis' South African team and played a wonderful game of ODI cricket in chasing a minimal yet tricky mark of 228.

For someone who began his career as a middle-order batsman, Rohit Sharma has come into his own ever since MS Dhoni and the Indian team management identified him as a threatening opening batsman. Over the years, batting at the top, Rohit has not only turned his career around, but also provided India the luxury of an indispensable opener.
A vital cog in the Indian batting line-up, Rohit came into the ICC World Cup with a lot of expectations on his shoulders. With his team tipped as one of the top contenders this year, the right-hander was quite understandably bestowed with the responsibility of getting them to a good start. And, on 5th June, Rohit, once again, proved why he is rated so highly by the Indian team management and all the cricket experts across the globe.
Beginning their campaign against a team of South Africa's calibre was never going to be easy, but a spectacular show by the Indian bowling unit did tilt the game in favour of the 'Men in Blue'. Impressive figures by Yuzvendra Chahal (4-51) and Jasprit Bumrah (2-35) ensured that the Proteas were restricted to a mediocre total of 227 runs at the loss of nine wickets.
Though the target appeared mediocre, but if anyone saw the conditions and pitch behave in the first-half of the match, they'd agree that it was going to take some doing for India to register their first points in the tournament. And, that's exactly what happened.
Against the searing pace and impeccable lengths of sprinting Kagiso Rabada, the Indian openers looked far from being comfortable with both Shikhar Dhawan (8) and Rohit struggling early on. After the game of cat and mouse, pressure got to Dhawan as he edged one off Rabada through to Quinton de Kock behind the stumps.
With the Proteas quicks smelling blood, the Indian side needed their batsmen at the crease to oversee the troublesome times and apply themselves in a bid to stitch a partnership - something Rohit and Virat Kohli (18) tried to do following Dhawan's dismissal. The duo added 41 runs for the second wicket and were eager to stabilise India's run-chase when Andile Phehlukwayo struck to send Kohli packing - courtesy a spectacular catch by De Kock.
With his captain back in the hut, Rohit put his best foot forward and decided to carry the baton for his side. The Mumbai batsman gave himself enough time at the crease to settle in and, unlike his teammates, he didn't force his shots against the odd ball. On the other hand, Rohit was also impressive in rotating the strike which allowed him, and in turn India, to stitch strong partnerships.
After partnering Kohli, Rohit was involved in an 85-run partnership for the third wicket with KL Rahul (26) who looked good for the better part of his innings in the much-debated No. 4 slot. But, Rahul's dismissal in the 32nd over at the hands of Rabada once again got India in a spot of bother.
Top century from Rohit Sharma. Composed, relaxed. Rode the early tension well and has been a picture of certainty since
— Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) June 5, 2019
Unnerved by the pressure, Rohit continued to steer the chase for India after finding some support from MS Dhoni (34). The two experienced batsmen added 74 runs for the fourth wicket and almost nullified the threat Rabada & co. posed in the middle. As the game neared its end, India lost Dhoni, but Rohit's presence in the middle ensured the team remained on track.
While the winning runs came from the blade of swashbuckling Hardik Pandya (15*), it was arguably Rohit's superlative knock of 122 runs including 10 fours and two sixes that made the difference.
Calm ,composed and a wonderful century from @ImRo45 ! Fantastic understanding of the situation !
— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) June 5, 2019
On a track where batsmen from both sides struggled to get going, Rohit showed great composure and temperament in his match-winning innings. Curbing his natural, aggressive game, Rohit adapted to the conditions and sacrificed certain shots from his armoury to ensure his survival at the crease. Owing to experience and know-how of the game, the Indian opener got his team over the line and notched up his second World Cup hundred and get India off to a winning start in the tournament.
A wonderful, mature innings from Rohit Sharma. Great assessment of the situation and seeing India through to the win in the end, a hallmark of top players @ImRo45 . A well begun World Cup campaign for Team India #INDvSA pic.twitter.com/Hmul57c4BO

It was also Rohit's 23rd ODI hundred which allowed him to go past Sourav Ganguly (22) in the list of India's all-time top hundred makers in the 50-over format. He is now placed third in the elite list with just Sachin Tendulkar (49) and Kohli (41) ahead of him.
Following their emphatic six-wicket triumph, the Kohli brigade will hope that Rohit continues his fine run when they take the field against Australia in the much-anticipated clash at The Oval on 9th June.
Going into the tournament, fans and experts had identified a handful of players who would go to play a crucial role in Team India's campaign at the ICC World Cup. The first and most obvious candidate is of course captain Virat Kohli whose batting prowess and leadership skills are expected to get his team all the way.
