10 Ways To Identify If You're The Leonard From 'The Big Bang Theory' Of Your Group

'The Big Bang Theory' may be famous for Sheldon Cooper, who without a doubt is the king of quirk, but it also gave us Leonard Hofstadter, the guy who was at the centre of everything, who made nerds look cool, who gave all men the hope that they could land the woman of their dreams. via GIPHY From being a pure badass who stood up to his school bully to going after a woman way out of his league and winning her over by just being himself, Leonard slowly and steadily made his way into our hearts. via GIPHY In a group of friends, there is always a person like Leonard who looks out for his friends and take things in his stride when need be. Are you the Leonard of the group? via GIPHY Here are 10 points that can help you in identifying if you indeed are main man of your gang: 1. You're The Unofficial Leader Of Your Group via GIPHY Basically you are the glue that holds the group together. From making plans to deciding major things for the rest of the gang, you take the important calls and somehow end up taking care of everyone. 2. You Are Too Hard On Yourself via GIPHY You can't help but pick on your weaknesses and go over it again and again until you feel pretty crappy about yourself. You feel the need to be perfect and sometimes get a complex when you see someone, who you think is better than you. 3. You Go Out Of Your Way For Your Best Friend via GIPHY Literally. Be it financially, or saving him in awkward situation, you never leave your bro hanging and treat him like your brother. 4. You Can Be Savage If Need Be via GIPHY Sure you are nice guy, but there are times when your friends push the wrong buttons and you find yourself shutting them down in the most savage way possible. It's a rare occurrence, but when it happens, oh boy, the gang better prepare themselves. 5. You Can Transform From A Shy Guy To A Sexy Beast via GIPHY Usually you maintain your calm, shy persona when you're around the gang, but if need be, you can go through a major personality change for the ladies! 6. You Find Yourself Making Sacrifices For Your Friends via GIPHY You don't mind making those sacrifices, to be honest. At the end of the day, the happiness of your friends is the most important thing for you, and if that means making some tough choices for yourself, then you don't mind that. 7. Your Friends Are Your Family via GIPHY Each member in your gang is special and means something to you. Besides taking care and protecting them, you see them as your second family, which basically makes them an extremely important part of your life. 8. You Tend To Panic Pretty Quickly via GIPHY One of the problems that come with taking charge of the group is that there is a lot riding on you. Which can sometimes make you feel like you're losing control of certain situations, which can result in you freaking the f**k out. 9. You'll Do Anything For The Woman You Love via GIPHY Even if she is your girlfriend, or just a woman you adore from afar, you are willing to go above and beyond for her. Sometimes the adoration can go a little too far and you end up getting clingy and let her walk all over you, but that's part of your charm! 10. You're A Badass Despite Your Weaknesses via GIPHY Simply put…you're the boss! People may make fun of your looks, your quirks and what not, but deep down, they know you're a badass who is the centre of your group.

5 Highest Grossing Superhero Movies In The World & Yes, They're All From The MCU

Superhero movies may be condemned for their high use of CGI and less of dramatic or real-life plots, but the same genre entertains a huge chunk of audiences across the globe. This fact is quite evident in the box office collections of the films in this genre.  All the top five films finding their place in the highest-grossing list belong to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has crossed $17 billion collectively from 20 films to date.  1. Avengers – Infinity War Box Office - $2.038 billion as of 9th July 2018 No surprises here, as we all know 'Avengers: Infinity War' was the first of its kind and one of the most ambitious superhero films to date, drawing storylines from 18 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).  It broke every box-office opening record to date with quite a huge margin. Let us have a look at the box-office records created by 'Avengers Infinity War' – . Biggest worldwide opening weekend and single weekend gross – $640.5 million beating Fate of The Furious' $541.9 million . Biggest opening weekend in the United States and Canada – $257.7 million . Fastest to cross $1 billion worldwide in 11 days and $1.5 billion in 18 days . Highest grossing superhero movie and of 2018 – $2.038 billion as of 9th July 2018 . Highest number of 4DX admissions. It was the first movie to reach two million admissions . Fourth highest grossing film of all time as of 9th July 2018 It also created a splash in India by becoming the highest grossing Hollywood film to date with INR 225 crores surpassing Disney's 'The Jungle Book' at the box office and the first ever to cross INR 200 crores. 2. The Avengers Box Office - $1.519 billion The film from where everything in MCU began to shape up. 'The Avengers' brought a team of six superheroes – Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Hawkeye, together for the first time, fighting against Loki and the alien invaders, Chitauris. At the time of release, 'Avengers' not only crossed $1.519 billion in global receipts but also went on to become the third highest-grossing film of all time. 3. Avengers – Age of Ultron Box Office - $1.405 billion The second instalment in the Avengers franchise, 'Age of Ultron' brought chaos in the city of Slovakia with the artificial intelligence defense program – Ultron. Though the movie met with a polarized reception from audiences and critics alike, as it fell short of the audience's expectations, it still raked in $1.405 billion globally.  The film debuted at the 5th position in the highest-grossing films at the time of its release and presently stands at the 8th position. 4. Black Panther Box Office - $1.346 billion The highest grossing superhero origins movie of all time with an all-black cast, 'Black Panther' defied all box office expectations and went on to become the 9th highest-grossing film with 1.346 billion box-office collections worldwide.  It also went on to become the 3rd highest grossing film in the United States and Canada with $699.88 million only after 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' and 'Avatar'. 5. Iron Man 3 Box Office - $1.215 billion Following the gigantic success of 'The Avengers', Marvel found itself facing the huge task to fulfil fans' expectations, and no other superhero could replicate the success single-handedly, except for Iron Man.  Shane Black directed 'Iron Man 3' which collected $1.215 billion at the global box office, riding high on the success of 'The Avengers' and also kick-started the second-phase in the MCU.

5 Reasons Why DC Is Better Than Marvel Even Though The Box Office Numbers Say Otherwise

When it comes to superheroes, most of us have our favourites from either Marvel or DC. This is a rivalry that was created long back and will always be open to debate.  When it comes to movies, Marvel is the clear winner, if we consider box office performances, while DC is struggling with scripts.  The last movies of a DC superhero that I truly loved was the Batman Trilogy, although they weren't the part of DC cinematic universe. Despite the below par performance of DC movies, I still enjoy them more than I enjoy the ones by Marvel, though.  Following are the reasons which strengthen my argument that DC is better than Marvel: 1. Character Depth It was a delight to see the transformation of Bruce Wayne from the 'Batman Trilogy to 'Batman vs. Superman'. Where Nolan's Bruce was younger and more optimistic, DCEU's Bruce was mature and slightly darker. This transformation was brilliantly scripted because usually when we see a superhero, there's hardly any change in the character. But the character development here was astonishing and overwhelming. © Warner Bros. This is where Marvel lacks. Except for suits & the beard of Captain America, Marvel has barely changed anything in its superheroes. The cocky-ness of Iron Man is great but eventually, it gets boring seeing it again and again. 2. Toughness I would like to blame Disney for this one. Remember 'The Incredible Hulk'? He was scary! One would think twice before messing with him. Then Disney came into the picture & suddenly the Hulk turned into a PG-13 version of his former self. © Universal Pictures What we saw after that was a soft Hulk and a series of 'childish' movies. Apart from Logan, no other movie of a Marvel superhero is good enough for an adult fan.  They are soft, the storyline is not deep, and they barely scratch the surface when it comes to dark villains. Against the entire MCU, just one guy from DC is enough – Superman. 3. Posters Posters from Marvel movies are, well, boring! They are clean, quiet & again, lack the depth. On the other hand, posters from DC movies are stirring and dark, like the franchise itself. © Marvel From the Marvel posters, we get the feel of a family film which we should watch with kids. And that is certainly not a compliment if you're a diehard superhero fan. 4. Embracing The Dark Side Marvel is all about fighting against villains and saving the world. DC is much more than that. DC openly shows the struggles of superheroes. Remember 'Justice League'? Batman knew he was old now. Contrary to his popular belief, he accepted he can't work alone. © Warner Bros. Remember 'Wonder Woman'? The movie was more about her internal struggle to stay home or to be set free in the outside world and less about defeating the villain. You don't see such depths in Marvel movies. Maybe in 'Infinity War', but it was still an 'Ohh, there's a bad guy. Let's defeat him' kinda movie. Marvel needs to grow up! 5. TV Series If we compare the first season of 'Arrow' and 'Daredevil', the former was way better. I'll tell you why! 'Arrow' developed the character from scratch. There was a background associated with each and every move that he learned. A flashback where we got to see how our superhero learned various techniques and his struggles to survive torturous conditions. © The CW When I watched 'Daredevil', all I found was some blind guy who trained some blind kid. That's it! There was no 'how.' That's why I found Season 1 of 'Daredevil' to be one of the most overrated seasons. To sum it up, Marvel lacks maturity. It is no longer the world where superheroes are just for kids. I can't say that I could ever find Iron Man better than Batman, but at least Marvel can try to make films keeping the adult audience in mind.