Amongst other probables who were expected to make a mark, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal were also looked upon as key players for India. While everyone expected Bumrah to do the damage with his searing pace and precision in line and lengths early on, Chahal was bestowed with the responsibility of doing the damage with his cunning variations in the middle order - a script that dictated South Africa's fate in their clash in Southampaton on 5th June.
Winning the toss and deciding to bat, the Proteas were, to an extent, conned into believing that the conditions were suited for batting and posting a formidable total upfront. But, popular to contrary perception, the South African batting unit was picked apart by a spectacular show from Bumrah and Chahal.
It all began in the fourth over, when Bumrah's tight angle got Hashim Amla (6) stuck into a stop-shot, eventually forcing an outside edge that went straight into the hands of Rohit Sharma at second slip. In his next over, Bumrah's cunning plan - with adequate support from Kohli - led to the dismissal of Quinton de Kock (10).
With their side reeling at 24/2, South Africa needed a strong partnership which eventually came through the efforts of and Faf du Plessis (38) and Rassie van der Dussen (22). With the two Proteas batsmen rebuilding their innings by adding 54 runs for the third wicket, India needed to counter the potential threat. And, that's when Chahal's spin wizardry came to the fore.
In what arguably turned out to be one of the deliveries of the tournament, Chahal's drift and rip on the ball turned Van der Dussen into a laughing stock after his reverse-sweep led to a dismissal. It was undeniably a vital breakthrough, but Chahal wasn't done yet. In fact, the Indian leg-spinner had another gem of a delivery up his sleeves for opposition captain Du Plessis who was outfoxed in a classic spinner's dismissal.

At the other end, his spin-bowling partner Kuldeep Yadav, too, joined the party and dismissed JP Duminy (3) in the 23rd over after wrapping him in front of the stumps. Though Duminy went for the review, but even the DRS couldn't save him following his poor shot-selection.
Despite two wickets in his kitty, Chahal's breakthrough act continued as he once again helped his side in breaking the partnership. David Miller (31) and Andile Phehlukwayo (34) had added 46 runs for the sixth wicket when Chahal removed the former in a simple caught and bowled dismissal in the 36th over.
Few overs later, Chahal struck again to send Phehlukwayo back into the hut after foxing him in the length to allow MS Dhoni to complete a regulation stumping. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, too, got his name under the wickets column after claiming the scalps of Chris Morris (42) and Imran Tahir (0) in the final over as the Proteas crumbled to 227/9 in 50 overs.
While every Indian bowler contributed in their own way, it was undoubtedly Bumrah and Chahal whose impressive figures of 2-35 and 4-51 respectively earned them plaudits from fans and pundits alike.
Fantastic effort by the bowlers to restrict South Africa to 227. Bumrah began exceptionally and the wrist spinners capitalised, Chahal was superb in his 10 overs and I back India to chase down this total. #INDvSA

After patiently waiting for seven days in the tournament, the Indian cricket team finally started their campaign at the ICC World Cup against South Africa in Southampton on 5th June. While the Indian fans were forced to wait to see their team in action, the late start for 'Men in Blue' at the ICC spectacle also meant that they had enough time to prepare - something that was in full display at the Rose Bowl stadium.
Losing the toss, the Indian team found themselves bowling against the South African batting line-up, focussed on piling up a big score in a bid to record their first win in three games. But, it wasn't meant to be - thanks to a spectacular bowling performance by India.
With Jasprit Bumrah getting his angles and seam movement to trouble the South African openers early on, everyone knew that a wicket was around the corner. While many suspected Quinton de Kock to became the first victim, it was Hashim Amla who eventually turned out to be the first scalp for Bumrah.
In the fourth over, Bumrah's good length delivery, pitched just outside off, forced Amla to defend from the crease - a mistake that was eventually going to cost South Africa their first wicket. Deploying his defensive push, Amla couldn't help but edge the ball through towards the second slip where anxious Rohit Sharma got down just in time to grab it cleanly.
It was a beautifully set-up dismissal where the bowler's line and length combined perfectly with the field setting, deployed in anticipation of the opposition batsman's shot. If Bumrah's early breakthrough got the Indian fans on the edge of their seats, Rohit's unique celebration after taking the catch doubled the fun on social media.

We're going to talk about an age old dating trend which has found a new name and is incessant in its occurrence and let's face it, can be quite lethal. We're talking about 'Love Bombing' and it's the worst manipulative move in today's dating game. No, love bombing isn't bombarding someone with love. Well, not entirely. It's a lot more than that.
Love bombing is an emotionally abusive situation in a relationship where the victim goes through manipulative withdrawal after being showered with love and affection. The victims are usually people who have gone through emotionally strung out, abusive relationships in the past and haven't worked on changing their particular pattern; hence they get manipulated easily into another damaging relationship, because they haven't worked on their past issues.
Such people attract relationships with narcissistic folks, making them vulnerable to the concept of love bombing.