6 Times Charlie Harper's 'Words of Wisdom' Were Just What We Needed To Hear

When it comes to being a Casanova, most of you would name Barney Stinson from 'How I Met Your Mother', while some of you would name Joey Tribbiani from 'Friends'. But there was a man who did it all with barely any effort and knew how to use his strengths.  Charlie Harper from 'Two and a Half Men! The Man, the legend, the myth! We can't completely call it a fictional character, as Charlie Sheen, who played Charlie Harper, was not that different from his on-screen avatar in real life. Perhaps that's why he just nailed the role.  Sex, booze, drugs, and gambling are the character's hobby. In a world which is full of competition, Charlie picked up girls better than the guys in deodorant advertisements. Let's see what we can learn from him:  1. Live Like There's No Tomorrow © Warner Bros. If one thing Charlie knew apart from picking up women was how to party. The man drank like a fish and had a life with no regrets. Be it women, pot, cigars, drinks, he did it all with an open heart. But he never let it affect his work. The man knew the importance of money and always managed to make it in abundance. The lesson here is, live like there's no tomorrow but earn like you might live for a hundred years. 2. Use Your Assets Wisely © Warner Bros. Women find kids adorable and Charlie certainly knew it. The man used his nephew to pick up women countless times. Be it in a grocery store or convincing him to take belly dancing lessons, just so he could have a date with the instructor, he didn't miss one single chance. If you want to succeed in life, know what your assets are and use them wisely. 3. Relationships © Warner Bros. Most of us fall with the idea of being in a relationship, and not with the person. Charlie taught us to wait, have fun, and eventually, you'll know when the right person comes along. It's better to wait than to settle down with the wrong person. Be sure that you want to actually spend the rest of your life with the person you're going to propose. Don't rush into anything. 4. Family Is Everything © Warner Bros. No matter how much he made fun of his brother, he always took care of him. He even broke up his engagement for his brother's sake. And the way he was a role model to his nephew, despite his shortcomings, was commendable. Charlie's relationship with his mother wasn't smooth and yet he managed to be there for her, every time she actually needed him. For him, if you look deeply, HIS family came first. Same should be the case with you. 5. Sense of Humour © Warner Bros. We are aware of Chandler Bing's sense of humour & sarcasm but if anyone used it correctly to pick up women, it was Charlie. Be it making fun of someone, or making a woman laugh or a cruel comeback to his mother's comments, he was quite the master at it. © Warner Bros. Watch the series, you'll definitely pick up some funny pick-up lines. 6. The I-Don't-Give-A-Fuck-Attitude © Warner Bros. No matter what happened, Charlie always did what he wanted to do. He was single on his own terms, got engaged on his own terms and broke the engagement on his own terms.  People called him a degenerate man-whore who fell into a pot of money, but he didn't care. He lived the way he wanted to and was never bothered by the fact that what 'people' might say.

5 Overrated TV Series That Deserve A Much Lower IMDB Rating

There are series which are great and loved by many. Then there are some which are just blindly loved and there's nothing great about them. But for one reason or the other, they get a hold of the audiences' nerve and become quite popular, despite being just an average show.  Following are 5 such shows which got way more attention than they deserved: 1. Arrested Development With an IMDB rating of 9, this show is supposed to be great. Not 'FRIENDS' level great, but still, great enough to get you hooked and make you laugh. After all, that is what a sitcom's primary objective is. But it fails to even make you chuckle on most occasions. This sitcom certainly isn't funny enough to get a 9 rating on IMDB. The storyline is fine at best, the acting is passable, but at times it seems more like a drama series than a comedy. 2. 13 Reasons Why This is one of the slowest TV series I have ever watched. I am not saying slow TV shows are bad, I am a huge fan of 'True Detective' – Season 1, but slow does not mean it can't be gripping.  '13 Reasons Why' got by solely because of its novelty. The concept is good, but the storyline isn't. This show is like Priya Prakash Varrier, got famous for no reason whatsoever. It should have been rated around 6, instead of 8.1. 3. Daredevil – Season 1 I'm going to get a lot of heat on this one, but hear me out! I loved 'Daredevil' Season 2, thanks to the Punisher. The reason I found season 1 just average is that it lacks character development.  When you're showing a superhero series from the scratch, it should answer the 'how & why' questions about the superhero's strengths, which it failed to do miserably. All we see is a blind man who trained a blind kid to fight like no one else can. There is no 'how' behind this story. If you've seen the first couple of seasons of 'Arrow', you'll know what I am saying.  From punching a guy to aiming the arrow with precision, every cool move that was shown in the 'Arrow' was associated with the background of how he learned it. That is how a good superhero series should be. You shouldn't leave the character development to the audiences' imagination. 4. Parks and Recreations I couldn't bear this one for more than a few episodes. A series with an 8.6 rating should be good since the start. But it isn't. It isn't funny, the storyline is weird, and it seems that the show was simply riding on the pivotal character of Leslie Knope, played by the delightful Amy Poehler.   Usually, this happens after a few seasons where the network can't find a good direction to take the story forward, but still stretches the show just because of its popularity. 'Parks and Recreation' gave me that feeling in the first episode itself. 5. House of Cards This show definitely does not deserve a 9 IMDB rating! Apart from some stellar instances of acting, the show simply doesn't have anything else to offer. The storyline isn't good, the plot is weak, and the content isn't gripping. One character alone does not make a show. After I watched the first 4 episodes, I couldn't force myself to watch anymore. And now, with Kevin Spacey being kicked out of the show, the series has blessedly reached its finale!

A Fisherman Was Gifted A New SUV For Offering To Be A Human Stepping Stone During Kerala Floods

When Kerala was battling with one of the worst floods in the state's history, the world saw some real heroes in action, who were neither wearing any cape nor any metallic suit or powerful weapons. All they carried with them was courage, bravery and a strong will to rescue each and every person who was stuck in the deluge.   One such brave hero was this fisherman Jaisal, who knelt down on all fours in knee-deep water, and offered his back to the women to climb onto the rescue boat. This man commands our respect for this heartwarming gesture.   Twitter Although, no amount of words or actions are enough to salute the efforts of the volunteers, NDRF members, Indian Navy, Army, fishermen and the local police during the rescue operations; people are doing their bit to thank these unsung heroes. Social media was already filled with praise and good wishes for Jaisal, now Mahindra and its dealer in Kerala called Eram Motors have rewarded him with a brand new Mahindra Marazzo for his heroic efforts.  Twitter The car's key was officially handed over to Jaisal by Kerala Excise and Labour minister TP Ramachandran. Jaisal said that the situation, where he saw women facing a difficulty in climbing onto the boat, prompted him to do it. He didn't do it for any fame or reward.  Anand Mahindra too tweeted about this kind gesture.  ððð https://t.co/kWNgIbCW59 — anand mahindra (@anandmahindra) September 9, 2018 Jaisal was overjoyed after he recieved the gift and said that he will use it for social good in the future too. The world needs more selfless and brave people like Jaisal who don't think twice before risking their lives to save others.

Sumeet Vyas Has Finally Found His Permanent Roommate & His Love Story Is So 'Coooool'

I can't refer you to people from whom you can get relationship advice. I can't give you any suggestions on impressing your crush. I can't talk about 1001 ways to propose to someone either, but I can tell about one guy you shouldn't take any relationship advice from nor learn how to propose someone.  I am talking about Mikesh, the goofiest and funniest guy from 'Permanent Roommates'. If you have seen the series, you will know what I am talking about. How can we forget Mikesh's epic proposal fail? Although Mikesh's proposal was a disaster and he does not really tick all the boxes when it comes to being an ideal man, actor Sumeet Vyas is quite the opposite in real life and has the most beautiful love story to share.  Instagram Actor Sumeet Vyas, who was last seen in 'Veere Di Wedding' is all set to get married to actress Ekta Kaul on September 15 and recently spoke with 'Humans Of Bombay' about his love story and what made him realise that Ekta is the one for her. Ekta wasn't bothered by the fame and the insane popularity Sumeet enjoyed. In fact, she wasn't affected even after watching 'Permanent Roommates'.  View this post on Instagram Unbeatable filter #happyfilter #nofilter â¤ï¸ ð¤ð» A post shared by Sumeet Vyas (@sumeetvyas) on Jul 26, 2018 at 7:39am PDT While talking about love, he said, "It's not one big moment when you know you've met 'the one'. It's how they make you feel everyday; if they make you a better person. And she does. But one stand out moment was last year during holi! I rode my motorcycle to a party and had a little bit of bhang. I was in no state to ride. She saw that and took the keys –I thought she was joking! I mean it was a Bullet! But she just got on and off we went, me in the backseat and my lady driving the bullet. I was thinking then, Man! I'm going to marry her! She's the one!" View this post on Instagram “I'd been single for sometime–you know that phase where your friends say, 'you're single, doing well, don't get into a relationship'?–I tried but got over it quickly. Around then, I met her.. at shows & on sets, but I didn't know how to pursue her! She tweeted about my show & we started talking–I invited her to my play & we went out after! We ended up talking for hours about acting. By the third time, I had a feeling she wasn't getting it! So I specified, 'This is a date okay? & she just nodded! She's not from the acting circuit–she was discovered by chance. It was a breath of fresh air! I've been around serious artists all my life.. this was so different! Even our choices didn't match! The first movie we watched was La la land–I came out of it emotional & she was like eh! I thought oh no–how's this going to work? When we started dating, I was at sea. How do I impress her? I told her that I'm kind of famous as this character, Mikesh..She wasn't bothered! When people asked me for photographs- she'd wonder why! The next time we met, she'd watched my entire show! I asked her how–it was so long-she said she watched it while getting ready! I was confused–Why wasn't it affecting her! But that's how I knew she was with me for the right reasons. It's not one big moment when you know you've met 'the one'. It's how they make you feel everyday; if they make you a better person & she does. But one such moment was last year during holi! I rode my bike to a party & had a little bit of bhang. I was in no state to ride. She saw that & took the keys –I thought she was joking! I mean it was a Bullet! But she just got on & off we went, me in the backseat & my lady driving the bullet. I thought then, Man! I'm going to marry her! She's the one! But, all of a sudden she left for Jammu because she realised acting wasn't for her! I knew then that I wanted to do everything to make this work. I asked her to move back for our relationship–to give us a chance. Thankfully, she agreed, but I didn't want to risk it, so this year on my birthday, I popped the question! She was so happy, she had a childlike smile & I swear even though I gave her a ring, it's me who found the diamond!” A post shared by Humans of Bombay (@officialhumansofbombay) on Sep 8, 2018 at 11:14pm PDT He further said, "This year on my birthday, I popped the question! She was so happy, she had this childlike smile on her face, and I swear even though I gave her a ring, it's me who found the diamond!" Shah Rukh Khan taught us that the day you fall in love you will hear bells ringing, rose petals falling from the sky and a soft violin music playing in the background. While most of us are waiting for that day (hopefully not), for Sumeet it was a Holi party and bhang and eventually a Bullet that turned into Cupid.

3 Exercises That Will Tighten Up And Build Your Core Strength

Whenever we use the term 'core', it is generally construed that we are talking about the so called 'six pack abs. However, when it comes down to the real core strength, it's not just those chiseled wash board ones that actually matter. It is the test of the function of what your core is actually meant to do. Your core is designed to stabilize your spine and to help it to move efficiently. Your core muscles collectively create a stiffness that limits the excessive movement of the spine in any direction. So it's not just enough to have those visible biscuits on your abdomen but you should also have real core strength too. Let's discuss a few reasons why you need a strong core and how can you build one. Why Build A Strong Core - A strong core helps you maintain a good body posture. A good posture helps you to avoid major musculoskeletal injuries. It also helps you prevent chronic back injuries. - A strong core will help you in improving the functionality and performance of your body. Thus, not just conditioned athletes, anyone who trains to be fit should aim for a strong core. - It will also help people who have a desk job and thus have to sit on a chair for prolonged hours. They often complain about having regular back pain. Strengthening of core muscles can actually help them reduce the symptoms of back pain. Following are some very good exercises to build a strong core. 1) Planks © Freeletics One of most common and yet effective exercise to strengthen your core is planks. Planks are convenient to perform as you do not need an equipment to perform this exercise. Just lie on the floor with your toes and forearms touching the floor while rest of the body is at shoulder level above the floor. Keep your arms bent and directly below the shoulder. Try to hold the position for as long as possible. 2) Hanging Leg Raise With Holds © YouTube This one is not going to be easy for beginners so make sure that you take things a little slower for your body to adapt the progression. You can perform this on a pull-up bar or a Bar dip station. Stand straight and grab the pull-up bar with a grip that's shoulder width apart. Now lift your torso till it makes a 90 degree angle with your legs. Exhale out your breadth as you perform the movement. Try to hold the movement for a second and then bring your legs down. This is the initial progression and with time you have to increase the holding time of your legs at the 90 degree angle. If you do this correctly, trust me only one exercise is going to be enough for your core training. 3) Compound Movements © YouTube Compound movements like overhead squat and press, deadlift, squatting and bench press work on your core as well. This may come as a surprise to a lot of guys out there but that's actually true. In all these compound exercises, your core plays an important role in stabilizing your body when you lift heavy in these exercises. Therefore, someone who lifts real heavy in deadlift and squatting will never have a weak core. It's because when you lift heavy, you automatically engage your core muscles when you embrace your abdomen. Thus a heavy lifter may not have visible abs but he will always have a strong core. Make sure to incorporate heavy compound movements too in your training routine to build up a strong core. 7 Rajkummar Rao Movie Characters Every Indian Man Can Relate To Easily