It's basically a weapon disguised as affection and you may get a lot of it from the person who is love bombing you, but her ultimate motive is to manipulate you in to believing it's all real.
So, in order to avoid being love-bombed, especially when you've just come out of a serious relationship, here's what you can do:
(1) Take Things Very Slow
One major fact about love bombers are they will get under your skin and your psyche way too quickly. They will give their all, in little time and suddenly it'll feel like this fits perfectly well. Because love is blind, quite literally and before you know it, after a boatload of love and affection they will show you a side you were never privy to before. While giving you the attention that you always craved for, they also shower you with gifts, which in most cases is a transactional process for them. All these moves are quite calculative and well thought out, before they start withdrawing and showing you their true colours (mostly their abusive and controlling side) before the romance starts to fizzle out.
So, in order to avoid that situation, take it slow at first and make sure you know the person fairly well, before you're drawn or lured in to their trap. Love bombers are impatient people. They want everything to go rather quickly so you have to take your own time to figure what you need to and in case they bail, because you were taking your time, they were worth it to begin with.
(2) Don't Delve Into Future-Talks
Love bombers love talking about the future, in little to no time. You may feel you have found the right person who is giving you everything you've ever desired including making future plans with you. From wedding plans to how many kids you both want to have, everything will be laid straight out like the best made plans. But there's a catch. Future talks with a love bomber are sure shot signs of red flag. It's tricky because love bombers trick you into believing they are an important part of your life and indispensable to your future happiness.
Make sure you don't indulge in any future plans with them, until you're sure and significant time has gone by and you've figured out their true intention. Otherwise they will leave you with a million dreams for the future and disappear.
(3) If They Start To Seem Difficult, Leave
A few traits you can't miss when you're with a narcissistic love bomber is that they will play on your insecurities, their unreasonable demands and expectations will increase, things will obviously start to fizzle out and the relationship will feel like a constant emotional-merry-go-round. These are the signs you need to watch out for, when things start getting a little too aggressive and abrupt and leave. Save yourself some hurt and recognise these patterns. You will know how they treat you, which will be very different from how anyone in a 'normal' relationship would.
Most times it's a human tendency to feel good about oneself and attract people who make people feel good about themselves. Sometimes people go through heavily abusive relationships and make it a pattern to attract people who will behave the same way the others have in the past, with them. The solution is to break the pattern and introspect as to why you let certain people into your life.
Love bombing is one of the most toxic forms of abuse and if you realise the traces early on, you can definitely break away and live without the unnecessary toxicity. Or just pay attention to the pointers mentioned above and be at guard with love bombers who may come your way.
Salman Khan's much awaited Eid mega-release 'Bharat' is here, and as expected, everyone attended the premiere. As impressed as we were with most outfits, one particular outfit made us take a closer look. We are talking about the debonair stylemaster Jackie Shroff, who even at 62, doesn't hesitate to experiment with unusual elements.1
(c) Viral Bhayani
The first thing we noticed about Jaggu Dada's outfit of course is the fact that it looked very similar to what Salman Khan himself wore - an all black ensemble (sort of, with very dark jeans that had about a dozen of zippers).
(c) Viral Bhayani
As dapper as both of them looked in their cowboy-ish retro fare, Mr Shroff stood out because of a very strange accessory. He wore as a brooch, what looked like a carrot (or is it a turnip?) Well it's not an 'actual' vegetable, but a rather convincing specimen. What is it doing on his chest? What does it mean? Does it have a secret message? Is it a symbol for something? We have so many questions!
(c) Viral Bhayani
(c) Viral Bhayani
We'll just make peace with the assumption that he's just using it as an unusual accessory. Now, we are all for unusual accessories, but this is one piece that stands out simply because how playfully weird it is, and even though it seemingly doesn't belong right there with the outfit, Jackie Shroff is making it work effortlessly. Talk about outstyling Bhai, that too on Eid.
Bharat Movie Cast: Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff, Sonali Kulkarni, Disha Patani, Satish Kaushik
Bharat Movie Director: Ali Abbas Zafar
Bharat Movie Rating: 4/5
Salman Khan and Eid go hand in hand. Ever wondered why Salman's fans celebrate his every movie like a big festival? Well, you might not find any probable answer to this, but it's a given that his followers treat his movies like the most-awaited event of the season, and with good reason too.
This time, the audience has been served with a mixed bowl of emotions and actions on their platter with 'Bharat' and when you have Ali Abbas Zafar as a director, you know the movie has a lot to offer.
'Bharat' will make you laugh, cry and even feel patriotic at the same time. The basic root of the film is the tragic story of those who lost their loved ones when a bunch of 'corrupt politicians' decided to cut through 'Bharat' and make it India and Pakistan.
If you are thinking of investing your money and time into 'Bharat', then you can probably go ahead, because it won't disappoint you at all.