Amongst all the flak 'nepotism' has got in this day and age with all the debates and arguments doing the rounds about it, one thing is for certain. It really doesn't matter if you're a star kid being served on a silver platter, or a commoner who came to Mumbai with INR 500 in his or her pocket, as long as you have the talent and the determination, nothing can deter your spirit to make it big.  Such is the case with Bollywood's newest sensation, who has done more versatile roles than Salman Khan's bare chest, on camera! Of course, I am talking about Rajkummar Rao and he's here to stay! © Pinterest You don't have fill in the standards for being 'perfect' or 'hot' or even 'good looking'. Not that I am saying Rao isn't a good-looking lad, but if you come with a plethora of talent and can fit into any role easily, you really don't have to depend on your looks as much.  He's won awards for some fabulous roles and dialogue deliveries in films like 'Shahid' and 'Newton' and we can never wait too long to find out what he's churning out next. © Pinterest Now, he's done a role befitting every shade and genre of a typical Indian man. Some of his roles get too real for an assumption, but they're well executed and bring out the realism that life wants us to deal with. Yes, we love Rajkummar Rao and there's a little bit of every Indian man, in each one of his roles, he's ever portrayed. Here are 7 prominent roles Rajkummar Rao has ever portrayed. Which one do you identify with the most? (1) Shaurya From 'Trapped' Shaurya is a city dweller, who like most men struggling in Mumbai, is living on the hope that things will finally fall back to place in his life. He's ambitious and a non-quitter and he does get 'trapped' in a situation he can barely make his way out from. And why? Only because he goes all out for love and wants to keep it fresh and alive in his life.  That's what the story is all about. Shaurya wants to get an apartment so that he can move in with his girlfriend, but the only one he can afford is on the 35th floor of a secluded building, which is still under construction. © Reliance Entertainment He gets locked in the house for several days without food and water and that's where you see the real character come out. He maintains his grit to come out as a survivor and a real hero who has patience and an 'I don't give up that easy' attitude. Are you a non-quitter too, who will go to any length to solve a daunting problem in your life? If yes, then this is the character for you. (2) Newton Kumar From 'Newton' Newton is a character full of idealism and hope who always sticks out for what is right! Rajkummar Rao plays a government clerk who's steadfastly doing what is always right and sticking up for the wrong in society. He's sincere and sometimes gets confused for a simpleton who doesn't understand the ways of the world.  So, if you're an idealist stuck in a world where you stand up for what's wrong because you feel it's your responsibility, this is the character for you! © Eros International (3) Pritam Vidrohi From 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' So his last name in the movie is 'Vidrohi' which explains his character well. Pritam Vidrohi is a rebel without a cause, an outspoken fearless man who will even don a sari to make a sale!  You see his character shift from a sombre, mild-mannered man to a Vidrohi (rebel) because he's been bullied all his life! But even so, he takes life with a pinch of salt and stands up to take on a fight whenever someone treats him like a pushover! Which is what happened all his life. Relate much? © AA Films (4) Shahid Azmi From 'Shahid' It's unfair to compare anyone to Shahid Azmi because the movie is based on the late advocate's life but there are some character traits that can match your personality too.  Rajkummar Rao plays the 33-year-old criminal defence lawyer, who was criticised for representing people accused in terror cases. Standing up for your own self is one thing but fighting for someone else who needs a good fight is another. That was what Shahid Azmi did when he stood up for the Muslim men who were wrongly accused of terrorism.  Have you been the kinda guy who's stood up and fought for someone else's right? © UTV Motion Picture (5) Vicky From 'Stree' Vicky, who is a very talented tailor is also fearless. When the whole village believes that it's haunted by a vengeful witch, Vicky is the only one who believes that her reason for haunting the villagers is that she's had a traumatising death, and no one gave her the respect she truly deserved when she was alive.  Which is also a great metaphor for a man standing up for a woman, when he knows she's being disrespected in society! He's also the one who ends her tireless quest to find answers in the village, by being fearless and facing her, to help her end her misery! A lot of men need to be Vicky today! © AA films (6) Vijay From 'Queen' Okay, maybe very few of you will identify with this character only because he's not the ideal man, but there are men like Vijay, who shy away from responsibility when it doesn't suit them but do come around!  Vijay is set to marry Rani but he then ditches her because he feels she doesn't have a modern outlook towards life, only to realise later on that she's the real queen of his life. Why? Because she sends him a picture by mistake which shows off her cleavage a little bit. He flies halfway across the world to apologise and win her back.  Would you do that for someone when you know you've truly messed up? Then you're this guy! © Viacom 18 Motion Pictures (7) Gattu From 'Behen Hogi Teri' Gattu is one lovesick puppy who doesn't give up on love. He's been in love with the same woman since he was a kid and even though she treats him like a brother, he can't change the way he feels. That's a little disturbing but are you the guy who never gives up on true love? Then you're Gattu! © AA Films It doesn't matter which Rajkummar Rao character you resonate with the most since all of them are brilliant. What matters is, if you do relate to a character, you're a good human being because all his characters are about never giving up on anything, standing up for yourself, or for someone else and lastly standing up for love, always!

5 Ways To Spot A Woman Who Is A Gold Digger & Stay Away From Her

If you think you're surrounded by women or a woman who only gives a damn about your money, then you have yourself a gold digger, my friend.  A gold digger is a loose term used for someone (mostly women) who have vested interests in dating you or being with you because all she wants is your money or for you to spend it on her.  Sometimes it's tough to realise the presence of someone like this in your life but there are ways to identify a gold digger and completely cut them off from your life, because why would you let anyone use you? If you know someone who is a gold digger in someone else's life, it's time to warn them too. © YouTube If you suspect the woman in your life to be a gold digger, here are 5 ways to identify her and cut her off! (1) She Agrees With Almost Everything Gold diggers have an overtly agreeable attitude and they usually agree with anything you say to them or ask them to do. That's because they're people pleasers and will do anything to get you to spend your money on them. If you are with a girl who barely says no or stands her ground in order to please you, you know she has ulterior motives. This is a very common manipulative tactic used by a gold digger. (2) She Has Expensive Tastes Have you ever heard the saying 'cut your coat according to the cloth'? Well, that doesn't stand true for a gold digger and she'll always go beyond what she can afford because she has expensive tastes. If she's not in a high paying job and yet she likes to wear branded clothes and shoes and always expects you to buy her ridiculously expensive things, with no consideration for your wallet, then you know what you're in for. (3) Gifts Will Always Make Her Forgive You If she's angry with you, buy her a gift and she'll forget why she was angry with you in the first place. That's how gold diggers function. They're very materialistic and selfish and the only way you can pacify them is by mollycoddling their expensive tastes. Most problems in relationships should be sorted out by communicating with the other person and if gifts are the only way she calms down, then it's really not worth it. (4) She's Materialistic And Shallow That's a given right? If you're dating a gold digger, there's not much of an emotional connect you'll form with her. She won't remember important dates or events. She won't have a heart-to-heart ever and all she'll care about would be her materialistic possessions and her wants. It's like being with a hollow person devoid of emotions because she's not in love with you really. She's in love with your money! (5) She Uses Sex As A Weapon She uses sex very strategically with you. By that, I mean if you do something wrong she will refuse to have sex with you, psyching you to believe that her way of getting back at you is neglecting you physically. If you do something right, like buy her an expensive present, she'll probably give you the best night of your life. She uses sex as a reward system and she's conditioning you to basically pay her for sex! Through gifts and money of course. So, if you see these signs, they're actually warning bells, my friend. Especially if the relationship is fairly new. Do yourself a solid and cut the person off, before you go bankrupt!

Women Share 4 Major Deciding Factors While Rejecting A Guy, Make Sure You're Not Guilty Of Them

Rejections and failures are said to be the best teachers in life. They allow us to assess the circumstances and prepare for a better comeback in the future, thereby not only enabling us to learn from our mistakes but also help improve upon our strengths. While other rejections in life may be a little easier to get past, a rejection in the matters of the heart can a lot of time to get over, especially if you really love someone but the feelings are not reciprocated. As hard as it can be, there's no denying that the majority of us might have been through it. © Pexels That got us thinking if we could perhaps get together and chart out the major deciding factors behind those rejections and quickly got down to it. We went around asking fellow friends and young girls and there surfaced what seems to be like a common trope behind most rejections. These reasons are pretty easy for guys to overlook but matter a whole lot to the girls and play an important role in their decisions. So be sure to read through to find out what they said. 1. Your Personality Is Too Strong Or Not Strong Enough via GIPHY “I see red flags when a guy is domineering to the point of trying to take control of my life. I hate that in a man.” - Lavanya Chauhan We know it seems more like a contradiction but most of the women we asked said that while they liked a man who is confident and has a purpose in life, they were also repelled by the ones who tend to be overbearing and have a controlling streak, thus inhibiting their freedom and movement. They want to be able to breathe in the relationship, but that also doesn't mean they want you to be too mellow. 2. You Exhibit Lack Of Confidence via GIPHY “I can instantly tell if I want to date a guy by the way he carries himself. He need not be the most good looking guy in the room, but he needs to have an air of confidence around him.” - Mohana Deb We also noticed that just like men like dating confident women, women also have the hots for men who exude confidence. Most women we spoke to would rather go for a man who may be average looking but has loads of confidence and knows his sh*t. They feel that men who have confidence mostly tend to be more receptive towards various aspects of the relationship and know how to take control when needed. 3. Lack Of Initiative via GIPHY “I absolutely hate it when guys don't put any efforts into the relationship. I mean what's the point of such a lengthy courtship if you don't give a shit about our future?” - Rupal Singh Now this one is important because almost all the women we spoke to mentioned this one. Lack of initiative and effort in a relationship is a major turn-off for women. We were also told that they really appreciate it when they see the guy investing in the relationship and its future just as much as they do. They like to know that you value her and what you share together. 4. You're Trying Too Hard via GIPHY “But my pet peeve is a guy jo gur pe makkhi ke jaise mujhse chipak jaye. I'd instantly run in the other direction.” - Tara Nair Again, if you feel this comes as a contradiction to the previous point, trust us, we agree too, but when we pointed that out what they said actually made sense.  They said that they want and like the efforts you put in but that does not mean they are looking for someone who is clingy. Women like the sense of chase as much as you do, so it only makes sense if that goes against you. There you go. Make sure to steer clear of these in the future and hopefully you'll not face rejection

Dad's Brutally Honest CV For His Daughter Proves He's The 'Baap' Of Parents Who Troll Their Kids

Do you remember your first job interview? That nervousness of walking inside the room where employers are eagerly waiting to scan and judge you on the basis of your CV. In fact, most of us lost the game solely because someone else's CV was stronger than ours.  Writing an impressive resume is one of the hardest steps in the quest to get a job. You probably had to take advice from your parents or elder siblings on where to start and efficiently list down your skills, qualifications and achievements. While most of us got the best suggestions to ace our resume game, I am sure a certain 16-year-old Lauren Moore from North Yorkshire is currently regretting (or maybe not) her decision to let her dad write her resume.  Lauren Moore/ Twitter The CV looked like a generic one with everything mentioned such as achievements, grades, skills and experience; but it was the content inside that was pure gold.  He mentioned 'giving out all clients' information to fraudsters', 'digging holes looking for gold', 'browsing Facebook' and 'f**king everything up' as responsibilities and 'lazy', 'late', 'rude' and 'couldn't give a f**k' as skills and personal qualities.  Lauren Moore/ Twitter At least now we know who is not getting a job anytime soon.   Lauren posted this hilarious CV on social media with the caption, "Remind me not to let my dad do my CV for me." Well, it's too late Lauren! And this ingenious dad made sure not to miss out on the most important part of the CV - reference. While we list our seniors or former colleagues, he listed a probation officer called Ben Dover and wrote, "Don't contact him, he doesn't give a f**k either."  Lauren Moore/ Twitter Her friends and everyone else who read this masterpiece was left in splits and we're sure you too won't be able to hold your laughter as well, once you take a look at the incredible CV. So folks, the next time your parents tell you, "You cannot fool us! We know everything about you," do not take those words lightly. Who knows, they might have a CV ready for you as well.

As 'Dil Se' Completes 20 Years, We Wonder Why Bollywood Stopped Making Great Movies Like These

Whenever you think of a film from the 90s, you automatically imagine snow clad mountains and a beautiful actress dancing in her solid coloured chiffon sari, gesturing her love interest in the film to come and join her, and complete the romantic dream sequence, that was probably the highlight of the film.  But Mani Ratnam wasn't one of those directors who'd charter a plane to Switzerland just to shoot a love song or a sad romance for a movie. He believed in realistic cinema and always brought the truest colours of his subject out, in the most intense way back then. © Eros International 'Dil Se' was one of the most basic examples of a classic Mani Ratnam film, and it surely taught me a lot of things while I watched the movie several times growing up. My sheer fascination with the protagonist's passion for love grew threefold and all the songs from the movie stuck with me, for life.  All in all, 'Dil Se' taught me a lot about love and life and gave me an entirely different perspective on Bollywood cinema in the 90s. Ratnam's cinematic experience, Gulzar's lyrics, Rahman's music, Santosh Sivam's screenplay and one of Shah Rukh Khan's best performances till date, 'Dil Se', makes you fall in love with the insatiable sadness and romance the movie showcases, with absolutely no remorse. © Eros International Today, it completes 20 years in Bollywood, and even though it didn't do very well at the box office, here are some lessons in life and love that I take from it and believe in, all at the same time:  Love Is Relentless Yet Selfless Shah Rukh Khan portrays the role of an AIR jockey and meets a mysterious woman on a lonely railway platform and instantly falls in love with her.  But it's not the kind of love we see today but the kind that is probably rare and uninitiated.  He loved her with all his heart but he never forced her to change her life's ideals to suit his needs. He loved her selflessly till the end. I believe we don't believe in that kind of selfless love anymore, the kind 'Dil Se' scripted for the youngsters back then to follow and understand. © Eros International Amar & Meghna's Story Is Unlike Any Other Bollywood Movie Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala, who play Amar and Meghna, have an intriguing love story. It develops slowly and steadily when Amar falls in love with Meghna and moves swiftly through boatloads of poetry and some intense romance.  Even though every step is a struggle for a lost and found kind of love, he still manages to make the best of it, whenever he can. Remember this beautiful dialogue? "Mujhe sabse zyaada pasand hai tumhaari yeh aankhen. Kyunki main jitna bhi inmen dekhna chaahuun...mujhe kuch dikhta hi nahin. Tumhaari andar itna kuch chupaa huaa hai. Mujhe woh bahut pasand hai.." © Eros International You Can Love Someone From A  Distance Throughout the movie, Amar is pining and looking for his lady love, until she lands up in his own house, obviously for other reasons unknown to Amar.  By this time, Amar is almost engaged to another woman (Preity Zinta), but that in no way deters his spirit to love Meghna even more fiercely and finding out her purpose in life, which has been left in the realms of mystery, throughout the movie. But even though he wishes to see her every time he loses her in the movie, he doesn't stop loving her. © Eros International Love Doesn't Have To Be Subtle Or Full Of Conditions Do you remember the scene in the movie when Amar confesses his love for Meghna? It goes something like this -  "Mujhe kuch nahi pata, bas yeh pata hai ki main tumhe chaahta hoon, dil se.." I remember his love for her to be fierce and passionate and I always thought that's the kind of love I want.  I wanted to be loved with that kind of a fervour, and a lot of people do fall in love and fill it with passion, but the generation today is so steadfast on a few things, that there are myriad conditions put in front of love, conditions that everyone has to adhere to.  Love can be daunting, fierce and passionate and it can be beautiful too. And that's the kind of love that lasts. Not the one with conditions. © Eros International Always Express Your Feelings Amar didn't care who Meghna was or what her purpose was in life but he had to share how he felt for her. He didn't care where she came from or where she was going, as long as she knew he loved her and that he wasn't willing to let go.  That's one life lesson this movie has ardently taught me. Never let the people you truly love, go. It's seldom you love and if you need to stick it out to keep them in your life, because they're absolutely worth it, then you definitely must do that. © Eros International 'Dil Se' was an epic cult movie, and it deserves a mention each time it completes another year of existing. Right from the beautiful soundtrack to the abstract and malleable dialogues, it all fits perfectly well with someone who loves without fearing anything or anyone.  If you haven't seen it, you've surely missed out on something. Watch it for the heck of nostalgia or to take a trip down memory lane, in any case!