There is a chance you could feel a sense of deja vu, as you might get a rush of memories from Salman's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' days, as there is a similar element of emotion and patriotism.
In all honesty, 'Bharat' is the perfect Eidi after the disastrous sob-fest that was 'Race 3' (no offence to the makers, clearly).
'Bharat' is an official adaptation of a South Korean drama 'Ode to my Father' (2014).
The movie shows Salman in five avatars, dating from 1947 to 2010. So, the young Bharat is separated from his father and sister during the Indo-Pak partition in 1947, after which he dedicates his entire life to the one promise that he made to his father (played by Jackie Shroff), that he will always take care of his family.
Of course, goes without saying that 'Bharat' is an absolute treat for those who have been dying to see Katrina Kaif and Salman on the big screen together again. The chemistry between the two is simply brilliant, and their cute banter throughout the movie will make you question if they are equally close off-screen as well.
Katrina, in terms of acting, has surely come a long way. Those who have seen 'Zero' would agree with my statement. Katrina, in 'Bharat', is free-spirited and bold and people are bound to love this avatar of hers.
If you're wondering about Salman's performance, then you probably should see the film for yourself, because if I tell you, I reckon I would be stealing your joy of watching Bhai in all his glory.
The cherry on the cake has to be Sunil Grover, and in every sense, he finally has his perfect big Bollywood movie. Ali has made sure that Sunil's character doesn't fade or lose focus before Salman's presence.
Disha Patani makes a brief period appearance but still manages to impress you with her killer looks and moves.
Every character in the movie is justified and why not? It's an Ali Abbas Zafar movie after all.
Yes, the movie is lengthy and just before the interval, you might feel that it is a bit stretched, but don't worry, 'Bharat' picks up the pace rather soon again.
The movie is not limited to just the love story between Bharat and Kumud (Katrina Kaif). It recounts significant historic instances of our nation, like the 1947 partition, Jawaharlal Nehru's death, the 1983 Cricket World Cup, liberalization, and yes, even globalization.
The score of the movie has done a brilliant job in keeping up with changing eras and gives the audience the perfect feel of a rapidly progressing nation.
Just like any movie, 'Bharat' is also not perfect and has its own decent share of flaws. However, it does not leave you disappointed or feeling unsatisfied.
So, book your tickets and watch this Salman movie. Try not to overanalyze everything you see and you are bound to come out of the hall feeling sated!
If there's anything that Bollywood is known for, apart from acting, controversies and gym pictures, it's the larger-than-life weddings of our beloved celebrities.
'Sonam Ki Shadi' (Sonam-Anand), 'Nickyanka' or 'Prick' (Nick-Priyanka) wedding, 'DeepVeer ki Shadi' (Deepika-Ranveer) or Virushka (Virat-Anushka) wedding; are a few prominent examples we've seen recently.
From their glittering wedding ceremonies and honeymoon destinations, their wedding date, designer outfits to even their wedding cakes; their fans want to know every little detail and the celebrities happily oblige by sharing them.
However, there are some celebrities who chose to go low-key and got secretly married to their respective partners, away from media glare and glamour:
1. Neha Dhupia - Angad Bedi
When everyone was busy talking about Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding, Neha Dhupia secretly got married to her best friend and actor Angad Bedi. The couple got married according to Sikh traditions at a gurudwara in New Delhi. People found out only after she posted pictures from her wedding on social media.
2. Himesh Reshammiya - Sonia Kapoor
Taking the legacy of secret weddings ahead, singer Himesh Reshammiya got married to his long-time girlfriend Sonia Kapoor. Reshammiya shared the news and the first images from the wedding, with his fans on Instagram, with the caption “Togetherness is bliss!”
Reportedly the wedding took place at his home, in a traditional Hindu ceremony and was attended by his friends and family.
3. Rochelle Rao - Keith Sequeira
'Bigg Boss 9' sweethearts Rochelle and Keith, surprised their fans when they secretly got married in a hush-hush beach-style wedding in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. Keith and Rochelle are proof that emotions, feelings and love can never be scripted, even if it's a reality show.
4. Ishita Dutta - Vatsal Seth
The moment Ishita and Vatsal's wedding pictures started surfacing, most of their fans thought they are shooting for a new TV show. Honestly, if you too thought the same, trust me you're not alone. The couple got married at ISKON Temple in Juhu, Mumbai. While Vatsal is best known as Ajay Devgn's son in 'Tarzan', Ishita, who is Tanushree Dutta's younger sister, made her Bollywood debut with 'Drishyam'.
5. Lisa Haydon - Dino Lalwani
Lisa Haydon broke millions of hearts when she secretly got married to her boyfriend Dino Lalvani. They got married in 2016 in a beach-style wedding, that was attended only by close family and friends.