Saurabh Chaudhary: The 16-Year-old Farmer's Son Who Dreamt Big & Won Bigger At The Asian Games

Irrespective of the sport, the journey of an athlete is usually governed by hard work, dedication and the sheer will to succeed. But, while many helplessly chase success, only a handful manage to reach their true potential and make a mark in their respective fields.  So, what really separates the ones trying to be successful than those who actually are? The answer is pretty simple: they dream. Big, boisterous dreams. No matter how ludicrous they may seem at first, having dreams is an irreplaceable gift and a rare luxury every human being is born with, but not many are able to make full use of it. It doesn't matter how small or big they are, dreams can act as sheer motivation to push one to their limits. And, they are addictive too. Once you've realised a dream, you just can't stop yourself from being obsessed with another. It's a chain reaction you see, one feeds the other. And, the cycle never stops. It shouldn't stop.  You will get frustrated, lose hope and even contemplate the idea of making amends with what you have, but such is the addiction of dreaming that, no matter how hard you run away from it, once you've dreamt of attaining something or reaching somewhere in life, it will keep running at the back of your mind till it's taken care of. The story of India's rising shooting star - Saurabh Chaudhary - is quite similar. Hailing from the unheard village of Kalina where farming is the main occupation on the banks of the Hindon river in UP's Meerut tehsil, Saurabh never really dreamt of making a career in professional shooting, let alone win a gold medal for India at the 2018 Asian Games in the 10m air pistol category. GOLD!!! 16 year old Saurabh Chaudhary in men's 10m AP. He is not even an adult and beat a pool of olympic and world championship medal winners. So proud to support u for well over a year now young man ?@OGQ_India? congrats ?@OfficialNRAI?  ?@Media_SAI? pic.twitter.com/bRSjXOrFqM — Viren Rasquinha (@virenrasquinha) August 21, 2018 From a young age, he began helping his father in the farming chores on their ancestral land. It didn't matter whether he liked it or not, farming was the reason his family could afford the basic amenities. But, deep down, Saurabh knew that farming - which allowed his family to sustain themselves all this while - was not something he wanted to do for life. And, he found his calling in professional shooting. At the age of 13, Saurabh began honing his skills in shooting after embracing it as a hobby. But he knew, if his dreams of making it big in the sport were to come true, he had to seek professional help. This was the time when he turned to Amit Sheoran's famed academy at Benoli near Baghpat, 53 km away from Meerut. It's one heck of an achievement to compete at the Asian Games when you are a teenager. But to win a Gold @asiangames2018 is what dreams are made of .. congratulations to Saurabh Chaudhary .. Proud!! ?????? — Sania Mirza (@MirzaSania) August 21, 2018 Hard training and practise for countless hours forced him to stay away from his home and family, but whenever he got some spare time, Saurabh would rush back to his residence and help his father in the daily chores on their farmlands. "I like farming. We don't get much time off from training but whenever I do, I go back to my village and help my father," the youngster told PTI. Despite picking the sport just three years back, Saurabh's shooting skills, including his consistency to hit the mark, soon saw him representing India at the world stage. And, Saurabh didn't disappoint there either. In December 2017, the youngster stunned everyone with a brilliant showing at the Asian Youth Olympics Games qualification. He notched up a sensational shooting total of 243.1 - a then-junior world record - and secured a gold medal finish at the tournament. Thanks to his prolific performance, Saurabh also secured qualification for the 2018 Youth Olympics, slated to be held in Buenos Aires in October this year. 16-year old Saurabh Chaudhary illustrates the potential and prowess our youth is blessed with. This exceptional youngster brings home a Gold in the Men's 10m Air Pistol event at the @asiangames2018. Congratulations to him! #AsianGames2018 pic.twitter.com/FHmF6TM8tK — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) August 21, 2018 The year 2017 saw him being a part of the Indian shooting team that grabbed the bronze at the 2017 World Juniors, where he finished fourth in the individual event. It was also the same year where a 15-year-old Saurabh was seen beating the celebrated Jitu Rai in the 10m air pistol, after bagging silver medals in both the Junior and Youth events on that very day. A year later, Saurabh set the hearts of Indian fans racing with another record-breaking performance at the world stage. The Indian wunderkind set a new junior world record on the way to winning a gold medal at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany earlier in June. He shot a total of 243.7 in the eight-man final of the 10m air pistol event. His consistent performances were the prime reason why he was considered a big medal prospect for India at the 2018 Asian Games by his coaching staff, if not by fans.  Ahead of the Games, no one had any doubt over Saurabh's capabilities, but there were some questions over his temperament since he was making his debut on the senior shooting circuit. A great achievement by Saurabh Chaudhary to win the Gold medal at the Asian Games at just 16 years of age. Wishing all the athletes competing at thd games a very fruitful games #AsianGame2018 — VVS Laxman (@VVSLaxman281) August 21, 2018 But, when the competition began, the 16-year-old turned into a man and delivered arguably the best performance of his short, yet already illustrious, career. Unfazed by the star status or experience of his opponents, Saurabh remained amongst the top two from almost the beginning of his event till it finished. The youngster made his intentions pretty clear in the qualification round where, in six sets, he shot 99 thrice and 98 twice to ensure his total of 586 propelled him to the top spot ahead of seasoned campaigners like 38-year-old Jin Jong-oh (famed South Korean who has won three gold medals at the Asian Games) and 42-year-old Tomoyuki Matsuda (Japanese sharp-shooter decorated with two World Championships gold). In Stage I of the finals, Matsuda managed to assert a two-shot lead over Saurabh as eight finalists finished the round after taking 10 shots apiece. The Stage II, elimination round of the final, proved to be a nail-biter where Saurabh - despite trailing Matsuda for the most part - did exceptionally well to emerge as the winner. 16 years. Very first Asian Games. AND A ?? MEDAL.

The INCREDIBLY talented #SaurabhChaudhary has truly arrived! WELL DONE, young man! Proud of you! #AsianGames2018 #IndiaAtAsianGames pic.twitter.com/JTyBz1QgiG — Rajyavardhan Rathore (@Ra_THORe) August 21, 2018 The final set, where the two remaining shooters were subjected to take two shots, saw Saurabh shooting a 10.2 against Matsuda's mediocre 8.9 - his worst shot of the day. The rare error allowed the Indian to take lead for the first time in the final round. Showing no signs of nerves and maintaining perfect composure, Saurabh scored a brilliant 10.4 in his final shot to edge past Matsuda (who scored 10.3) to run away with the Asian Games gold on debut. Young Saurabh ended the final round with a total score of 240.7 - a new Asian Games record, while Matsuda had to make merry with the silver with the second-best score of 239.7.  If his shooting prowess elated the Indian fans, Saurabh's comments after his gold-medal finish earned him the respect of the shooting fraternity. "I did not feel any pressure. I just came to compete and do my best. I have been in good form and given good results and trained hard," the 16-year-old said. For a young boy who took the sport just three years ago, Saurabh - standing tall at the podium with a gold medal around his neck - didn't just emulate the golden feat achieved by the likes of famed Jaspal Rana, Randhir Singh, Jitu Rai and Ronjan Sodhi, he appeared as the perfect embodiment of a sportsperson who dreamt big and won bigger.

The Incredible Thanos Fight Scene From 'Infinity War' Has Been Recreated In 16-Bit

Modern games have come a long way in terms of graphics, it's become so good that at times you can't even make out whether its an actual footage or CGI. Even though the hardware has been consistently improving, nothing brings in the feel of the 90s double-digit bit rate games that we've played.  Artist and animator, John Stratman has created a 16-bit version of the big fight scene in 'Infinity War' where the team of Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and the Guardians of the Galaxy take on Thanos on Titan. The first half consists of the wonderful 16-bit remake, while the second half compares it side-by-side to the actual film so that you can also experience the drastic change.  The video, made for the YouTube channel 'Mr Sunday Movies', is 10 minutes long and covers almost everything in the entire fight against Thanos on Titan. Right from the fight choreography to Doctor Strange's trippy powers, Stratman has managed to cover everything with just 16-bits. © YouTube While the video is just amazing to watch and will get you all nostalgic, there's no way to play Stratman's version of Infinity Wars as a real video game right now.  Though on the brighter side, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics are working with Marvel on an actual 'Avengers' game, we haven't seen or heard much about it since the release of the teaser trailer. 25-30 years back, this game would've been every Marvel fan's dream. No, why just Marvel fans? The plot and the cliffhanger nature of the series are more than sufficient to have almost every kind of gamer excited for this.   © Marvel Studios The movie, 'Avengers: Infinity War' is now available on digital platforms, DVD, and Blu-ray. The next instalment of the movie is scheduled to come in May 2019. In fact, there have been reports stating that Benedict Cumberbatch is being offered £7.5 million (US$ 9.57 million) to star in the sequel.  'Avengers: Infinity War' has been a huge success for the Marvel Studios. The film has earned more than US$ 2 billion worldwide and is the highest-grossing film of 2018, globally.  Domestically in the USA, the film is the second-highest grossing of the year and the fourth-highest grossing film of all time.

After Almost Four Years Apple Will Finally Update The Mac Mini

According to a report, Apple will finally revive its Mac Mini desktop computer, and will also release a redesigned version of its MacBook Air later this year. The new Mac Mini will be a professional-focused upgrade while the new MacBook Air is said to get cheaper.  Starting with the MacBook Air, the design will remain the same as the current one but will feature thinner bezels around the screen. The 13-inch display will now have higher-resolution, in line with Apple's Retina display technology. The new display panel will have better brightness, a wide color gamut, and an extremely high contrast ratio.  © BCCL "The new MacBook Air will be geared toward consumers looking for a cheaper Apple computer, but also schools that often buy laptops in bulk," say Bloomberg reporters Mark Gurman and Debby Wu. The current MacBook Air lineup starts at US$ 999, the newer version along with the Retina display is expected to cost around US$ 1200. Way back in 2015, Apple launched a 12-inch MacBook which was expected to be a successor but came in with a hefty starting price of US$ 1300. The newer variant is expected to fill the gap and will be targeted towards students and educational institutes.  © BCCL The Mac Mini, on the other hand, will be receiving an upgrade after almost four years. The desktop computer costs a lot lesser at US$ 500, but does not include peripherals like the display monitor, keyboard, and mouse. According to the report the new Mac Mini will be targeted towards professional users and hence will receive upgraded storage, newer processor options, and maybe some new ports.  Apple usually releases new Macs in October, after the iPhone launch. The Mac has been a consistent performer for the company and accounts for 11 percent of all Apple sales. In the recent years, we've seen Apple launching new products that are specifically targeted for students, accompanied by slightly lesser marked prices.  © Apple Google's Chromebook has managed to grab a considerable amount of market share and in response, Apple has been ramping up its iPad lineup. Considering the current report, the new additions and price tag may not be able to put a dent in Google's ecosystem, but will definitely stand up against Microsoft's Surface series.   Source: Bloomberg

Was Aamir Khan On Steroids For His 'Dangal' Transformation?

Aamir Khan's unbelievable transformation for his movie 'Dangal' broke the internet- both Indian and international. That transformation is easily one of the most drastic ones Bollywood has ever seen.  However, that incredible effort from Aamir didn't go well with a few experts. Despite the kind of determination that Aamir Khan is known for; he was accused of steroid usage for his transformation.  Whether there were any unnatural substances used in the transformation or not, is for the coaches to comment upon. In this article, we will look at both sides of the coin without any bias. Aamir's Role Demanded The Transformation © YouTube In 'Dangal', Aamir portrayed the role of Indian Wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who coached his daughter for the 2010 Common Wealth games. For this, Aamir had to enact the older 'father' and the young 'wrestler' in the same movie. This meant that he had to look old enough to look like a 50-year-old and young enough to look like an athlete in a span of a few months.  Since he had to shoot for the 50-year-old first, he gained around 30 kilos for the role. His then weight was 96 kilos at 38% body fat. As soon as the role was completely shot, he went in for his transformation.  Aamir then emerged as a completely different person, having lost a whopping 28 kilos and sitting at a shredded 9% body fat! This was really unbelievable, as he did this in just 5 months.  Don't Forget That Aamir Has Undergone Transformations Before As Well © YouTube This was not the first time that Aamir had transformed himself for a movie. If you remember in 2009, he did a movie called 'Ghajini' where he sported a chiselled physique for the first time on the silver screen.  Go back to the year 1998 when he did a movie called 'Ghulam', he was still in good shape if not absolutely chiselled. What started during 'Ghajini' went on with 'Dhoom 3' and 'PK' for almost a decade.  In 'Dhoom 3' as well as 'PK', Aamir's physique was at its best. He had toned muscles with low body fat percentage. It was almost 6 to 7 years of shooting for these movies that Aamir was in top notch shape. Why It Looks Natural © YouTube First, I would like to discuss why Aamir Khan's body transformation looks absolutely natural.  Like I discussed above, he trained himself rigorously for 'Ghajini' when he achieved a decent physique for the first time. And at that time, he admitted that it took almost a year of professional training and diet for him to achieve that feat, which sounds considerable.  After that, apart from a couple of years, his physique has always been a talking point in every movie. He was constantly training and dieting for almost 6 to 7 years before he started shooting for 'Dangal'.  With almost a decade of weight training and diet, Aamir already had decent muscle mass with good muscle maturity and muscle memory. Also, when he gained weight for 'Dangal', he did not stop weight training completely. He just went on huge calorie surpluses that lead to the weight gain.  In fact, with excess calories and good weight training, his body gained good muscle mass along with that extra fat. Thus, in those 5 months of his transformation, all he had to do was get rid of that layer of fat on his muscles. Not to mention that muscle memory and muscle maturity played a crucial role here along with an unparalleled dedication that Aamir is known for.  And for those experts who claim that he had those 3d 'delts' which are a sign of anabolic usage, well, if you look at Aamir's earlier transformation pictures, he always had good delts and traps since 'Ghajini'. They only got better with time.  Also, physique looks comparatively huge on screen than what it actually is. The camera angles and other effects also add up to the total screen effect that you see. Why It Looks Unnatural So does this mean that Aamir did not take anabolic steroids? Well, like I said in the starting of this article itself, only Aamir or his trainer can comment on that. However, considering the time taken to achieve such a drastic transformation, it does raise an eyebrow for suspicion.  You could say that since he is a celebrity and has crores of money riding on his name, he couldn't have left anything to chance. Also, since he is 50 plus now, why would he work so hard to do it naturally? Well, maybe that's Aamir Khan for you. After The Killer Floods, Kerala Now Faces A Bigger Challenge - Fake News

The age of the internet can lead to a zillion debacles within seconds. It's become a place where rumours and fake updates travel like wildfire and threaten to destroy the peace and sanity we possess as a society, thanks to a handful of tech-savvy, active internet operatives, who never fail to cease the chance to have a few jesting moments. © pixabay-free to use What they don't realise, however, is that such misrepresentations and sarcastic pieces have the power to whip up abundant trouble online, while the repercussions dribble slowly onto the offline space. Since we got a taste of our share of having to deal with the fakes, here's giving you an update on the ones that you must steer clear of ASAP. To Give You A Better Idea © pixabay-free to use While you must have already figured it out for yourself, this story gives you a quick heads up on some of the fake news that is steadily surfacing on the internet and social media around the Kerala floods.  All you need to do is identify them and nip in the bud before it turns into a pain in the arse for unassuming folks like many of us. Fake News Alert 1 The most recent piece of information, or rather misleading information, that's surfaced across a number of social media channels is this rant by someone who goes by the name of Suresh Kochattil, who has now also been identified as an aspiring politician. As can be seen from the post above, Kochattil is seen claiming that the elites of Kerala would not care for people's handouts and one must check with proper authorities before sending across materials, since as per his personal research, more than 200 truck-loads of material are waiting at Coimbatore and Mysore. Thus, what people need is manpower and skilled labourers, plumbers, electricians and the likes, instead of money and materials since most Malayalis are rich people with ample money.  Naturally, he has been bashed for his statements by the public for his uninvited claims and statements. Fake News Alert 2 Imposter wearing Army combat uniform in video spreading disinformation about rescue & relief efforts. Every effort by all & #IndianArmy  aimed to overcome this terrifying human tragedy.Forward disinformation about #IndianArmy on WhatsApp +917290028579. We are at it #KeralaFloods pic.twitter.com/ncUR7tCkZW — ADG PI - INDIAN ARMY (@adgpi) August 19, 2018 The Indian Army took to Twitter in a measure to prevent the fake news formulated by a man identified as Unni Nair, who is also an ex-serviceman, in the form of a video message spreading false information about the relief work being carried out by the paramilitary and the government in the flood-hit areas of Kerala.  The Indian Army as well as Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan have condemned such acts and have warned that stringent action will be taken against the culprits.  Which is why we say, cross-check before you send that forward. Fake News Alert 3 © Twitter Though this story might have been put together as a satirical piece, it has backfired big time! A “satirical news portal” published a fake story on the floods claiming that a man lost his life after he refused to wear a saffron coloured life jacket that was offered to him during rescue operations because the colour is affiliated with Hindutva.  Perhaps this was meant to be a critique of what our nation has come to of late. But that aspect of our society could have been mirrored in a different manner and not by playing on people's sentiments in a time of crisis, and surely not by adding political colour to it in order to invigorate people's political differences. © pixabay-free to use There might just be more of such fake news lurking in the shadows to pounce upon unassuming people and we must be wary of them. This menace is only hurting those who are actually trying to do some good in the flood-ravaged state.

Koffee With Karan's New Season Might Kickstart With Suhana Khan As The First Guest

The nepotism debate in Bollywood keeps heating up every day when a new star kid is launched. While some fans love it, people who genuinely struggle with talent running in their veins obviously find it a bitter pill to swallow, and why not. This year the debut movies of Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Khan were announced. While Janhvi's debut 'Dhadak' has already hit the theatres, Sara's debut is yet to release. Amidst this entire controversy, SRK's daughter Suhana Khan was dragged in the nepotism arena after she made it to the cover of a magazine. #Memories ð @_suhanaakhan2 ðððððððð . . . #suhanakhan #srk #shahrukhkhanlovers #shahrukhkhanclub #shahrukhkhanfanclub #shahrukhkhanfans #shahrukhkhan #gaurikhandesigns #gaurikhan #bollywoodlove #bollywoodactors #bollywoodqueen #bollywoodmusic #bollywoodsong #bollywoodstar #bollywoodsongs #bollywoodmovies #bollywoodmovie #bollywooddance #bollywoodfashion #bollywoodactor #bollywoodactress #bollywoodstyle #bollywood A post shared by Suhana Shahrukh khan ð (@_suhanaakhan2) on Aug 19, 2018 at 11:59am PDT People started calling out the entire issue about everyone promoting star kids and what was the struggle they had to endure in order to get this massive amount of fame. Meet The Unsung Heroes Of Kerala Floods, The Brave Fishermen Who Refused To Accept Money For Saving Lives

While Kerala continues its battle with one of the worst floods in the state's history, there are some people who deserve a big shout out and a huge round of applause for tirelessly working day and night to carry out the rescue missions.  No amount of words are enough to salute the bravery and courage that the volunteers, NDRF members, Indian Navy, Army, and local police have displayed while rescuing the flood victims and ensuring their safety. However, there are many whose help is largely going unnoticed. Today, let's salute the unsung heroes of Kerala - the brave fishermen.  © Reuters Anyone who is active on social media must have come across this video of a fisherman, who knelt down in knee-deep water so that women can use his back to climb onto the boat. The man commands our respect for this heartwarming gesture.   A scene from #Thrissur in #Kerala. However, Khais Mohammad, leader of those fishermen, has refused to accept the money. In a video posted on Facebook, he said that he and his colleagues were happy to hear the words of praise from the chief minister for their efforts. "We are really happy that I and my friends rescued several people. What made us happier was when you said that we (fishermen) are your army," he said. He further added, "But after that we heard that for our services we will be paid Rs. 3,000. Sir, that made us really sad as we do not want money for saving the lives of fellow humans,"  © Twitter Mohammad was happy that the government promised to repair their boats that got damaged during the rescue operation and said, "That's good news. But we do not want money for saving lives." People like Khais Mohammad and all the fishermen, who are risking their lives to rescue the flood victims, are proof that humanity is priceless and can never be honoured with money. Source: NDTV
